Arlecchinos kit benefits from AOE situations, that doesn't mean she is better in AOE than Neuvillette.
Neuvillette can routinely hit entire spawn waves of enemies even if they appear at maximum spread with only a little effort in positioning. That includes enemies that can't be grouped. No other character in the game can do this.
Not only that, he's HYDRO
And before those idiots say neuv does no dmge to hydro enemies, I'll just slap that side with my C2 nahida hyperbloom

I have Neuvillette already but have been tempted to pull Arle, so this was a really well-thought-out and precise/informative video on her and how she would be played. It's given me a lot more insight and now I'll have to consider if I'm a reckless player or if I can make myself learn to play more skillfully haha. Thanks for the detailed guide!

Honestly the biggest reason I'm skipping her is because I really dont wanna farm a brand new artifact domain just for one character. Neuvillette has the benefit of having one of the best artifact domains to farm, since both sets are really strong for a lot of characters. While it's hard to gauge how useful her set is gonna be in the long run for anyone other then her, and the other set in that domain seems really niche. That could be something to consider when picking who to pull on.

This was actually a really good and simple explanation for Arlecchino's kit, thanks! I recently got Neuvillette and it's been fun turning my brain off and water blasting enemies. I will pull for Arlecchino too though since I like her and I don't really have a proper on field pyro DPS other than my c1 Gaming. But I am a bit worried since from your explanation, Arlecchino might be more difficult to use and I 100% have skill issue.

I went for and got C0 & C1 Neuvillette. My fear is that with Arlecchino her damage won't live up to the hype given how mihoyo was futzing with her numbers up until the end, telling me that they didn't like her damage either.
Now, I'm using 4.6 to save up to be able to C1 & C2 my C0 Furina since I love her damage buffing and want to make her that much stronger.
Yeah I feel the same way. But the theory crafters were very wrong about Navia so we'll see. I think I'm in the wait for testing camp, as well.

Though it would be stupid of them to sabotage Natlan with unrealistic expectations just to make Arlecchino cracked and perpetuate the Hu Tao problem, I think they realised this and it is why they made adjustments to her so much.
Personally she doesn't sound worth it to me as a character or in meta. She's a glupshitto Harbinger and her only value to me is Dottore voice lines, which I patiently await, as I do playable Dottore.

Navia is strong enough but Geo still sucks as an element, which limits her a lot. Eula suffers from the same fate where SHE can hit big numbers, but physical is abysmal, so it doesn't matter in the end if she can't work around reactions the way Genshin is meant to be played.
I love both of them, but yeah, they weren't wrong about her being a strong unit but not meta-defining in any way, let alone the saviour of Geo. We were all hoping, because she is beautiful, but as much as I like her, she will inherently pale to a unit that can cause relevant reactions for the team, let alone one as flexible as Neuvillette.
Arlecchino won't be Dehya-tier bad I'm sure, but she definitely isn't going to be anything special. Natlan is around the corner and that nation focuses on pyro, Arlecchino is probably going to be like Scaramouche where they are decent enough but not must-have units by any means (compare to Kazuha/Sucrose for anemo, or Bennett/Xiangling for pyro.) I would say Hu Tao can go there for now as well, though tbh Natlan will probably see her and Bennett/Xiangling finally dethroned, since it focuses on Pyro.
It would make no sense for them to create immense pressure to make cracked pyro units to compete with not only Hu Tao now but Arlecchino too, or sabotage the entire nation/version with tons of units that will focus on Pyro in favour of making *one* unit that isn't even an important Harbinger cracked.
I'm not sure why people expected Arlecchino to be more than what she is. If she was a top Harbinger, then sure, she should be cracked since the top three are on par with Archons. It would be scandalous if Dottore, Columbina, and Capitano [presuming the latter two are playable, Dottore confirmed] were hyped as such and turned out to be mid units. They'll inevitably be cracked when they release, though they will have justification for it, and it likely won't jeopardise an entire nation's version (Dottore will release either in Natlan or most likely Snezhnaya, we'll see I suppose, and is speculated to be Cryo claymore. Columbina and Capitano remain to be seen in both element and release, if the latter even happens for Capitano, considering his body type.)
But yeah, Arlecchino wasn't ever going to powercreep Neuvillette, the entire concept of that is laughable in the extreme, especially when it was such a big deal for him to get his powers back and he is as strong as an archon. Even Nahida hasn't been powercrept yet lmao, or Al-Haitham for that matter, imagine if they just let Neuvillette have 3 good patches before some glupshitto mogged him, it'd be a joke.
Arlecchino was destined to be as her Harbinger rank - utterly mid.

