Firstly @AngieD300, congrats on grabbing a Weber kettle, secondly, these are my go to for wings and I'll say sorry now, as you will be cooking them all the time.
Awesome looking wings! I am loving all the information, humor, recipes, science equations, grill tossing, and serious good-eats emanating from you...and your channel. I just received 'The Vortex' for my 22 inch (non-sponsored) Weber kettle, and I can't wait to give your flappers a go! Thank you, for all the time it takes to give us lovers of great food all this tremendous information and entertainment we can absorb. You keep killin-it, and we keep loving it!
I've done wings like this.............except for the added part about spraying with oil and also using the spray bottle for the hot sauce. I have to try this now! Thanks again for another great video!
Talk about good timing. I ordered a kettle kone and it arrived Friday. I'm planing on testing it out tomorrow and was thinking chicken wings would be a great test cook.
Should be easier for you to find than it was for me @SJCOOKS, I scoured Ebay USA for them (yes I grabbed a few) Search Teleflora weber, it was a promotional item from years ago for Fathers day. They pop up from time to time.
Hi Schuey - have you ever tried rolling the wings in Panko breadcrumbs before cooking? Had some done that way last weekend and was wondering if they could be done on a non sponsored spherical outdoor cooking chamber?
Thanks @WILLSPA50 it's a local guy here in Melbourne Australia who makes them, I'll be putting a link up in my Facebook group this weekend with a discount code. Super strong, these things will outlive 20 cheaper unit lus some and he makes a smaller version for lighting 12 - 14 briquettes to get a snake going.
@@SchueysBBQ thank you for the quick reply!! I will place an order when I see the post. Thanks Schuey!! Little fangirl moment talking to the legend himself 😊
Thanks @tadibrothers3943JNS you lads are slow on the catch up, good old Franks mate. Did you like it? If too strong, cut it down with some unsalted butter, roughly a quarter of cup of Franks to around 25-50 grams of butter.
Cmon schuey youve done that one to no end...time to step out of the box...stuff something (smut) or rotissarie a lamb or wrap something in bacon...maybe bbq a unicorn or a dragon..
Thanks @michaelbelliveau8755 that is it for hot wings now, I'm happy with this recipe. In fact these are the pinnacle and will be hard to top. I have a few bigger cooks coming, some different proteins, a few experimental cooks and some crazy things in the background, just trying to sort it all out, so bare with me 😉
Don't bother with Weber. They decided not to sponsor you. Time to look for worthy alternatives such as a Kamado Joe or BGE. No fiddling with hot spots and turn the lid around, using a kettle cone, ... Keep up the good work Dean.
Weber would sponsor you if they could but they ain’t because they can’t.😅😅😅😅 you must have some of the more educational and entertaining videos these days… Did you have to dilute the Franks? You failed to say you put that $hit on everything.
Thanks @mrneilram I'm not desperate, we already spoke for two years mate. They were going to jump onboard and then backflipped, I'm just ribbing them mate, no hard feelings, just my sense of humour 😉
Just got my Weber Kettle today…and I think I’m more excited I found this channel. CANNOT wait to make these. Thank Sir!

Great video well. Done

Hey mate, I can’t find the wings vid that used corn flour? Could you dust in corn flour at the start then follow this recipe?
Corn flour (starch) video for you @brycedavey8984 ua-cam.com/video/lUvroByjAg8/v-deo.htmlsi=s1ZEalkLlc9sWNQm

Come on #weber, get in there with Schuey....Smut!
Ha Ha they made their choice @michaelsaunders6705 😉
Following this as best as I can, but the wings almost always come out overcooked. Can only think I've got the temp too high?
Schuey isn't just a BBQ god, he has really great wrist action (5:15) for those nights.... err, when he needs to err...
Thanks @msc_1974 it's called feeding the chickens 😉 😂
Noice, different, unusual! 😂
Thanks @1974nellyoz me or the wings? 😂
Your a bloody legend Schuey . Just tried the franks extra hot sauce last week , maybe give it a go . Keep Smutting . 🤔🤣

@@SchueysBBQ Yep Must be old age . Don't mind the heat so it was good but will keep your trick in mind . Try the thick Frank's sauce . Cheers
@@SchueysBBQdoes the butter harden after awhile? Maybe butter powder would also work also?
Going to try this out in 15 minutes but I’m going to use a little apple wood. Hope it doesn’t take away from crispiness.
Ever tried the baking soda or corn starch (corn flour in AUS) tricks?
Thanks @paulmisseghers9398 yeah mate, tried both and they sort of work, you get okay results but this is the far superior way in my book.
🍻
3:00 always make me laugh
Thanks @bramvanharen3382 I've been doing it just for you all this time, can I please stop? It is costing me a fortune in grills 😂
Good, different, LAID
