See You In Hell is the funniest and coolest ability name and i'm genuinely shocked it hasn't been used by Final Fantasy's Dark Knight

Watch it be the Level 100 ability for Dark Knight for FFXIV... If that happens, maybe I'll go back to playing the job!

I remember when See you in hell triggered when I forgot it I had equipped it during the orthros fight, I had thought that I needed to use raise on Tiz after he fell but then he used the ability and brought both heads down at the same time which made me laugh for a hard 5 minutes

I don't remember much about this class but it's name does ring a bell.
Also great videos btw. Your Templar guide got reccomended to me and I've been binge watching your guides since and been on a huge nostalgia trip for it. Keep it up.

This is one of those few late-game jobs in Bravely Default that knows what it wants to do. Arcanist tried to be the ultimate magic damage job, but lacked the consistency to actually perform. Templar tried to be both an immovable object and an unstoppable force at the same time, but failed at both. Vampire, while amazing, takes a LOT of time and effort to really get going (especially if you don't use an online guide) and suffers from some of it's best spells either being DLC (Nemesis only) or permanently missable unless you do the (admittedly difficult) quest for it as soon as it becomes available in chapter 4. Conjurer tries to be the ultimate jack-of-all-trades, but limits itself too heavily by ONLY focusing on self-buffs and either relies too heavily on it's secondary (or primary) job command to actually make use of those buffs (which aren't even exclusive to it and can be outdone by Performer, Salve Maker, or even the borderline meme-job that is Merchant). Spiritmaster gets a pass due to being a team support job that isn't just a derivative of White Mage/Salve Maker/Performer.
Dark Knight... THIS job knows what it wants to do. Big. Damage. The best part: EVERYTHING about the Dark Knight plays into this; with the sole exceptions Abate Dark and Helm Lore (which aren't even bad support skills designed for other jobs and/or situational use), the job's WHOLE learnset is either big damage, AoE big damage, or ways to make big damage become bigger damage. The learning curve isn't even THAT steep; just one or two uses of each of its spells can inform players of what does what and how to play around potential accidental party wipes. Dark Knight isn't even locked into needing Spell Fencer as a secondary for Drain Sword due to a Blood Blade being available before even Dark Knight, which is both stat-wise the strongest sword for the next few chapters, and is even the 3rd strongest non-Norende-sword in the game. And with how high Dark Knight's damage is, losing up to 6 points of attack is unquestionably a great trade-off for not needing to dedicate a whole secondary job just for Drain Sword, letting you make use of other potentially useful secondaries like Pirate/Monk/Freelancer.

Ah yea, I think this Job was done really well as you said
Vampire I think was done pretty well despites the flaws, as it's a very fun job, with many options
Rampart is carrying Templar hard. The only reason this job is even worth using.
And yea, Conjurer and Arcanis are probably the worst and 2nd worst job, completely failed.

@@tricky2795 I'd argue Conjurer edges out Summoner, but just barely. It's not great, still a lower tier job for sure, but its stats do make it a viable choice to use as a main job for another caster, say black mage. The high stats make it so you don't necessarily need to rely on things like Phantom Weapon + weapon lore and/or two-handed, so you can slot in something else like Group Cast All/Master, Pierce M.Defense or something similar.
It has at least that going for it, Summoner just doesn't do anything as literally any other caster will outclass or in the best case match its damage while also offering other uses. BM has its ailments and Drain/Aspir, TM has Quick, Haste(ga) and Reraise, and so on.

@@comfyshiro3136 Summoner exist in chapter 2 to clear early trash mobs, you should never put Conjurer as a main/subjob that late in the game against anything.

@@tricky2795 There's the argument on fun versus efficiency. For a while, I was told Conju was bad. So I didn't use it. However I did a playthrough recently where I used some jobs I'd previously overlooked or liked the look of, and again, Conju ended up surprising me. The same cannot be said for Summoner. Black Magic just does its job better, there's hardly any mobs in the chapter 2-4 range that needs Summoner's aoe-locked output, and is also far better against bosses, especially those with an elemental weakness.

@@comfyshiro3136 Dark Knight "life and death" makes Conjurer utterly useless to me, it just does 4 of conjurer buffs in 1 turn, while gaining +2 BP on top, the drawback of Doom is easily cleared by Rejuvenation
At least Summoner job can see some kind of use between C2 and C4 clearing trash mobs while B&W magic lvls are still low, at least for me. It's a superfast way to grind.