I had been saving for long time and went all in neuv with c1r1. First time on weapon banner. So worth it. Love how hard he hits, self sustain, can pretty much use every character with him or solo. The whole dragon thing gets me right in my geeky brain!

Shenhe is an excellent support for Cryo units. Ayaka in particular.
I already have Neuvillette, and I really want Arlecchino. I could get c1 Neuvillette, but I like how cool arlecchino looks
I'm skipping Arlecchino until the community has some time with her. She just sounds like too much work. I'm sure it's not so bad in practice, but I already think Tartaglia is on the complicated side if you want to do his nukes and Alhaitham is tricky for me. Arlecchino sounds worse than both of them put together. The pay off, I'm sure, is amazing, but it sounds like a lot of work to get it.
Just give me Ayato, and Hu Tao.

@@TenshiOMA i really hate playing around her hp mechanic and she does very well in the beginning of the fight but falls off very fast, honestly at this point just go for the one whos playstyle you would prefer but i find myself really enjoying neuvis kit and that vampire wont even come close in damage by herself

Neuvillette is just much safer and easier to use in many different circumstances even at C0 along with the fact that his BIS set is Marechausse hunter than enables you to run him at max 64 crit rate and build as much crit damage and HP% as you can.

Its very straightforward for me,Otter wins as he just reliably provides damage equally to single or multi targets,in case of father her damage rotation survival would depend on number of enemies ,quality of build and even her sig weapon

As I already have Neuv, my big question was about Arlec's teams.
It almost sounds like Thoma might receive a bit of a usage boost, with his shield refresh on NA, and the Pyro Resonance boost...
But who else? I'm almost thinking that Sucrose might be a better grouper (than Kaz) for Arlec because it's somewhat directed, which would make more sense for the Skill, so that leaves you with XQ or Yelan for the final slot, and Yelan being a bit more useful with her NA damage boost, and Lifeline tagging.
Going straight for arlecchino. Neuv's gameplay on his testing was the deciding factor since I didn't enjoy just staying there and spamming death rays. And playing with mona as a main dps I found that I much enjoy melee characters alot more. Thus I will go arlecchino and go for a 4 star vape team as I'm f2p. (Plus I got a good weapon for her already so it's a plus plus)

Shields are gonna be a almost must includes in arleccino teams for sure...as it is Pyro normal atk, maybe kirara and Layla types will be better for extra damage from reactin while having an anemo for vv and grouping.
I tried pulling for Neuvillette twice now and lost both times lol. That said my hydro roster is already pretty stacked. My plan now is to get Arlecchino and then save for more vertical investment in Furina (c1r0 to c2r1). Though that probably means skipping Chlorinde which might be hard... As for who is the better dps, I think it goes to Neuvillette honestly. Not only is he super easy to pilot, his multipliers are absurdly broken. I also think he's still better in pure AoE because of the spin to win tech (if you can handle the motion sickness lol). I do see your point that Arlecchino in skillful hands will also be super powerful, especially when you are able to make use out of her frontloaded damage. That's what makes Navia so powerful and I expected a similar situation for Arlecchino. Her playstyle and animations are more cooler imo so I think I'm making the right choice going for her, and I have PJWS which is going to be quite strong on her.

tbh idk whats so confusing about arlecchino tho? i heard 1 well put together explanation and i understand it perfectly now, skill does the debuff that you use charged to absorb to get bond of life, if ya wait 5s you get wayyy more BoL at >30% you get pyro infused normals and the more BoL you have the more dmg they do, the burst is ur only form of healing and it resets skills cd and consumes ur BoL. Nothing to complicated, just cuz ppl like neuvi is so simple dont mean arlecchino is complicated or confusin
side note: can we appreciate how beautiful arlecchinos animations are? like that burst boutta make me burst ngl, the normals and skill r great to
also also imo at C1 you should be able to go full on neuvillette and solo abyss, C1 gives interruption resistance (like a certain water laser judge) and you no longer have to wait to get that sweet, sweet, 130% BoL from ur skill, she also can self heal though not to the extent of neuvillette + youd have to be in melee range so you better be a dodging god but still i reckon you could do it without toooo much hassle
(still will get the scythe on her rerun over C1 tho cuz i LOOOOOOOOVE scythes)
Future prediction as all harbingers childe and wanderer were strong and op in right scenarios it will be same for arlechino. I don't think she is going to be broken like neuvillette hes hydro sovereign after all.
I've already got Neuvilette C1 and his signature, but only 55 pulls and no guarantee for Arlecchino, so I guess I'll try to go for both, even tho it doesn't seem possible
Natlan is coming, I'd rather save for the pyro archon, possibly cons and weapon too. Archon's will always be stronger than harbinger. Just take a look where childe and hat guy are now

