- Since all of you loved the Android 11 version of this video, I decided to try out the Android 12 version of this custom ROM for the Redmi Note 10 that was released on New Year Eve.
But I gotta say, I was not impressed at all like I was with the earlier Android 11 build. Watch the video till the end to find out why this wasn't as exciting.

I was like you 10 years ago, there's too many compromises that you have to do when using custom ROMs. In the end you'll learn it's not worth the hassle.

It is totally worth it if you know what you are doing
Completely agreed, even if people say it's better, you still have to compromise so many things that it just makes custom roms not that worth the effort. The only thing a custom rom is good for is to revive a dead phone that does not receive any updates.
Love your videos, i wanted to ask if i can install android 12 roms using orange fox or twrp while running an android 12 rom ( cuz of the data encryption and such)

Some devices you will not a good experience with custom roms but for me in my redmi note 8 using paranoid on it feels like a whole other phone

I installed this rom on my pro edition and I thank you for the very detailed explanation installing the rom. Currently I have pixel exp 12 and it's so much smooth for me 🔥
Recently switched back to miui from PE11(PE11 was too plain for me) now not going to install this rom right now, will wait for a month or two until it becomes better so that I can flash it and be satisfied
Great video as always, i also flashed pe 12 and it's buggy, so I had to revert back, hope the Dev's solve the issues

I had some bugs on PE 12 on my Poco F1, with volume controls, wallpapers, etc., which were rectified in the July OTA update, so PE is not at all a bad option. The devs pay attention to issues in the different forums and provide fixes promptly. Also worth mentioning is that some of these issues are coming directly from Android open source API itself and not from custom ROM creators. I've seen people owning Pixel devices complaining about same/similar bugs.

man dont stop making custom rom videos specially for this redmi note 10. And maybe make an update video on this rom as there's already an update with tons of changelogs.

I wasn't impressed too at all. I had to switch to Pixel OS. Which I find to be more or less same to PE. I think I'll try Octavi OS next.
Anyway, thanks for the GCam. I was searching for one and yours works perfectly.
It`s not the ROM, Android 12 itself on Pixel phones was buggy till some updates on February or March, on top of this is a port to a completely different phone and remembering that 1 or 2 developers are who maintain the ROM for free, I wouldn`t criticize their work without knowing why is like that, just to make a video with a flashy Title.
I'm aware of what I convey to my audience, requesting you not to intrude in such cases !
@@rohitagni well, looking at the title, doesn't look impressive, it's better as you stated every bugs and stuff in the rom but consider what Josue said, this rom is managed for free and this kind of title can surely weigh them down, please work on the title, I really like your content, peace
There's a very thin line between criticizing things on your face and politely making a point. All I can say is I hate the former and praise the latter. And one more thing, I am aware the devs work for free and I'm not asking them to come to a solution ASAP, that is not the way to go, but since I belong to the same field, I think I am aware of what we are capable of.
I'm using pixel experience plus on my samsung note 9. Works really well for me. I don't find any bugs. So neat and stable rom. I love it

Just wanted to check if your telephoto lens is working fine while using GCam app provided by you in the description? I am using the same and the telephoto lens just get blurry all the time. It doesn't focus at all. while other 2 lenses are working fine.

Another Bug that I faced in Pixel Experience (mojito) is with video recording .
There's a bug that don't let u record the video with audio... and video duration stretches to hours ...
I mean like i record a 8 sec video . it stretches to like 1.5 hours or something , and without audio ....
I also tried with different camera apps.. all shows the same results. : (
I faced that in Android 11 also... then I contacted the developer and he replied he knows about that and they were working on that...
this problem was solved in later updates..
and now I am again facing on android 12.. : (

The thing which you can do is take logs and report to the developer.
It's a great video and I install it on my redmi note 10 but as you mentioned the camera just sucks so it's a request to make a video of installation of anx camera with pixel experience is along with pixel experience recovery. That's all 👍👍👍👍

You have to press the power button with your thumb finger's nail in all the a12 roms. Otherwise it doesnt work
Use the nail of thumb+volume down. And youre good to go. And yes. Pe rom sucks. Used pixel os as well that sucked too. Not good sot. So far ppui and pixel extended gave me better experience in terms of sot and smoothness. And it had less bugs

Please make the best custom ROM video for Mi A3, because it deserves it. This phone has one of the best hardware, but never got a taste of good software. Lots of mi a3 users had issues, they might want to jump into custom ROMs. If you could make a video on it, it would be excellent.

Brother did you faced any issues while recording video , like sound not recording such in this rom , almost every Android 12 roms I tried have that issue except pixel os .

I am trying my luck with Redmi Note 8 pro ROMs in recent days and I have to say... this pixel thing is so bizarre! I miss the 3 buttons, lol I felt like a oldman yelling at the clouds, "were is my 3 buttons??" I hate this design, Google wants everything to be a gesture, fuck that, I am too old for this shit

I wanted to keep the last pe 11 build but unfortunately there is a bug with the download of the update for the real pixel devices, that cause big data usage and huge battery drain, it's sad because the Pe11 plus edition was very good.

The screenshot bug alone is enough for me to stick to Android 11 for now. Hopefully it'll get resolved soon

Best custom rom for normal usage light gaming...
From last 2 years the battery backup was like 8-9 hrs
Now it's been 2 years so yeah somehow the battery is degrading but not so much
Like on normal usage only 7:30 hrs

Currently testing this custom rom on redmi note 10. No issues so far aside that the g camera isnot working battery seems draining a lot. I installed the feb 2022 update. Hope they fix those 2 that i mention
how is the battery now after feb update?
It took like 1 day and a half since i charge my phone from between 25-90%

I didn't liked it because of the bugs, an overall laggy experience. Battery went down fast, like, really fast. I'd give it a few more updates and the android 12 Xiaomi camera to fully embrace it.
