As my main is a tanky solo StamDK (Cleave shield + Masters 2H, Mealstrom Bow, Hundings & Briar), my companion will be a healer so I can use my resources to do dmg. I can already do all overland content, a lot normal dungeons, most base veteran dungeons (I’ve not tested all dungeons) & nDSA solo. I can also do vMA and vFH with my build but I’ve been told companions can’t come along in MA and FH. I usually start to have trouble when I start to use Vigor to heal, that’s when my resource management starts to suck. Guess with a healer companion it’ll all become more easy, for the first time in some time I’m really looking forward to something coming to eso.
I was thinking the same, but on the other hand .. you'll have to level her, level her skilltrees, farm the gear, etc.pp. Not sure if it's really going to be that much "easier" or faster. We'll see.
@@kev_whatev But you can run a monster set, 5 body pieces in a set, the pale order set, and 2 full sets of trial weapons, and then you have 2 spots open on ring and neck so get a 3 piece jewelry set such as Vengeance Leach which you can wear the 2 pieces for but in a group you switch out the pale order ring for 3rd piece of vengeance Leach and it also heals you a ton for every add you kill. That is 4 full sets always active and 6 full sets in total running on one build.
Been testing this on the PTS and it works great. First truly value added thing that I've done with companions. I've run several different world bosses and dungeons and she is healing me through everything other than when I just do something dumb. She stands back out of the way and does great. She hasn't died yet.
It's his job to make companions look good. Go on the pts and see how they do outside of a few cherry picked bosses and with the great drops you find for them.

The gear takes player inventory spaces and is non-craftable so if you are gearing up two you will hold lots of gear for them. Not to mention what it takes to level them in the first place. Hack could highlight those issues so ZOS will fix them before release, but he won't. Instead he is releasing videos of companions purple out in the best traits for them, fully leveled. In boss fights that hide the problems they have concerning drawing agro of adds and having to babysit them if there are random aoes. Knowing full well the experience he is showing is not going to be the experience that is currently in test.
@@mikewilliams9069 I'm not max level and certainly not a face melting 1 shotter. The point I'm trying to get you to understand, they won't really be help for you, unless you are. Their light attacks act like a tanks taunt. As a healer they stand in red and of course love to light attack. You will have to slot shields and heals for your healer. Or just do content with no adds or random cast aoes. Because if either of those conditions exist, they are a liability. Meanwhile their gear is a worldwide semi rare random drop, but will drop only while they are active. So don't expect a correctly traited purple gear wearing companion for a long time, unless you have a lot of gold.
I feel like running the companion healer would be best for tanks. DPS toons would probably pair better with the ring. Though, it really just depends on a person's damage output.
a tank will be able to taunt the enemies and (my tank at least) also has good enough healing for the companion to not die easily, so companion could have more damage focussed build... healer would be able to just outheal the damage the companion takes. thats why imo dd would be better suited for these roles because then the companion will solve their problem of having maybe too little dps to enjoy quests or soloing worldbosses for example. a dd companion is probably gonna die very often if u dont have a taunt or dont have a lot of healing abilities to heal the companion so for a dd a dd companion would not work well i think. companions as tank probably need external healing to not die to worldbosses (depending on which boss exactly, probably) so would feel too unreliable. but a companion healer build for survivability (aka on the nightblade slotting the invisibility as first ability so it always gets used when under 50% health) will basically always be there for u and as we see here is easily able to keep u alive
I think it is more likely there will be future companions that are WW or Vamp as their base class. It would be a bummer from a build perspective, but it would allow them build better dialog options & player interactions.
i would instead go for heal and dd... against worldbosses, a companion healer is a lot more likely to be able to stay alive than a companion tank, unless u use healing abilities just for keeping the companion alive. same is true for dd if it gets aggro, but on a healer or tank that is not a problem. for which one to use as dd and which as healer im not sure yet either... the dunmer has the invisibility to make it a lot more likely she stays alive during harder fights (at least when slotted as like the first ability, i think thats how it is best used but idk) but the imperial has that unique damage buff

