Man, you gained my absolute respect for being sincere and honest. I’m Turkish and a bike rider in Istanbul. Let me know if you need anything, would be happy to help 🙌🙌
Consider how many people can potentially avoid a crash from learning your lesson about blind spots and gear. I call that a success, despite the bad experience of the crash
Cool man, I respect your integrity. People don't always have to be an opportunist at the expense of others. You may have gotten away with it, but this way you can keep a clear conscience.
True that, however, police would eventually establish his fault as he crossed more than one line, meaning car did not hit him from behind - he hit the car with his rear side. Not the same as being hit from behind. Actually, even changing only one line and this accident happenes, it still would have been his fault as he would have been moving to occupied space, again not the same as being hit from behind even if it was the rear side of his vehicle that was involved in contact.
@@bluewanderer9903 Perhaps. Personally I think keeping one's shame is more important than some money. I've been to countries where foreigners get a pass on everything, and then others where the foreigner is automatically at fault no matter the facts, lol. In ours days, isn't easy find someone who accept the guilt and be honest, about the protection gear, I agree with you. The best health recovery, Pavlin. Stay well!

It is said in Islam that knowledge acquired fills one half. The other other half is admitting that you do not know. This full circle makes a man. By admitting that you are the cause of the accident you have (1) shown you are a knowledgeable person i.e. you have completed the full circle, and (2) shown your humility and honesty knowing that you will have to face financial repercussions even though you had the opportunity to take advantage of the law. Pavlin, you are a great man, leading by example, a characteristic in severe shortage these days. I am happy to be associated with you and my prayers are for you, your wellbeing and your family. A beautifully structured and considered comment Nazar. The world is a better place for people like you and of course Pavlin. Truth will always show the way.
You are such a great great man Pavlin! I'm so glad you're ok and that you are teaching us how to be better drivers and better persons! Thank you so much!
I really admire your humility in taking responsibility for your actions Pavlin, I wish more people would follow your example. You're so right about riding gear, it breaks my heart seeing people riding in shorts, T shirt and without gloves in the summer - only one slip away from life changing injury, even from a relatively low speed spill. Shame about the helmet but on the plus side, an opportunity to buy new gear!
Accidents are part of life. We live and learn. Very honest account. Good gear proved it's worth. This why we dress up even when really uncomfortable. Mend well and ride safe.
A good man always tells the truth. I hope you and the bike will be OK in the long term. Even the best riders and drivers will make a mistake sometimes. We are humans, can get tired, get complacent and mistakes can be made. Well done for telling the truth.
I'm glad you survived this heavy crash, Pavlin Hope this was your last. But since you never know it's good that you and we all learn something from this for the future. Thanks for being honest and not blaming things. Mistakes happen and most of the times we're lucky. All the best, Günter from Nürnberg/Germany
Lessons learned: Wear good protecting gear. Don't make rushed decisions. Don't trust your mirrors. Be honest and fair. I also feel for the good man driving the car.
Love you Pavlin. This feels like sitting with a friend and having a chat. - happy you are well. God bless you and your family - you are humble and honest. My deep admiration. Safe travels. Take care.
Accident Is just another Lesson in a Biker's Life. I have learned after so many accidents. Keep riding safe and make nice videos for us. Love from India🇮🇳
An accident vs many accidents...??? Big difference, one proves learning, the other proves...? Point being, there are "cheaper" ways to learn and I am not talking about money here.
I've caught myself doing the same thing, not being 100% sure, and almost went into the side of a car not checking the blind spot good enough. Love the honesty; we might pull one over on a cop but not God.
I've done it twice myself, with a car. Once when angry about a situation turned in front of a car. And another without checking blindspot moving onto the highway. Luckily no accident, but the other drivers was extremely upset, understandably. We're only human as long as we learn from these things
Been waiting for this. Glad you are OK. Nearly caught a car exactly like that when one of the group stopped on the hard shoulder. In order to minimise the gap between us I swerved across the carriageway and never saw the car coming up the inside lane. I was lucky.
Hallo Pavlin, most import is that you ok. And a man admitting his mistake can only have my respect. And your explanation of the real root cause of the problem is a very important one and my accident (1st) last year was caused by my impatience and poor judgment which I think is similar. And to tell yourself not do do something dangerous or risky and continue to do so is looking for trouble and this is what we all can learn from since I am guilty of that during my daily commute at times. So again we can only wish you good luck, speedy recovery and continue your adventure to share with us Bro.......,take care.
