“Got a Vonnegut punch for your Atlas shrug”
This bar is cold af. If you know you know
My all-time favorite somewhat obscure reference
✊🏾
Big brain bars
Lol right. Dead ass I used to leave Rand and Marx as my two coffee table books because it always gave me an idea of my guests opinion or lack there of.
El-P is insane with that bar! So clever
Rage isn’t just any average rock band tho. Give them a try.
Oh I got u trust me
Yea man, go down the Rage rabbit hole homie
Zack got some heavy messages in rage
@@MichelleShow try and use lyric videos if you do Rage Against The Machine reactions
nado graymountain with rtj and rage gotta have the words.
EL-P is a beat making, producing genius.
FACT!
Pharell made the beat
Incorrect... EL P made the beat and the entire production.
@@hivemind1706 El-P put the four beats at the beginning of the song as an homage to Pharrell.
@@hivemind1706 OOOF.
This whole album is groundbreaking. When Lil Wayne interviewed Eminem, they were talking about how good RTJ is. You are listening to what the GOAT's are listening to!
Yea I seen that! 💯
Wayne isn't a GOAT though lol
Wayne is wack
To each their own. I got too much shine to argue opinions
@@rockyhaggard8179 Wayne referring to himself as a goat is insane...Eminem is not a goat either
Zack De La RoCHA (last name pronunciation: "cha- ching" $), has been a progressive activist since the early 90's. What he speaks about is substantial realism. Not some mainstream bullshit all these lil rappers are caught up with. If you dont know Rage, then you don't know angry rock! There is a mighty reason why these brothas NEEDED him to be a part of this amazing album. Zack has collaborated with KRS-ONE and that, to me, is honorable!
Daz it! I'm calling it! Run The Jewels for album of the year 2020!!
trust me ima check out some rage and get hip, and yea off one song ima agree with album of the year!
@@MichelleShow Cant ever go wrong with some Rage! Zack is an underrated gem. RTJ4 whole album is pure creativity. Please listen to the whole album, if you haven't. 'Ooh La La' pays oath to Guru from Gangstar. 'Holy Calamafuk' is freakin guuuud! But their Run The Jeweles 2 album is amazing as well!
@@cinflo2830 sheeet I never know which is my favorite RTJ. Whichever I just jammed is my favorite till I jam another one lol
Zach is speaking about the Hatian revolution. A word that he's spittin that people keep getting wrong is Overture, when in fact its Louverture, the Hatian general that lead the Hatian Revolution during the Napoleonic era.
ok preciate the facts! im liking what i hear from him!
JU$T is a perfect piece of art. and bro... we all want El to just talk to us all day! (btw, yes El did make that beat.)
i agree, and yea i gotta get his number asap!
Normalize man-to-man admiration :)
Can somebody get el-p number for me? More droppin soon!
🤦🏾♂️ Bruh 😂
"I Will" Royce, Crookd, Joel and Em.
Rick Fleece what I say?
Jerrold Calloway yea I need to quit stalling and do that one
Agreed with everything you said man, great reaction! Regarding EL-P, check out "Stay Down" if you've yet to...if you think you have a man crush on him now...
ua-cam.com/video/EN6in-2Cs1U/v-deo.html
You asked if El-P made the beat. Yes, he made the beat, EL-P makes the beats for all of RTJ. He is just nasty man, El-p is a god.
the biggest fact! loving el-p!
@@MichelleShow Many personalities in hip-hop wear many hats. Usually their have one strong suit and are passable in the others. RZA can rap, sure...but he´ll always be known for his production first and foremost.
El-P is the *only* guy I know of in hip hop, apart from maybe Dr. Dre who can legitimately be considered to be a top tier MC, a top tier producer AND he's the co-founder and creative director of one of the most important independent record labels in hip hop history.
The Def Jux back catalog from around the turn of the century is filled with amazing releases from Aesop Rock, El-P, The Weathermen, Cannibal Ox, Cage, Company Flow, Del The Funky Homosapie, RJD2 and so many others. Well worth checking out if it's unknown to you.