It's interesting to test this stuff but I think the best option looks like RotPO for heals and a DPS companion to down faster. One advantage the ring has as healer is that it can't be killed. If you are dependent on companion for healing then it's risky as they're not that smart and die more easily than the player. If you have a dps companion and they die then it just takes a bit longer to kill the boss. I'd be interested to see if companions can get you around mechanics that are intended to make stuff 'un-soloable'. Off the top of my head, what happens with the final boss fight in the pirate haven? Does the companion have 50% chance to get 'skeletoned', can healer companion keep you alive during that phase etc? Stuff like that would be pretty cool to find out.
disadvantage to the ring is that it blocks a set effect however, so consider that as well plus having a companion doesnt mean they will definitely be downed
I have a fantastic subject for a video request: show us what each of the buff icons mean and more importantly WHAT skill are they from?? Through trial and error I know the basic ones but have no idea what a majority of them mean. You could also include debuffs on the enemies as well. It took me two years to understand how to create a DPS that is consistently hitting in the 30k range. But I still struggle on those darn buff/debuff icons. THanks Hack, I love your videos. I especially love that you do NOT rely on hitting dummies for your stats (I think they do not give genuine feedback of REAL fights) and you use actual fights for your data. I have learned much from your content!!!!
Great coverage TY. As an often solo-player, this is the use case I am most interested in for the companion system. This is great insight. I am debating between running a companion as ranged DPS or as a healer, and will likely be debating until I try both in game. But, I was leaning healer before. This just makes me want to set her up for healing even more.
imo this is what seems best (for me at least): healer companion when playing dd (because healer keeps itself alive, keeps my dd alive) dd companion when playing tank/heal (because tank/heal help the companion not die, and companion would help with damage so that i dont need to change my tanks build just to make questing possible)
Relationship (raport) and quests with companions is per character. Leveling and gear equipped is account wide. If you have spare gear for a companion, it goes into your personal inventory so that would be character based, you would need to put it in your bank for other characters to access the alt gear.
Are the combat stats capturing heals that the companion is having to cast on herself? If so, it would explain the 100k skew that pushed the healing to over 300k. She was getting slammed pretty hard on that last go round and would have had to heal herself much more aggressively than the initial run. Just a thought.
@@warriorninja9428 After a quick search online opinions seem to differ on this. Some say if companions are considered as pets it should work. Others say they should be considered as a person and it shouldn't work. I guess the jury is still out on this.
Wife and I like to take on as much content as possible. I assume the companion heals would overlap as well if we both have healer companions and we go all in as dps?
btw hack do u know if companions are allies? if jes the healer companion cannot heal u because of blood for blood tooltip right? if it works its awesome if not the frenzy buff should be powerful enough^^
Nice video..Couple of things to think about: without Pale Order you have to slot a group heal and are more limited in movement (must keep companion safe). Although without PO you can slot last ring to complete set. I think I will still use PO but I would like the companion if I can. I console play so cant play on PTS. Cant wait for June to find out!!
I think I'll run something like this when I'm doing solo WB, IF I need it, but all my characters can currently solo most WB in the game (outside some that have mechanics that kill you). So I'll likely run a hybrid heal/dps to make my life easier and to take the boss down faster. It's clear to me, that ranged is going to be the way to go for these kinds of activities because companions don't stay out of red...
Not that I would want to, but I'm still curious how they coded the mechanics. Can the healer heal you if you are wearing the ring? Basically, is the companion coded as another player, or as a pet?
I'm just wondering if Mirri does damage while healing as well? If she does then wouldn't she have shortened the duration of the battle and not had as much time to heal? So maybe she does better than the ring.
Could you do the same fights to compare the different companions? Would be interesting to see how the tank fair's on this fight. As it looks, seems to be a better option to bring the healer instead of a tank if playing dps
i did some testing on pts, this is the conclusion i came to: (i didnt put in a lot of effort to try minmaxing the companions, a bit to make up for me not planning on worrieng about getting perfect traits/quality of the gear) -Tank companion: dies to worldbosses unless u specifically pay attention to keeping it alive: would work only on healer or tank, both of which have no use for a tank companion -Healer companion: can keep itself alive when fighting worldbosses, can keep me alive if the worldboss attacks me even if i dont press any buttons. very useful for dd, could work for healer or tank but they have no need for it -DD companion: idk how much damage they do but i know they will die unless u keep them alive by either giving them a bunch of healing or making sure u get attacked instead of the companion being attacked... which means either turning ur dd in a bit of a dd/heal or dd/tank hybrid if wanting to use it on a dd (ring of the pale order + a taunt would probably already work for worldbosses, a single survivability ability on the companion would probably work for keeping themselves alive in fighting random enemies where u wont be taunting em all cuz of it being basic enemies). so DD companion is most fitting for a tank or healer. both in that those are the roles where the companion doesnt die, as well as those being the roles that lack the dps u might feel like u need (for example questing or killing worldbosses faster without having to make big changes to ur build etc)