These quick manoeuvres are the cause of many car/motorcycle accidents, that was a real roll of the dice, lucky man Pavlin. I have such a poor sense of direction I will often spot my exit too late, I'll happily ride on to the next one rather than risk last minute decisions. Take care and enjoy the rest of the trip.
I'm glad you're ok Pavlin. Learning about your mistake should be very educational, it is at least for me. If rider with that much experience can have such an accident, it shows how vulnerable we all are. Have a good trip and stay safe!
Very good and thorough explanation Pavlin. We all make mistakes and sometimes make poor decisions. We can try, but sometimes we can't seem to avoid it, we're all human. I'm glad everyone involved is alright. The best lesson to be learned here is always to wear full gear.
honesty is NOT always the best policy. You like to think it is, but sometimes its best to think before you speak & then on occasion be economical with the truth.
Friend… As a man who has changed 11 BMWs in his life, I only can pay my respect to you for accepting your mistake and for the lessons you give to others… Wishing you always in one STANDING piece!!!
I'm leaving on a motorcycle trip tomorrow. This is great reminder to always be careful and double-tripple check before changing directions or lanes. Glad you're okay. This episode demonatrate your honesty and integrity. That's why I love your channel. Stay safe... and get a new helmet. The sooner the better. You might find a very good deal in Istanbul.
I can so much retrace the reasons for this accident. The older I get, the more I have to control myself to avoid mistakes like that (had a comparable crash myself some years ago and I was comparably lucky). We all have this one inattentive second that we can't afford once in a while and we have to be thankful for every time, we don't have to regret it. And YES!!! - always dress for the slide and not just for the ride. That's what I had to learn the hard way, too. Please, Pavril, take care of yourself. I want to enjoy many many more of your videos in the future. Greetings and blessings from Germany.
So glad you are OK. Really good to hear this honest and open analysis. It is the sort of thing from which we can all learn and it will benefit our future riding.
Best recovery Pavlin! The strongest man on earth in so many ways. I will never ride without my Helite Turtle, when I forget it, I stop and go and put it on. From CT, U.S.A.
Deep respect for admitting your error in judgement which contributed to this accident. Relieved that you survived so well, that your gear protected you and the Tenere is able to withstand that level of an impact. Ride on, ride safely!
I dodged something like this last week because I remembered to turn my head and check my blind spot. Of course there was a car I did not see in my mirror. This saved me some skin for sure. Glad to see you are ok and appreciate your honesty. Great lesson shared with the community!
Crashes suck, but can be the best teachers. That's why I watch motorcycle crash compilations: to try to learn from the mistakes of others. Thanks for the breakdown of what happened, and glad to hear you're doing okay!
This is not a long video Pavlin, this is exactly the video that many riders meed to watch and understand how riding with gear can make a difference. Glad for you that you're well. Safe travel Pavlin! 👍
All The Gear, All The Time. Had a crash back in 2009 where my gear saved me from even more serious injury than the torn left knee ligaments I had to surgically reconstruct afterwards. Thanks for your honesty and integrity, Pavlin! Respect.
My friend I'm glad that you are Ok. Yes on the road we have to think more and wear a protective gear. I'm glad that you used yours. Be safe on and off the road.

Admitting the mistake and not abusing the chance to put the blame on the other driver deserves nothing less but admirations and respect! Stay safe and have a great journey ahead!
Very good, it is refreshing to hear about mistakes. I learned from this video. I have been on motorcycles for a long time and sometimes I find myself becoming complacent, turning before I am sure it is clear. Thank you for sharing. I am glad you weren't injured. Stay safe.
This "aftermatch" review of your health condition and your gear - is so instructive. I will show it to everyone who thinks they can drive "just 5 minutes" to a shop/restaurant / whatevr only with a helmet. Some people i know are so sure of their skills they start to think they are unvulnerable. I'm glad you are alright and you will continue your journey :)
It actually makes me feel better if I have an accident that is my fault, because I know that I can make changes to my riding and avoid the same incident again. This is better than the alternative.