Wouldn't Arlecchino be able to use plunging and charged attack too? She just gains a 30% pyro dmg bonus from herself apparently so if her skill has something like a 30 or 20 sec cooldown then after absorbing all the bond of life, she could technically use more chraged attacks and plunging could be initiated with Xianyun

From a fairly new player perspective Neuvillette is like a turbo booster four your team...esp combined with Fischl, Bennett, Xiangling, etc...
Before him my dungeons took about 3-4 minutes, bosses aswell....with him half the time. ;)
I'm also a new player or you can say a mid game player at ar52 and having neuvilette is like having a entire team bro doesn't need any support to perform well and i don't recommend any new player to pull arlechino because first of all she is a new character and nobody knows whether is good or not, secondly whether she is F2P friendly or not and many more. And end game player can pull whatever they want.
Neuvillette is crazy tbh. If I wasn't committed to Dottore I would pull.
Meta onlu, Neuvillette and Kazuha > Arlecchino and Tbf most other characters, but definitely Arlecchino,
@@Dj001.She is not F2P-friendly at all. Needs C1 just to have a bit of interruption resistance and best weapons are both P2W. Needs a whole new artefact set AND boss drops to herself. All to be worse than Hu Tao, lol.

In 4.5 rolled and lucked out with C1 Neuvillette -- now saving for Furina... I will let the early adopters test Arlecchino and catch her the next time around.
Something to note is that since Arlecchino is squishy when it comes to being interrupted, she NEEDS resitance to interruption which she get from C1 (like Neuvy). So if you don't get lucky, I suggest using XQ and not Yelan. She also has a passive which gives her all elemental resistance based on ATK, 1% for every 100 ATK above the 1000 ATK mark, for a max of 20% (3000 ATK) which gives her a little survivability since she can't be healed apart fron her Burst.
Yeah good point, I pretty much assumed if ppl are playing Arlecchino will probably be fine i-framing and not using any interruption resistance to just go for max damage.
Luckily I have C1 Neuvillette and Kazuha. Still undecided about Arlecchino…. May save for Natlan, pyro Archon and maybe a dragon. If I did not have Neuvillette now, I would for sure pull him now. Hydro Dragon Sovereign is all I need to know. 😅

Yeah I wasn't planning to get Arlecchino to begin with since I wasn't interested in any new Pyro chars (and polearm users aren't my fav to use either), but after seeing the 4.6 special program, it solidified my decision to not get her because her playstyle in some ways does remind me of both Hu Tao and Xiao- High risk/high reward and I just don't like that kind of anxiety in a game.
I love Hu Tao, but yeah she requires a shielder. Arlecchino is just boring tbh.
I already got a neuvi and want a c1 but already run out of primos :D so in a rush to gather more and wish more before banner ends, worse comes to worst i will have saved pity for next banners i dont think i will wish for arlecchino after seeing your video. thanks for that
i got neuv and today his c1. the best and strongest dps. even i lost 50/50 twice and it cost me about 48k permo. Now collecting for his sign weapon in the next rerun.

I was thinking about pulling for Arleccino, until I realised she doesn't have any benefit over Hu Tao. Still polearm, which cannot hit opponents from the distance, especially flying ones. Also HP drain mechanics and healing (herself only) on burst. Would it be worth to pull for her if I have C0 Hu Tao, but with F2P weapons? I was hoping for better pyro character (like pyro Neuvillete), but I'm worried Arleccino won't be much better than Hu Tao.
I already have Neuvillette, so should I go for Peruere as well?
I already pulled 3 Neuvillette and a 50/50 loss to Tighnari. Then rolled Neuvi's sig weapon. I do have 40 wishes left but I'm not really that convinced in wanting to roll for Arlecchino. All I want now is a Nahida. I missed out on all her banners....

if you dont have sustained DPS, or well built support go for nuvillette.
If you have good DPS and supports, go for alrecchino.
[ alrecchino will get better with time, every patch will buff her since there will be new BOL system and related support character for ex. Cloride as sub dps, sigwinnie as best wape support for alrecchino since shr will be generating BOL ]