1. Ring can heal significantly more with a more optimised build. If you were going to run a second companion run...might as well have compared it to a more optimised Ring run. 2. Mirri needs to stay alive. Is reliant on both being able to pull enemies away from her/staying safe as well as a group heal skill on your end. I see absolutely no upside in using a companion healer over Ring.
Best way is to use Pale Order Ring, and choose the TANK Companion, so you can easely heal AoEs and Basti tanks the big ones, so u get backstab bonus all the time. just slot one AoE heal for Basti as backup if his cooldowns are in touble.
I was wondering can you run both Mirri and the Pale order ring at the same time? Also, if you have Mirri out does that reduce healing by the 4%? In other words, does it count her as an ally you are grouped with?
I may have missed it in the comments but using the addon to view the healing, is that only showing the numbers it healed you or does it include the companion healing herself as well? Sorry have not used the parsing addon
I am curious as to why putting heavy on w/ quickened traits wouldn't be better for a healer? Does armor weight effect companions somehow beside giving more/less defensive stats?
Wonder what the raw healing is for the companion. HPS is a bad way to messure somtimes when you have your own heals. Cause what CMX shows you is what it actually healed for. But lets say you lost 2k health and your briarheart and ritual healed most of it if it ticks at the right time, that would show up in logs as your own heals, cause that is the actual healing done. Raw healing would show also the overheal, but actually check what the max capability they have.
This looks so sick! Is there any limit to what content companions can enter? I have a small friends/family guild and it would be dope to run trials with 6 PCs and 6 NPCs
As of the last livestream they did, Zos said that the only current restrictions are that they cannot be brought into pvp or any solo arenas but that anything was fair game. Idk if that will change by launch but that’s the last I heard
Been running Companion healer since the Tank one kinda dies a lot; swapped a few items out for a bit more health and so far world bosses are largely "soloable" so long as you have a taunt ability slotted. I don't even have good gear really either, all purples.
I'm surprise you didn't slot the Haste skill (Companion focuses their magical energies inward, resetting the cooldown of all their other abilities) from the light armor skill line. I've been using it on all my companion light armor builds on the PTS and a seem to be quite good with the gear cooldown trait.
Doing some testing on PTS with Bastion and it seems you can use both the Pale Order ring and a healer compion and become pretty much invincible? Probably won't see live, but apparently a companion is considered self-healing at the moment.
basegame worldbosses i tried, companion healer kept me alive even if i just stand there doing nothing. id guess a single self heal would be enough to get to that invincible feeling, which id assume most builds would be able to fit in without sacrificing much (so instead of using the ring u could just use a class healing ability or vigor if stam)
Wood elves are viable for stamden, especially if you use a bow. They may not be top tier (Bosmer aren't top tier as far as I know, or at least they haven't been) but you'll be good for most content.
healer companion is the best companion: she can outheal almost any world boss in the game while my magden can stand still without blocking or doing any mechanics(of course if it doesn't oneshot you right away)
i use healer coz i prefer to slot oakensoul and healer and so far nothing in the game outside dungeons can come even close to killing or even hurting me really lol
I finally got ring of the pale order, and I want to double check something. While wearing it my companion seems to be able to heal me. I am mistaken in this?
Hi, I'm playing a MagSorc DarkElf 916CP 64Magicka and I'm having issues finding a good armour to get me out of normal dungeons. I'm thinking Mothers Sorrow but blank on anything else armour, jewelry and staff wise, I'm also a single bar player due to disability.
Unless they improve the drop rate for companion gear almost no one will run this build, won't be able to get all the gear needed in a reasonable amount of time, it is nice to see what's possible at the higher end of things. I'm going to run the companions because at some point ZOS will make it a system worth running and I prefer to get all the leveling out of the way. From my testing on PTS the Pale Order Ring is still the best in slot compared to a companion healer.
@@burstlight7 I've spent 30-40 hours on PTS testing out only the companions, it would appear that your rng is far better than mine. I keep my companion out at all times, I've tried several methods to get gear, based on my rng, my drop rates are not good.

