    Hi. I see a majority of your patterns for ladies tops/cardigans etc, are on circular needles, can these be used with standard single point needles, as I'm still trying to get to grips with the circulars? All your patterns look so pretty and I love the way you explain the stitches on your tutorials.

      Thank you for your comment :) For the Raglan Sweater, I don't think you can knit them with the straight needles neither DPN(too short). The rest of them like this one, for sure you can knit them with regular needles. But you have to sew 2 pieces together once you finish knitting! Enjoy Knitting!

    Hello again Beginner's LUCKraft, when you said repeat 4X when doing the "Grand Picot Eyelet" Repeat (DR1 - DR3) 4X, did you mean after doing 1X with written pattern then add 4 more times of DR1 to DR3 thus 5X total or just a total of 4X? I am already at this part and got confused. Please help, thanks :) :) :)

    Hi. Thanks for the video. What a gorgeous summer sweater. I'm hoping you can clarify row 2 of D: Grand Picot at 14:00. It says (Sl1, K2tog, PSSO, WYO), K1( ) Repeat. When you showed this, you did repetitions of (Sl1, K2tog, PSSO, WYO) with the K1. Could you explain this as I was expecting (Sl1, K2tog, PSSO, WYO) K1 and then the repeat. Thank you.

    • @BeginnersLUCKraft
      @BeginnersLUCKraft  4 роки тому +4

      Hi thanks for comment :) To answer your question, ( ) bracket means repeat, so You will repeat knitting within bracket which is ( Sl1, K2tog, PSSO, WYO) until 1 last stitch, then, K1 at the very end. So another word, you will not knit 1 until last stitch. I hope you know what I'm saying :) Enjoy knitting!

    Thanks

    • @BeginnersLUCKraft
      @BeginnersLUCKraft  2 роки тому

      Thank you for your comment :) To answer your question, it's up to you. If you can add a few more rows, then you can add some garter stitch at the bottom & top, or even in the middle of design. Or You can repeat any design you want as many as you want. Example, Design A is Eyelet and only repeat of 4 rows, so you can repeat R1 to R4 as many as you want, until your desire length, or you can repeat R1 to R4 then add a few rows of garter st, and another eyelet design from R1 to R4, something like this. You can customize this you want. Mesh Design is maybe easier, just repeat until your desire length. Make sure how long you want, then think about it! Good luck and Enjoy knitting!

    Good day, Beginner's LUCKraft, may I know why you multiplied 3 X 37 to get your number of COs? Secondly, would it matter if I use the short tail CO rather than the long tail CO? My apologies for these questions but hopefully will get a respond from you soon. Excellent tutorial :)

    • @marympfeffer1623
      @marympfeffer1623 5 років тому +1

      Susan, for this pattern, you want to use somewhere around 100, so to use a little Algebra, you solve for "X" Kind of/Sort of. Another lady used 98, but it is a little different. It's a multiple of 3 stitches, but you have to have an even number with a multiple of 3. So, 3(X) = 111 + 1; So, 3(37) + 1 = 112; So, 111+1 = 112 for the Cast on. This lady chose 112, it's a good number to use & you can use any number, but you may have to add one to that number so the total is a multiple of 3. The number 111 is NOT a multiple of 3, but adding one to it equals 112 which "IS" a multiple of 3. I hope this helps. P.S. You can use more or fewer, as long as it's a multiple of 3 +1. Have fun with it.

    Thank you,I really appreciate it but I have a question.How can I arrange the shoulders' length or depth🤔???

    • @BeginnersLUCKraft
      @BeginnersLUCKraft  2 роки тому +1

      Thank you for your comment and question. Before answering your question, I want to make sure what you mean by arrange the shoulders length or depth.
      Shoulder means from right to left, and this is the boxy (square) tops, so the bottom and shoulder would be the same length.
      You will knit this from bottom, so when you cast, that would be your shoulder to shoulder length as well.
      And depth, I'm not quite sure what depth you're talking about...
      Are you talking about the sleeves?
      If you're talking about sleeve length and depth, length = when you add new cast for sleeve, that's the time you have to arrange how you want it.
      If you want to have a shorter sleeve, add less new cast.
      Important thing is that most likely you must have whole sts count with multiple of 3 +1 total, which is same as cast on # rule.
      EX) I have 100 sts now, and I would like to add a short sleeve so, I will add 9 sts each side, 100 + 9 + 9 = 118
      100 is multiple of 3 +1, so add just the number of multiply of 3
      For depth, it's really up to you.
      If you don't get it, or these are not the ones you want to know, please let me know with more details.
      Good luck and Enjoy knitting!

On my 4th attempt, the same problem is happening. From the first set of stitch c and d, my work has decreased incredibly, to 15 stitches! Please can you help me, and let me know where I have gone wrong as I would love to be proud of myself, for completing a project and can actually wear myself.

    • @BeginnersLUCKraft
      @BeginnersLUCKraft  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you for your comment! First of all, is it possible for you to send me a picture? I have a good guess that you might forget to do the yarn over. The yarn over creates a hole (design), at the same time, you increase stitch. In C design (most of lace designs), using the yarn over (increase the stitch) and PSSO which is pass the slip stitch over (DECREASE), creates a lace design and keep the stitch count same. So if you forget to do the yarn over, you will lose 1 stitch at the time. And this pattern, you will repeat it, so every time you forget to do the yarn over, you keep losing 1 stitch. A lot of people especially beginners tend to forget. If you still have your project, check the design, probably there are many places missing gaps.
      Also are you using a security line when you knit this project? If you're using the security line, you don't have to start all over again.
      The security line is to use a scrap yarn to put it through entire row, so whenever you make a mistake, you can just rip the project off until the security line. So you can save your project under the security line, do you understand? If not, let me know! And you can post your pic on my facebook page under same handle name! Good luck and Enjoy knitting!

      @@BeginnersLUCKraft i have a 4ply cotton yarn. And measurement as in ?? Measurements of what ma'am ?

      @BeginnersLUCKraft  2 роки тому

      @@shimonamangal7360 My cast on # is based on my knitting tension and my desire measurement.
      I usually knit a swatch 4" X 4" with the yarn and needles I am going to use.
      Example I have 22 stitches within 4", and I would like to knit about 20" across which is my desire measurement.
      4" vs 20" = 22 stitches vs [CAST ON # X]
      My cast on # = 20X22/4=110
      Then this project must start with the cast on # with multiple of 3 +1, so the closest # is 112.
      This is how I find out the cast on #.
      So you will need to knit a swatch 4" across , and you have to count how many stitch you have within that 4", this is your knitting tension.
      Also your desire measurement how wide you want divided by 2, because you will have to knit 2 pieces in this project. So the widest part you want.
      I hope you understand :)
      Everybody has a different knitting tension, and different yarn and needle they want to use.
      Let me know!

      Thank you for your question. I need your gauge and measurement if possible, otherwise I only guess which is no good. Here is the tutorial for swatch, it's super easy! ua-cam.com/video/baVuwr-U86U/v-deo.html The measurement I need is your bottom part, I guess the widest part, because this is knitted from bottom to top. Let me know!

      Is this the written pattern by Erin Kate ARCHER? Or is it different ma'am? Your response will be appreciated.

      Thank you for your question. This was actually ordered by my friend and she gave me the pattern, not this one, HOWEVER, I checked this pattern BY Erin Kate, looks similar. Almost all the lace stitches are same, and orders are pretty much same. The difference are the number of stitches, size, the length and mine has sleeves.
      So if you want to use her written pattern to knit this, I think you can do that, however it won't be exactly same as this one :) Good luck and Enjoy knitting!