What if hoyo releases a support which maintains high blood debt directive on her . What if the blood debt directive is the gimmick of natland on which hoyo will expand on .
Tbh, Zhongli isn't even that bad of an option and not that great of a damage lose _if_ you know what you're doing.
I run Neuvillette, Furina, Kazuha & Zhongli all C0, which means I don't get all of Neuvi's Talent's stacks, only two. My Neuvi still out damages a traditional rainbow Neuvi team because I have Zhongli in an Archaic Petra build focused on shielding.
Normally, AP Zhongli is used to spam his burst, but the 4pc effect greatly increases Neuvillette's Hydro Damage when you Crystallize the enemy's Hydro aura. Coupled with Kazuha's Elemental DMG buff and Furina's fanfare, Neuvillette is still a sizeable powerhouse even with only 2 stacks of his passive.
Same would go for a Zhongli in an Arlecchino team. AP provides a really good elemental buff.

The thing is Neuvi can sustain pretty well with himself, and with team, he works great. But Arle is gonna be so frail with not receiving heal, cause if not c1 you'll have to get a shielder, if you think thats skill issue and better to use dodge, no its not. She's NA reliant, which dodging will ruin her attack sequence if you dodge in a middle of a fight, unless she's like Wriothesley. And Neuvi even without shield can easily dodge the attack while in CA state, you can easily reposition your character.
I'm still gonna get Father tho, her animations are sick. I already have Neuvi run on abyss.

Yeah Dodging a lot can be annoying but you still have your infusion on her since only NA drains the BOL

@@xxx-lq7ho hu taos infusion has a duration. If you're stunned or interrupted your duration will continue to drain so it's not the same case as Arlecchino since her infusion goes away only when below 30% bond and bond only goes down upon hitting enemies with NA, I terms of healing she's exactly like hu tao, sure hu tao has more hp but she also drains her own hp so you can still die, Arlecchino doesn't drain her hp the only problem is her max hp isn't high but then again if you're gonna fight a boss in abyss that hits like a truck and you cant dodge it or I frame it then simply bring a shield for that. I'm sure you'll have more than enough dps to kill it. Also yes hu tao can be healed but then again it comes at the cost of losing dmg, Arlecchino downside is she can't be healed at all but you'll have plenty stamina since you dint need your changed attacks. Other chars have IR problems too, alhaitham for example and he's still one of the best dps, one other thing to note is that hu tao is single target while Arlecchino has aoe with a big range too, they're similar but also different in their own way

I originally planned to pull for Father but finding out her kit being similar to Alhaitham's which needs micro management to bring out huge damage. I prefer more freedom in rotation being too lazy to practice rotation that I didn't get Childe, Alhaitham, and the Wriothesley too much work especially with the day time high ping fluctuations I have nah. I play at 2 am just to 3 star floor 12 abyss.

neuvillette is basically easy to play with high damage while arlecchino is hard to play with high damage
i will go for Arlecchino for sure, i want to give her alot of shild (with Xinyan and Noele) and let her go to town and probably buff her with YunJin.
i like to use every char only in 1 team and use every char so i will keep some other 4 stars for some other teams for now. i would go for Neuvillette if i already had Furina but i dont have her yet.

10:15 he heals half his health per 3 orbs... Neuv is just much easier to use thanks to his hp scaling and self heals, although he has a bit more restrictions for team comps. She wouldn't be on his same level unless she has much higher damage.

neuvi is best investment by a mile, i cant see any dps in the future can beat him at least for now
Out of those you mentioned? the only decent one might be lisa because she can hyperbloom.
Sure you can do DPS Yangei and Maybe sub-dps Kaeya, but they take a while to get going.
Try and get Neuvilette and a hyperbloom team going and look at some guides, it's going to take a while before you can do Floor 12 but hopefully you'll be able to do floor 11 for the primos soon.

As a newb who is spoiled by Neuvi, Is there no one else who as simple with a lot of damage as Neuvi (pref with good sustain+toughness)? I don't like the restrictions of melee, chasing stuff around and having trouble with fliers, so pref someone who deals most their dmg at range. Does Navia have such range? More I think about how OP Neuvi is, not needing grouping with Kazuha or whatever, the more I doubt there will ever be a comparable character.

My primary goal was getting Kazuha. And I got lucky getting him at 5 or 6 pity. Then I thought why not both 😅 and went for the Dragon!
