Just picked one up and I love it! So good!
I have the exact same knife. Mine had INSANE lock stick for 2 days but now it's totally gone.
In the U.S. perhaps the best knife value to come along in several years.
for sure
The lock stick comes from the copious amounts of oil they put on the bearings. Take the knife apart clean everything put a single drop of oil on both bearings all the lock stick will go away
6:45 - The only knife company ive ever seen thread screws directly into aluminum... is microtech...
The MSI is my only ram lock that doesn’t stick. As for the large button screws in the clip, I haven’t noticed them at all.
Its really great prob first knife ill justify after market scales for
I suppose I am biased - I have always been a Chris Reeve guy and still am however… when PA turned legal for autos, I purchase an Ultratech - and then Microtech started upgrading their OTF’s with milled titanium clips, new dual fuel system and at the same time as I was buying them (Combat Troodon, Cypher II, Hera II), they came out with a new LUDT with titanium back spacer, the aluminum Stitch and MSI - all with upgraded Ti back spacers and now I have a whole bunch. All that to say not only did Microtech come out with these new folders, they are very premium at not very premium prices - I feel like Microtech is delivering big time and the MSI is just incredible!
The Benchmade Anthem integral had a coil spring behind the crossbar. The ram lock is very similar in design, or so I thought. Turns out I was wrong but I learned something new.
You're not wrong, but that's the end of the comparison.
This has more in common with the shark lock than the Anthem lock. The lock on the anthem is more similar to the CBBL.
@@CNYKnifeNut I learned something new, thanks 🙂
I agree with your enthusiastic review. The MSI is a winner- a large wharncliffe blade, and best of all, it's incredibly useful EDC. It's in my pocket and it carries well (5oz). The lock stick appears on all the models(I have all the models) goes away in time. Yes, the MSI is impressive.
Purchased a FDE version a couple months ago. So far I am liking it a lot and I'm not usually into larger folders. Agree about the pocket clip screw heads, they are quite large.
such a cool knife!