Pharrell is hollering:
Mastered economics 'cause you took yourself from squalor (slave)
Mastered academics 'cause your grades say you a scholar (slave)
Mastered Instagram 'cause you can instigate a follow (shit)
ok got u
CIA Criminals In Action with Zack, KRS, and Last Emperor is another good track with dela Rocha.
Whoaa!! No way I’m not doing that one!
This is a classic.
"You say I'm selling crack, but you be doing that."
Started off a little slow for me but damn this song is hard as F lol im beyond glad Zach is back. Thats Rage Against The Machine for you. I love their documentary too.
ima check that out and try to get into more rage!
Zach cannot open his mouth without spitting straight 🔥
You're right, El-P has a phenomenal voice.. and his beats are just so f'n good. I really like Out of Sight, and Goonies vs E.T., the music in that hits wicked hard.
Haven’t heard those will check em out
Can you react to the track "walkin in the snow" off of the rtj4 album!?
my next run the jewels reaction i got u
It's crazy having followed El-P from 92-93 to now. Went from some crazy, obscure, underground king to what we have here. Hearing his beats on Cadillac commercials and unending sports clips...it's just weird, awesome, and DOPE.
im late but i will be checkin out everything el-p!
Damn I've literally listened to EL-P since I was six I was probably the only person in Missouri listening to him two adult swim came out
Yo?! My guy! Don’t sleep on Zach, homie. 💯✌️ Straight up lyricist.
Diggin’ ur channel. 🔥
Check out “Digging for Windows” by Zack de la Rocha. Produced by El-P too.
Gotta check out some Rage Against the Machine! Zack one of the best MC’s all time in my opinion. Bulls on Parade is a good one to start off with. Lyrics written 30 years ago are relevant with what’s going on today.
will do asap!
I'm not big into rap. I don't hate it, it's just not my thing. But RTJ has been playing in my car nonstop for almost 3 months now. Every song is better than the last.
What I trip on is that these artist are Gen X'rs. Milimeals and Gen Z need to step up.
interesting point
“The breath of me is weaponry, for you it’s just money” - Zack De La Rocha
love it!
Brah Zach has been spitting bars for a long time- “cia” with krs one-
yea ima do that one soon
"I am not down with Zach"
Watching three of your Rage first listens:
"Rage is my favorite band". XD
My # 1 song of 2020 too! I rap along to this joint everyday on my 30 min break outside my office building, with a raised fist, and I get really loud on the chorus and smile inside when I see corporate Whites coming in and out my building getting visibly uncomfortable with the lyrics lol
my guy!! best comment! 😂
Tell me who's putting out better music than RTJ in 2020? I'll wait....
nobody that i heard! 💯
@@MichelleShow idk, Joyner Lucas maybe....🔥🤣
Rocky Haggard never in the history of life!!
@@MichelleShow bro I keep listening to this album and the whole thing just moves you. Every song is a punch to the dome. You need to hurry up and get to some more!
Rocky Haggard walking in the snow comin soon
Love this. Not expecting you to react to more rock music. My favorite reactions are the ones where you shit on MGK for being trash.
Also RTJ is the shit
😂yea but still....i love mgk!
@@MichelleShow I know you don't love MGK like you love EL-P
Revan579 ion know man I’m hometown bias but el-p is getting there!
this reaction earned you a subscribe. listen to Zach with rage against the machine. they are heavily hip hop influenced. they even cover an Afrika Bambaataa song.
el-p does the production for RTJ
preciate u and will be doin more rage and rtj reactions asap!
Nice, here for Mike and Zach. They killed it. Is Pharrell political? No one can answer the question. Need to look into EL P never heard of him.
yea ima killer mike head, dont care too much about pharrell and im definitely startin to f*ck with el-p heavy!
Damn, forgot he was the other RTJ member. =/
El-P is incredibly political. His work goes back to 1996ish. He has never failed to impress me with his beats and his pen game is underrated. Check Indelible MCs, Company Flow, and his solo run of work is outstanding. Start with Fantastic Damage. Shits incredible.
check I´ll sleep when you are dead. Its my favorite album of him
Rage against the machine is famous for "killing in the name of" even if you aren't familiar with them you've probably heard
"Some of those who work forces
Are the same who burn crosses"
It's the key line from that song.
