Great reaction. Wow, a 7 on Dave's Steely Dan Scale! Not too shabby at all!. I knew this one had the potential to be controversial for Dave, since it's "Sacred ground" but I figured it would generate some awesome conversation and I dug the attempt. it was one of the best cover versions I've heard. That guitar solo is pretty darn challenging. Here's a live rock fusion cut with some really great chops heavy, yet melodic guitar and drums for Dave to check. It's the band, Pline with the cut, The Glass Bead. ua-cam.com/video/7s0QvlQdLDk/v-deo.html
For an all around cover band check out HSCC, they are worth a listen. From the Gibbs bros to M Jackson and Barry White, they have got it down, including a rotating lineup.
It was pretty well played, but I couldn't get into the vocals at all. It just sounded way too white bread for my taste...who needs a tamer version? Let's hear some more Big Wreck. ;)
All the music sounds great to me. Vocals were just ok but overall I dug this. Thanks guys.