So.... i have a question: is the companions' progress in guild skill lines tied to our own? As in, if im already mages guild lvl 10, are they automatically maxed in it as well?
Had thought about using both, but If you are wearing the pale order ring then theoretically your companion would not be able to heal you, correct? So you probably can’t use both together. I’m thinking I would wear the ring and use her as dps or tank depending on the content.

the problem with this is you're comparing your pale order ring on JUST YOU vs Mirri's heal on both you AND her. from what i'm seeing based on this video, pale order is wildly better than the companion which is backwards from what i think you're trying to say here.
It does look like the companion healing is good--especially for non-DPS builds. However, this video doesn't depict a good comparison of the ring vs. the companion healer. The ring is dependent on your DPS--what was it? For the companion, how much of the healing was on you vs. her?
It’s almost always the same in any mmo that allows companions; the best utilisation for them ends up being healbots. I guess at leat the RotPO has some competition now.
Make sure you're wearing all Medium (Assuming you're Stamina. Wear all Light if you're Magicka) to reduce the cost of your abilities. And use food! If you're Stamina, use Dubious Camoran Throne Drink or Lava Foot Soup. If you're magicka, use Witchmother's Brew or Ghastly Eye Bowl.
I won't be running companions full stop. I don't like the idea and think they done belong in an mmo. The point being, hack you've proven how strong a companion healer is. Imagine this, every player in a four man dungeon running an optimised personal healer, plus the actual healers, the intended difficulty of vet content is going to decrease massively; these companions have the potential to hard carry players whilst permitting players to ignore skilful play. The ring of pale order is different, as there's a clear sacrafice to using it in group play Imo, the companions should ONLY be available in overland questing/world boss stuff, as the value of a real healer or tank will be reduced in content intended for groups; where every member has a pre defined role that is indispensable, or should I say was indispensable

Not much faster because they will be dead within 5 seconds unless you have a heal over time for them, like ritual or echoing vigor.

7k hours on dps here. I'm really excited to drop ring for a companion so I can experiment with a min/max mixed set

I don't think that would work.. RotPO prevents healing from others and I think that includes your companion?

What happens if you do a world boss and others come and all have their own healer with them? Will their spells also heal you? If you are not in party?

I have been running bastion as a companion healer for awhile now its fun.
You took longer to kill the second time therefore healer healed you over a longer period. Therefore having a higher number of heals.

Are the combat stats capturing heals that the companion is having to cast on herself? If so, it would explain the 100k skew that pushed the healing to over 300k. She was getting slammed pretty hard on that last go round and would have had to heal herself much more aggressively than the initial run. Just a thought.
I was thinking it was just healing done on my character alone but I could be wrong.

@@warriorninja9428 After a quick search online opinions seem to differ on this. Some say if companions are considered as pets it should work. Others say they should be considered as a person and it shouldn't work. I guess the jury is still out on this.
Wife and I like to take on as much content as possible. I assume the companion heals would overlap as well if we both have healer companions and we go all in as dps?
Good question. My hubs and I also team play. We were thinking tank and healer for the companions. But two healers might work better.

use blood for blood spämmable and blood frenzy spell/wpn damage buff with pale order ring and the healer companion...boooom^^
btw hack do u know if companions are allies? if jes the healer companion cannot heal u because of blood for blood tooltip right? if it works its awesome if not the frenzy buff should be powerful enough^^
Nice video..Couple of things to think about: without Pale Order you have to slot a group heal and are more limited in movement (must keep companion safe). Although without PO you can slot last ring to complete set. I think I will still use PO but I would like the companion if I can. I console play so cant play on PTS. Cant wait for June to find out!!

I think I'll run something like this when I'm doing solo WB, IF I need it, but all my characters can currently solo most WB in the game (outside some that have mechanics that kill you). So I'll likely run a hybrid heal/dps to make my life easier and to take the boss down faster. It's clear to me, that ranged is going to be the way to go for these kinds of activities because companions don't stay out of red...

yes, but they take up a group slot. so if u r in a dungeon with 3 ppl, only one can have a companion out because after that the group is full
Not that I would want to, but I'm still curious how they coded the mechanics. Can the healer heal you if you are wearing the ring? Basically, is the companion coded as another player, or as a pet?
from what ive read so far, currently they can heal u if u have the ring equipped. but this might get changed later because it could be unintended

I'm just wondering if Mirri does damage while healing as well? If she does then wouldn't she have shortened the duration of the battle and not had as much time to heal? So maybe she does better than the ring.
It is very clear the more times you pull the boss close to her the more she gets pissed off, the more she heals. Yay, it's a win-win-win!!!
On the second fight the companion took a lot more damage than the first one you did with her. That could explain the increase in total healing done.