And Ju$t was deep
yea i did a rage reaction last week and liked it will do more.
You are going to LOVE Rage Against the Machine!
I believe it!
Zack lyrics and poetry. You will be amazed the depth of his lyrics. He speaks from the soul. When you see him live performances with ratm. Intense.
yea im late but ima get up to speed on him!
I’ve been in love with eLP for about 20 years, I couldn’t believe nobody understood, I couldn’t believe people were still listening to other rappers lol I actually had to stop listening to rap because nothing even came anywhere near the perimeter of what this man can do and nobody has the heart, mind and soul to even fathom who this man is. I’m really glad that more people are beginning to appreciate him lol I do the same thing when I listen to any eLP or run the jewels song for the first time lol I kind of just hold my head and hold back tears
Aesop Rock as well
EL-P's line "Vonnegut punch for your Atlas shrug" is genius!
walking in the snow might be the best song on the album
say no more, im on it!
Killer Mike Feat. El-P... BUTANE!!!! UpVOTE THE %@#$ out of this comment until he does BUTANE!
Str8 Fire!
Baby! What?! We need to talk about Rage Against the Machine. Tom Morello is the other front man along with Zach de la Rocha. It is SO telling that you don't know that Tom Morello is biracial white and African American, because it was hugely covered up during their heyday. Rage is not just rock... It's a crossover between rock, hip hop, spoken word, and anti-establishment folk style protest music. Rage isn't just a band, they're important... Love, a musicologist
"If you don't fuck wit Run the Jewels I'd like to know why..."
Dude put that on a t-shirt LOL
😂
Good idea 🤔
Hey, I just came across this video. That beat in the beginning is bangin. Like a throwback NWA Dre beat. I'd like to see some new kids rhyme over something like that. I might feel it.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯💯💯 run the jewels is the greatest duo right now they been sleeping on them for the longest it about time
Man they definitely movin up on my list I can see them being my favorite!
Stratos Fear probably my fav right now but run the jewels is catchin up!
El-P's RZA flow, requires RapGenius, which is his strength and weakness.
Just like De La Roacha.
All 3 speak their own language.
Sounds like you may be reacting to Rage Against the Machine soon. If you do, do yourself a favor and only do lyric videos.
must be hard to catch the bars!
@@MichelleShow not so much hard to catch, it's just easier to understand. It's always recommended for Rage songs. Just want to make sure you're ahead of the game
I wish I could a convert and have Zack chew me out just to hear his voice lol
i get chills every time i hear an el-p beat.
There is no RTJ that goes below a 9, its all top.
check out el-p with his 90s group company flow, check the song end to end burners. Been listening to el-p since 1994. and yes, he produced everything
Go back and check the Rage Against the Machine anthology (Zack de la Rocha). That was Pharrell rhymin first, btw.
got u ima check them out
😂😂 bro u really like el-p huh?
How can u not!
El is the producer... and he has bars, Em might have bars but he can make beats... that's why El is the #1 white rapper
he definitely one of my favorite rappers and producers of any color period!!!
Zach is a bloody savage.
El-P is otherworldly
It's true, us vulgar earthlings don't deserve him.
Can’t wait for you to see their “ooh la la” video my god!
man this might turn into a run the jewels channel cuz im doin much more asap!
I told you!
U definitely did but dam this hot 🔥🔥
@@MichelleShow I wouldn't recommend no trash. You're about the only reactor ill watch now, so I want them bangers!
Rocky Haggard yes sir! Need more run the jewels ASAP!
Try this one for something different.... Yasiin Bey is also known as Mos Def...
A Tribe Called Red - R.E.D. Ft. Yasiin Bey, Narcy & Black Bear (Official Video)
If you like storytelling listen to Eminem mockingbird I think you’ll like it he’s got a lot of real stuff in it and it’s a real serious song
I do and will check that out
Did Pharrell Williams produce this beat or El-P? Doesn't sound exactly like back with Neptunes, they had that specific space age sound with all the bleeps and pings (Drop it like it's Hot)
...but the beat sticks with you like a Pharrell production. Whatever PW touches turns to Gold ...or Platinum.