I'm sure someone's done it before, but I've found a way for Dark Knight to be both a potent damage dealer and utility unit. When making a BP Battery for my team, I considered both the My Hero/Rejuvenation loop and the BP Recovery/Group-Cast All poison strategies. However, I found both to be too limiting; the former essentially necessitates a Performer/Freelancer combo, the latter takes up basically all your support ability slots, and both strategies essentially reduce the character to strictly being a "BP Bot" and buffer. However, there's another way to do the BP Recovery chain: Poison Sword Magic and Dark Nebula. As far as I know, Dark Nebula is the only physical AoE that hits both enemies and allies (Vampire's Toxic Whirl can only target the enemy), and can apply poison to both at the same time EVEN IF your allies are immune to-- or even better, absorb Dark: damaging the enemy, healing your party, and triggering BP Recovery all at the same time! The main limitations are that your Dark Knight must know Sword Magic (no poison magic weapon you can use like Blood Blade with drain), it's not as self-sufficient as you really need a Spiritmaster or Salvemaker to not get your party killed, and it's pretty high-investment with essentially endgame jobs. Also if your teammates die, you have to re-apply buffs so they don't get hurt by Nebula; but between an Arcanist's exterminate and DK's Nebula, you're going to have constant healing if you use Adaptation on the whole party (or at least the Dark Knight so they heal back the health lost from using Nebula). Another drawback is that you can't use Fairy Ward to nullify status because you need to get poisoned, but ailment-resisting equipment and Salvemaker's inoculate and "Resist Status" compounds can mitigate this against certain troublesome status effects. It isn't as simple or as much damage as spamming Drain Rages the whole turn, but it opens up your other party members to different roles than dedicated support.
Other notes about the Dark Knight, I'm not a big fan of how the helmet covers the characters' faces. It looks kinda cool but I'd rather they just have the armor. And of course, See You In Hell is very fun to pair with a suicidal Monk with Natural Talent & Rise from Dead for a pseudo-unkillable warrior who can pump out damage every turn.

First you can cleanse Doom with Special attack Rejuvenation.
    So anyway:
    My favorite job,
I use 2 or 3 in most of my battles +1 Bp battery and optionally a support
The Blood Blade gives you drain without needing the Spellfencer job
I use "Life or Death" to gain +2 BP with BP recovery and cleanse it later with Rejuvenation cast by the Performer (restoring Bp count as healing)
You can offset some of the Rage BP cost this way. I make sure to use it as the last action so start of next turn, my Performer can mimic it a few times to get their own BP up before casting Rejuvenation to cleanse it.
It was my go to cycle:
    Turn 1
Start with +1 Bp on Performer and cast My Hero + 3x mimic, sets everyone else at 4 BP, while setting yourself at -1 (0 Bp start of next turn)
All Dark Knights use Blood Blade to gain drain, life or death, Rage and 2nd Life or death Setting everyone at 2 BP.
(can also cast whatever you set as the sub job instead of Rage like Templar's Rampart or something.)
    Turn 2
Performer use mimic thrice and the Rejuvenation to set everyone including the performer at 4 BP
All Dark Knights use Rage, Life or death, Rage Life or dead, to set themself at 0 BP
Slow world activates now, keeping everyone at their BP, while the boss usually stands at -1 BP, giving me 1 free turn here .
And then keeping the cycle from there maintaining BP while chipping away hp off the boss.
i tried stuff with Low leverage, but it was kinda hard to really optimize my builds as I was mostly satisfied with them basically killing every boss without a gimmick punishing Physical damage
Dark knight drain combo won't work on Undead, but Undead enemies are a joke. (Gigas Lich can be completely locked out when a Performer restores Bp on it while he pays you money when you deal damage with Merchant Big Pharma and the Zombie dragon can be insta killed casting Raise on it)
Also throw my entire setup out the window against any pathetic bosses like the Final boss and the traitor, as even on Hard mode, they don't have enough hp to withstand 30 hits of Dark Bane from Rage 6 times on turn 1.

I beat the entire game by spamming dark nebula + absorption for 9999 + max heal. This is the most broken class in the game. Made it trivial to do 120k damage per turn.

Some of the most fun things I've done in this game include:
Spamming the dagger special attack over and over again by using Ninja + Chemist since using combine on Chemist counts as using two items.
As well as converting my Dark Knight into a healer by using Adaptation to absorb Dark element on the party and spamming Dark Nebula.

Regarding Life or Death, I think you can cleanse it with Special Move upgrades possibly. But you can PREVENT it from applying Doom at all by using Fairy Ward first. So free buffs with no consequences.

Bravely default 2 has a renamed version of "See you in hell". Don't remember what it's called, but it saved my life once when I tried to end a boss fight too early and she lived with double digit hp. She Cleaned up my entire party and was about to kill me, but my second to last party member smacked her after dying and that was enough to end the fight. THE most down to the wire I've ever been in this game.

Ah, the Dark Knight. One of my favorite archetypes in fantasy. As a misanthrope it is just so fulfilling to turn your hatred into pure power to fling at everyone and everything that pisses you off.
Also listening to the Three Hopes ost made me thinking about the possibility of a Bravely Warriors game.....
