Agreed. Martyrs is a very hard film to watch. But if one gets involved with the story, it's not over the top. The gore is a necessity based on the storyline.
I love the whole term fire series to be honest because I like the the writing style of Damien leownie I really hope he doesn't overdo the series though that's one thing that I am hoping for and praying for that he stops when he's ahead 😊
i was at a guy´s place once and saw a shelf full of (pretty mainstream) movies. "aw u into movies" i say and with SUCH confidence and a smile he went "ive seen aaall the movies" at one point he looked at a letterboxd list of my physical collection. kinda nervous he goes "wow... i... dont know most of em". as he kept scrolling u could see in his eyes that he was getting more and more put off just by the covers and in turn me as well xd srry but anytime someone goes "ive seen everything" i have to think of that hillarious expression
I just stumbled across your channel, so I don't know your other lists, but from the words number one, all I could think was Martyrs. And yes, I agree, it's a serious movie. For all the blood - curdling horror, the film is hardly schlock. The story is a piece of (terrifying) art. As much as I embellished all that, it didn't scare me as much as it intrigued me. I'm an older guy, and used to stay up, alone at night, watching horror movies when my age was in the single digits. That may not describe you, in which case it applies.
Eden Lake is one of my favourite horror films and the escalation in it is 100% believable, which makes it all the more horrifying. It’s also pretty original in the way it portrays middle class fears of working class people, just how damn cruel and damaged some kids can be and how easily a bunch of others can be led along. Absolutely a horror masterclass and nasty as hell

I know Marcus Koch; the guy who made 100 Tears. He tried crowdfunding a sequel but it didn't get there. He's currently cleanup Ryan Nicholson's Gutterballs 2 for a physical release. Ryan finished shooting before his passing in 2019. Hoping Gutterballs 2 is coming soon

The Hills Have Eyes, Sinister and the 2003 Texas Chainsaw Massacre are the only horror movies that I saw in the theater that actually scared me. That whole "daddy" sequence, is one of the most brutal 10 mins in a movie ever!!! Eden Lake and The Den(2013) are the two movies I always recommend to horror fans who want underrated recommendations!

I personally don't really enjoy watching these sorts of movies, but I find them incredibly interesting nonetheless. That said, I'd love it if you would do individual spoiler videos on these movies talking about and describing the brutal stuff that happens in them so it could satisfy my morbid curiosity without me having to actually mentally scar myself by watching them myself lol
This was a fun list- I haven't seen 100 tears or Terrifier 2 . I thought it was on Tubi but it seems to have been removed from that platform when Terrifier 3 came to the theatre. I haven't seen that one yet either, but I did like the first Terrifier Movie. I didn't care much for the All Hallows Eve and the introductory shorts with Art the Clown that brought his character into being. Thank you for your upload I appreciate the work you put into it.
Correct about T2 being taken off of Tubi right before T3. I happened to be pushing my gal pals to watch Terrifier 2 before it got taken down (and before the T3 came out), so I was on alert! LOL

I thought I wanted hardcore and gore, so I watched “Her name was torment”. That one messed me up for a bit, don’t think I could ever watch it again, nor would I need too. Those images will not leave my head.
The Hills Have Eye's! I will definitely agree with you on It is one i can rewatch! Martyrs! Is 100% Brutal! Terrifier 2! Is by far one of the grossest movies ive ever seen. Im sure you've seen this but one film i think is brutal and its not a rip off. This is gore!!!and worth a rewatching! Cannibal Farm! I thought another one that was great was no relation to the one above! The Farm.
I just recently watched Eden Lake. I was super bummed out afterward. I have seen things like Martyrs, The Sadness, When Evil Lurks and this had such a more intense effect. It was good, but I doubt I'll watch it again.

Eden Lake's ending could have been far less soul destroying except for Kelly Reilly's performance throughout the entire piece was so REAL.... She made that movie so much more horrific. Stalker movies to me can get a little boring so i didn't watch it for so long but i kept hearing about it on the tubes, and my husband tasks me with coming up with our watchlists, so we watched it recently and holy shit
The first Terrifier was by far the best I love the 2nd waiting in the third to stream but the first one just juts you out of nowhere it was refreshingly fun and reinvigorated slashers to me….the original Martyrs is in my top 5 most disturbing films for sure
Completely agree, no matter what else is going on in a horror/slasher its always the SA that i struggle with, Hills have eyes has a couple of scenes that stick in my head as disturbing.

Just finished watching 100 Tears. Thankx for the reccomendation. This was the only one on yoor list that flew under my radar. Loved it. Love the kills. Loved the gore. It did have a bit of a story. In fact if you change up the last car scene with Jen this could be an alternate backstory to Harley Quinn. She rocked that sledghammer.
I watched Martyrs with my girlfriend about 15 years ago, not at all knowing to what expect. Anyway, at the end she said to me in a kind of sarcastic way: "Thanks for the nice evening.". 🤓 PS: 0:44 Didn't respond for expecting many others would. 😉 However, after seeing Bad Taste shortly after it's release in 1988 (and after that Meet The Feebles), I absolutely was looking forward to seeing Braindead/Dead Alive and expecting it to be a total bloodfest. And it was. But even exceeded my expectations. 😎👍 (After Braindead I knew Peter Jackson was going to be famous in the future.)

I always liked XTRO...thought that was an interesting concept,...(director cut mainly.)seen XTRO 2,not as good as number 1 but it had its moments...(the toy tank that became a real tank and the S.A.S soldier doll that became a real soldier.Always thought that was a great special effect.

Fair warning, SA plays a pretty big part in it. It’s not a pointless plot device to the story though, so it’s sort of necessary for the movie. Pretty sure I remember reading somewhere that it was based on a real story, so that made it even more difficult to watch for me.

Terrifier 2 was 100% better than T1 in terms of character, plot, world building, etc. Definitely recommend.
Love 100 Tears, rememember watching it at a local horror con when it premiered, it was filmed in my hometown too.

Ive seen them all and was quite bored and thought they were just like your average horror movies, enjoyed terrifier 2 alot though.. try watching tumbling doll of flesh, i guarentee youll have to either look away or pause it every so often to try and mentally recover

To get the best sound you should have it on the cardioid polar patter (looks like a heart) and then talk into the side of the grill where the Blue logo is. Happy recording.

Fair warning, SA plays a pretty big part in it. It’s not a pointless plot device to the story though, so it’s sort of necessary for the movie. Pretty sure I remember reading somewhere that it was based on a real story, so that made it even more difficult to watch for me.
