Yeah with Run the Jewels the singles are never the best tracks, they're still great but it's always the more political deep cuts (thieves, 2100, kill your masters) You gotta do Rtj4, El P's lyrics, rhyme schemes, and flows are top tier.

You'll realize that in the album they tend to have one of them be the lead and crush it while the other is in the back hyping the other with support. To me, El-P sounds a lot like Redman. El is slightly more laid back, and has a smidge less bravado, but has a very similar baritone voice and delivery.
He has a high pitched yet hard voice. A lot of it comes from his weight. Large men / Woman voices are always deeper. I know, i lost a lot of depth to my voice when I lost 140lbs

That album feels like it transports me to a shitty New York studio apartment, watching these guys smoke weed and cut samples for new beats. The reason I love that album is because it's so raw that you feel like you can really, REALLY understand the artists intent and emotional state.