Could you do the same fights to compare the different companions? Would be interesting to see how the tank fair's on this fight. As it looks, seems to be a better option to bring the healer instead of a tank if playing dps

i did some testing on pts, this is the conclusion i came to:
(i didnt put in a lot of effort to try minmaxing the companions, a bit to make up for me not planning on worrieng about getting perfect traits/quality of the gear)
-Tank companion: dies to worldbosses unless u specifically pay attention to keeping it alive: would work only on healer or tank, both of which have no use for a tank companion
-Healer companion: can keep itself alive when fighting worldbosses, can keep me alive if the worldboss attacks me even if i dont press any buttons. very useful for dd, could work for healer or tank but they have no need for it
-DD companion: idk how much damage they do but i know they will die unless u keep them alive by either giving them a bunch of healing or making sure u get attacked instead of the companion being attacked... which means either turning ur dd in a bit of a dd/heal or dd/tank hybrid if wanting to use it on a dd (ring of the pale order + a taunt would probably already work for worldbosses, a single survivability ability on the companion would probably work for keeping themselves alive in fighting random enemies where u wont be taunting em all cuz of it being basic enemies).
so DD companion is most fitting for a tank or healer. both in that those are the roles where the companion doesnt die, as well as those being the roles that lack the dps u might feel like u need (for example questing or killing worldbosses faster without having to make big changes to ur build etc)
1. Ring can heal significantly more with a more optimised build. If you were going to run a second companion run...might as well have compared it to a more optimised Ring run.
2. Mirri needs to stay alive. Is reliant on both being able to pull enemies away from her/staying safe as well as a group heal skill on your end.
I see absolutely no upside in using a companion healer over Ring.

I do have a couple questions; how well did it work with the white vendor companion gear? Can you change the companion's hairstyle?
Best way is to use Pale Order Ring, and choose the TANK Companion, so you can easely heal AoEs and Basti tanks the big ones, so u get backstab bonus all the time. just slot one AoE heal for Basti as backup if his cooldowns are in touble.
I was wondering can you run both Mirri and the Pale order ring at the same time? Also, if you have Mirri out does that reduce healing by the 4%? In other words, does it count her as an ally you are grouped with?
I may have missed it in the comments but using the addon to view the healing, is that only showing the numbers it healed you or does it include the companion healing herself as well? Sorry have not used the parsing addon

I am curious as to why putting heavy on w/ quickened traits wouldn't be better for a healer? Does armor weight effect companions somehow beside giving more/less defensive stats?
Companion armor has passive bonuses. Light armor increases their healing done.

Wonder what the raw healing is for the companion. HPS is a bad way to messure somtimes when you have your own heals. Cause what CMX shows you is what it actually healed for.
But lets say you lost 2k health and your briarheart and ritual healed most of it if it ticks at the right time, that would show up in logs as your own heals, cause that is the actual healing done.
Raw healing would show also the overheal, but actually check what the max capability they have.
This looks so sick! Is there any limit to what content companions can enter? I have a small friends/family guild and it would be dope to run trials with 6 PCs and 6 NPCs
As of the last livestream they did, Zos said that the only current restrictions are that they cannot be brought into pvp or any solo arenas but that anything was fair game. Idk if that will change by launch but that’s the last I heard
You can have companions everywhere except for PvP zones and solo arenas. So yes you can take 6 companions to trials

