SPOILER ALERT: Do not watch this video if you have not seen the horror masterpiece "Society", as it spoils the ending. And watching "Society" first time without knowing the ending is one of cinema's greatest pleasures.
Mel Brooks was an uncredited producer of "The Fly." I've long considered it one of the great tragic love stories of the modern era, a direct descendant of Beauty and the Beast, Hunchback of Notre Dame, down the line. A classic.
Body horror has a special place in my horror heart. I LOVE special fx makeup, to see how people can completely transform using makeup is fascinating!!!
Great selection !! Live your channel !! You are a terrific reviewer !! Two of my favs -- the Fly (remake ) and The Thing ( remake ). Plus -- The Substance !! Plus - ReAmimator ( Brian Yuzna) !! Titane --just super weird !! Love Barbara Crampton !! Never heard of Body Melt !!
Just become a subscriber solely because I've never heard of Body Melt!!!! and I thought I knew my stuff. A good list, particularly Titane and Society. Top tip - seek out the uncut versions of Re-animator before you watch it). My suggestions for quality body horror films - Braindead (1992), From Beyond (1986, uncut version) and the Tetsuo trilogy. if you want a left field suggestion, based upon horror induced by a disfigured body, look no further than The Elephant Man (1990). The latter is best considered as tragedy as it's truly heart wrenching. Thanks for the list. I shall now look at your previous recommendations.
Wow dude love this video topic I’ve seen all of these movies except for society even though I’ve heard about that one but thanks for the recommendation can’t wait to check that one out but also you totally forgot Basket case, The Thing Slither The Void Hellraiser Street Trash From Beyond But great list by the way👏👏
Great list I'm surprised you included Re- Animator I love the movie to death but never considered it body horror From Beyond is more of a body horror movie Rabid and Shivers are two good ones that David Cronenberg did Videodrome is good also I'm also surprised The Thing didn't make the list Society is awesome and I can't wait to see The Substance Body Melt I saw on Tubi so now I will have to find time to watch it Keep up the good work I have been really enjoying your channel
My addition to this list would have to be Tokyo Gore Police. It's weird, absurd, and gory, but also soooo much fun! I don't think I would ever call it scary, because it is such a bonkers movie that you find yourself laughing way more than anything else. However, the crazy, bloody, and wacky mutations are dialed up to 11, so I think it definitely deserves a spot on any body horror list. Don't go in expecting a masterpiece, but I would still highly recommend giving it a watch if you haven't seen it.
I'm sorry. I couldn't watch "The Horrors That Would Make You Sick" episode in case it had eye gouging scenes in it. I have a MASSIVE and very negative reaction to things like that. Think...The Exorcist pea soup scene...that's me. Lol. Also have a massive vomiting phobia so no, just no. I gave it a wee like anyway to get your algorithm going. Love your content. Keep going! :)
I started the society tonight looking forward to watching the rest of it when I get up in the morning it's not very often that I find movies for free that I see that you guys recommend so I'm really looking forward to watching society end body melt when I'm done with society lol😊
I don't know why, but I kept thinking of Species through this whole video. I feel like no one ever talks about it, but I don't know if it's just underrated or if I'm the only one that likes it....
I've seen all of these recs except for Body Melt. I will check it out. DEFINITELY looking forward to The Substance!! I've recently seen a couple newer body horror movies that I really liked, as well. Check out... 1) MEN 2) Appendage.

“Society” is so great.

I thought Re-Animator was brilliant but I also think it's a modern Frankenstein movie ! I can't believe you didn't mention From Beyond !
From Beyond kicks ass!

God. There’s ONE scene in Titane that makes me have to look away, and I’m pretty stoic with disturbing movies.
The nose scene.
If you know, you know.
The fly is one of my favorite movies
Its interesting that some thought it was an analogy for disease… but its actually about becoming older.
"Society" and "Body Melt" were wild. Yes!! Re-Animator is classic. Jeffrey Combs performance was steller!!! I love Jeffery Combs. Great list.

@@Metrikon9000 is that the crazy movie with the alligator girl ?!
Yup!
I love TGP! It’s like Troma on berserker mode!
Love Demi🖤 I’m 45 years fun so it’s amazing to see her in this role🔥even my wife liked it a lot and she’s not into horror
If you’re going to check out Body Melt, please please PLEASE make sure you watch the directors cut of it. The cut version isn’t a patch on it!
STARRY EYES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I promise this is not hater feedback, nobody wants 2.5 min intros brother, keep the content comin!
The fly did make me have trouble eating fir a few days ( seriously)
Game of Death. So much blood everywhere.
How the hell is Tetsuo 1989 not in that list? It should be at the top of it.

...15.4k subs, over 16 hundred views but only 134 likes? C'mon people, likes are free and it's a good way to show your support to a channel you enjoy.
Grotesque is one I don't think I've heard you mention
Love me some basket case
Green Inferno reference 🤣🙏
Enjoyed this. Does that make me weird? Hope so.
I loved the Substance as well. I hope Demi atleast a nod at Awards!
I hope so 🙏 but the academy always overlooks horror
@ yeah , they do. But they could give a nod I hope to Demi. Maybe? She is on a lot of the UA-cam critics list for the Oscar.
Any votes for Possessor ? Bad ass movie imo.
Curse 2 : the bite
on it. thank you.
CABIN FEVER
SCANNERS
I loved Raw, is Titane better? I could not do Reanimator. Too far for me. I felt violated.
Love them all
BODY MELT LET’S GOOOOOOO
Didn't have to wait long for that one ☺️

Can we get a top 5 or so j-splatter flix?
I have been meaning to dive into more J-horror in general
What no Flubber?
Wouldn't have been fair to invlude that Body Horror Masterpiece. Everything else would have paled in comparison
