In this video we are #forecasting a potentially #major #storm that will track down through the great plains and Midwest on Friday into Saturday. After that it’s expected to make a sudden turn up the coast and amplify. We’re gonna take a look at all the possibilities as there is still a lot of disagreement with those forecast #models. Nevertheless, this one’s certainly going to be very interesting..

Southern winter weather is usually the opposite, overly hyped. This time it wasn't though. I've gotten 6" of snow plus a ton of slush and ice in NE GA - the most "hype" model was actually correct for us. But we were prepared to lose power, which we did overnight. Still coming down as we prepare for the buck end to hit us again as it rotates to head north.

Ryan, I have lived in the Chattanooga area all of my life. For the Southern Tennessee Valley the low pressure really needs to form in the gulf and move eastward along the coast before turning northward. It really helps if the cold air is already here or very near. an example was the Storm of The Century did this and Chattanooga set its record of 23,5 inches of snow. For us to get anything from this storm the low will have to move further toward the Gulf than central AL. You do a great job. I love watching your broadcasts. Keep up the good work.

Agree. We live in Knoxville which as you know is a valley. The last storm they said we’d get 3-5”. And we barely got an inch. The weather predictions come from the west - and when they hit here they literally go to the north, the south and meet back to go to the east of the
City. I get tired of stocking up on stuff we don’t need

I love the fact that you give out long range forecast that are very accurate and gives your viewers a chance to respond and get ready for what may be coming. By the time this system hits I will have everything prepared to weather a mild hit or a severe thumping from this storm. If it misses no problem, just a little effort put forth on my part. We live in the western part of the piedmont of North Carolina and have seen this type of weather before. We need to prepare for a possible grid down scenario, possibly for three days, Shop for your needs now and after it hits, Please stay at home and off the roads. This area has had a large influx of good people over the last decade and a lot of them just don't know how to drive safely even in normal weather. If you choose to venture out, You are in mortal danger on the Interstate's and anywhere around this area. Any four lane road that normally allows speeds of 65 MPH or more will be a nightmare. If you must travel, use the back rds. No fearmongering, Just a fact! Prepare now and stay home if it gets bad! POMO

I have an auditory processing disorder which means I have a hard time understanding spoken words even when they're really clear. You are really clear and I usually don't have any trouble understanding you on a good day (don't get me wrong). On bad days I have to rely on closed caption and I have to say yours is one of the best that I've seen in a while. Which probably means you have it done separately and don't depend on youtube to produce it. I just wanted to drop in to say I really appreciate it and it really helps to have clear CC. Thank you so much!

Skips past Missouri just like snow does. Generally dumps everything it has before it gets to us , then picks up moisture when it gets past us and dumps on the next state

Yeah our "winter storm cast" for the last snow storm that hit TN kept saying we here in E. TN were going to get 6-10"..we barely got an inch. Pretty weird that middle and western TN are getting hit harder than foothills over here🤔. But I completely understand how hard forecasting TN is because of being in the middle of cold and warm air!!

I am deejaying a wedding in Arlington, VA (right next to D.C.) on Saturday. 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. It's about a 60 mile drive for me each way. I am glad that this is tracking to hit the area on Sunday evening now, and not Saturday! I will be unloading my equipment back into storage Sunday @ Noon before this storm hits the area! My only event this entire month and a potential blizzard is coming! I work my weekday job on Monday...Might be calling out of work that day!