Been running Companion healer since the Tank one kinda dies a lot; swapped a few items out for a bit more health and so far world bosses are largely "soloable" so long as you have a taunt ability slotted. I don't even have good gear really either, all purples.
I'm surprise you didn't slot the Haste skill (Companion focuses their magical energies inward, resetting the cooldown of all their other abilities) from the light armor skill line. I've been using it on all my companion light armor builds on the PTS and a seem to be quite good with the gear cooldown trait.
id guess it is because the most important healing is from the heal over time abilities, which already have great uptime with this gear
Doing some testing on PTS with Bastion and it seems you can use both the Pale Order ring and a healer compion and become pretty much invincible? Probably won't see live, but apparently a companion is considered self-healing at the moment.
basegame worldbosses i tried, companion healer kept me alive even if i just stand there doing nothing. id guess a single self heal would be enough to get to that invincible feeling, which id assume most builds would be able to fit in without sacrificing much (so instead of using the ring u could just use a class healing ability or vigor if stam)
if u could test on another class not templar would be good test how to handle boss without self heal

Wood elves are viable for stamden, especially if you use a bow. They may not be top tier (Bosmer aren't top tier as far as I know, or at least they haven't been) but you'll be good for most content.
healer companion is the best companion: she can outheal almost any world boss in the game while my magden can stand still without blocking or doing any mechanics(of course if it doesn't oneshot you right away)
I was personally wanting to use tanking but seems like they drop block all the time. Hopefully they fix it but knowing ZOS I doubt it.

i use healer coz i prefer to slot oakensoul and healer and so far nothing in the game outside dungeons can come even close to killing or even hurting me really lol

You can’t, pale order is the only thing that can heal you, so your companion can’t heal you :)

Hi, I'm playing a MagSorc DarkElf 916CP 64Magicka and I'm having issues finding a good armour to get me out of normal dungeons. I'm thinking Mothers Sorrow but blank on anything else armour, jewelry and staff wise, I'm also a single bar player due to disability.
I would go with Mother's Sorrow and Juliannos or New Moon Acolyte - all are pretty common on guild traders.
Unless they improve the drop rate for companion gear almost no one will run this build, won't be able to get all the gear needed in a reasonable amount of time, it is nice to see what's possible at the higher end of things. I'm going to run the companions because at some point ZOS will make it a system worth running and I prefer to get all the leveling out of the way. From my testing on PTS the Pale Order Ring is still the best in slot compared to a companion healer.
the gear drops are fine you just need a companion to out with you plus gear is account wide
@@burstlight7 I've spent 30-40 hours on PTS testing out only the companions, it would appear that your rng is far better than mine. I keep my companion out at all times, I've tried several methods to get gear, based on my rng, my drop rates are not good.

So.... i have a question: is the companions' progress in guild skill lines tied to our own? As in, if im already mages guild lvl 10, are they automatically maxed in it as well?
I dont think so. I believe they start leveling the moment you take a companion on a guild quest.

Had thought about using both, but If you are wearing the pale order ring then theoretically your companion would not be able to heal you, correct? So you probably can’t use both together. I’m thinking I would wear the ring and use her as dps or tank depending on the content.
You can use both together actually, but that’s probably way more healing than you would need

the problem with this is you're comparing your pale order ring on JUST YOU vs Mirri's heal on both you AND her.
from what i'm seeing based on this video, pale order is wildly better than the companion which is backwards from what i think you're trying to say here.

It does look like the companion healing is good--especially for non-DPS builds. However, this video doesn't depict a good comparison of the ring vs. the companion healer. The ring is dependent on your DPS--what was it? For the companion, how much of the healing was on you vs. her?

It’s almost always the same in any mmo that allows companions; the best utilisation for them ends up being healbots. I guess at leat the RotPO has some competition now.

Make sure you're wearing all Medium (Assuming you're Stamina. Wear all Light if you're Magicka) to reduce the cost of your abilities. And use food! If you're Stamina, use Dubious Camoran Throne Drink or Lava Foot Soup. If you're magicka, use Witchmother's Brew or Ghastly Eye Bowl.

I don't like the idea and think they done belong in an mmo. The point being, hack you've proven how strong a companion healer is. Imagine this, every player in a four man dungeon running an optimised personal healer, plus the actual healers, the intended difficulty of vet content is going to decrease massively; these companions have the potential to hard carry players whilst permitting players to ignore skilful play. The ring of pale order is different, as there's a clear sacrafice to using it in group play
Imo, the companions should ONLY be available in overland questing/world boss stuff, as the value of a real healer or tank will be reduced in content intended for groups; where every member has a pre defined role that is indispensable, or should I say was indispensable
So i just had a thought. Are companions going to be placeable house guests?
The second companion quest will unlock a houseguest collectible of the companion, allowing them to be placed and utilized similarly to other houseguest collectibles.