When Covid is over, Run The Jewels and Rage are in concert!!!! Im holding on to my tickets.
i wanna see that bad!!
I know this is 4 years old, but you seriously don't need to say no homo. be secure in yourself and no one else matters. no one thinks you are gay unless you say you are gay, and there is nothing wrong with being gay. so just enjoy what you enjoy and that's it. f*** the haters if they do say something negative. ok, now on to the reaction. thanks for your reactions
I just recently dove into the reaction side of hip hop videos and subscribed! I’d love to hear your take on Jake Drew. He’s pretty unknown but produces some insane bars and wordplay. His Role Model Remix and Kumbaya Remix are what made me a fan. Love the video, stay safe ✊🏼
I’m about to check this guy out
Tug for sure do! Underrated gem in my book.
I’ll check him out, which song tho?
MichelleShow check out his Homicide Remix. I feel like a lot of white rappers can become one note but this dude really works hard to try earn his spot as a guest in the hip hop world. So I respect that and wish more people studied Royce and stuff when trying to enter that world as a guest. 🖤
Check out Company Flow. I don't know how many years ahead of its time it was because I'm not sure we're there yet
El's been around for like the last 25 years... company flow was hard as shit, all his solo albums are bonkers too. Do some homework my man, you'll love it all
droppin a solo el-p song this week
@@MichelleShow If you do react to request denied by him: ua-cam.com/video/K1TpdcSJphQ/v-deo.html
If you don't fuck with RTJ we can't be friends.
I'd put Killer Mike on my Mt Rushmore of Hip-Hop
This is a music video worth watching!
Don't cheat, now, and start listening to their other songs, off camera. React bro!
😂 got u
@@MichelleShow 🤨
Pharrell did the background vocals.
That Michelle show intro was fucking flaaaaaame, that little whiny synth is the shit
yes sir been my intro song from the beginning but i never use it!
In young dolph’s voice: “ay AYY!”....I’m gonna need to see that fire card soon too
Tug my favorite adlib ever! gotta do some dolph soon but yea fire card incoming!!
Dude! Check out Rage! You'll love it. Love it when RTJ get with DeLa Rocha. Pharrell was the intro lines.
RTJ is fire. Top albums of 2020... circles and RTJ4.
what is circles? not hip to that album.
@@MichelleShow Mac Miller's post death album. Hauntingly beautiful music. It's our on vinyl and I happily own it. It's changed me this year.... Forever .. RIP Mac Miller.

Ima have to buy the album cuz this is my song of the year
MichelleShow bruh every song is like that! But pharrell did bring his shit to this one, that beat and the hook he gave them

11 out of 10
💯 song of the year!
EL-P produced the whole album. Always does.
joel woods man gotta love el-p
@@MichelleShow Yeah, he has a long history. Company Flow, Definitive Jux, solo career, production for other rappers. It's a dense catalogue of underground rap hits. Cannibal Ox's The Cold Vein entirely produced by EL-P is a real highlight. You can always find deep cuts from way back that EL-P has credits for. I first heard him on Hide Ya Face by Prefuse 73 feat. Ghostface Killah and EL-P. Man, that was back in '05 or something. I was a teenager then HA!
joel woods wow will be researching that! And uploading another rtj song ASAP!
@@MichelleShow So much fire in his back catalogue. A lot of instrumentals and compilation albums. He did a jazz album back in the day. He scored 2 movies Bomb the System and Capone. Definitely check out his production credits for other rappers like Cage, Mr. Lif, Cannibal Ox, Aesop Rock, Del the Funky Homosapien etc. Not to mention a plethora of killer features on tracks by DJ Krush, Prefuse 73 and many others. A back catalogue that is deserving of a listen that's for sure. He's always been one of the greats to me.
That title 😂
🤷🏽♂️ it is what it is
Shout out to Michelle show 💪🏾🤟🏾
preciate u bruh
I’m out
i pray for your illness 💯

El-P's smooth as hell. The way he slurs out the side of his mouth is just pure sexy.
