Didn't discuss the steering after going into dynamic/sport mode; would've been nice to hear. My experience is that it is significantly better than his first (only) review of it.
It's a great car overall. Great balance of driving dynamics, interior features and comfort. The adaptive cruise control in particular is a really useful feature for long highway drives.

I just bought one and it’s incredibly good. Premium Plus S line
I’m a bit disturbed with the mild hybrid thing. Because of it, replacing the 12V battery is not a do-it-yourself. You need the dealer to reprogram the car to recognize the new battery:$500. And if the 48 V “mild hybrid” battery goes: $2700. The mild hybrid is used all the time, so I’m not sure how long after the 5 year warranty these batteries will survive.
Great review as always. Did you find the dual clutch transmission shift smoothly from first to second gear from a stop or at low speeds or was it jerky like what people say on UA-cam about these gear boxes? Thanks.

Mine had some minor issues but my b9 A4 was awesome. Drove great, faster than you think for a 2.0T, and ages incredibly well.
What issues did you have?
@@trogman43988 Random rattles. 1st gear was very twitchy low speeds, could be due to the DCT. BO sound system was great. Sensor would sometimes sense nothing and slam on the brakes when I reversed into a parking spot, very jarring.
I think these rims look really good with the redesign. Not so much on the ‘17-19” models..
I would not consider the A4 a compact. I live in a state requires a front license plate but I haven’t had one on any of my cars for the past six years. I don’t like how they ruin the front end
I wanted to buy an entry level Mercedes, and decided to check out this video to see its competition in the market - I may be looking at audis now… that interior is great. Great video 👍🏼

Have a 2021 A5 Sportback in Turbo Blue w/ gray interior. Beautiful. Changing out the sway bars and adding sub but love it otherwise

Bmw new interiors better honestly , I own a A3 2018 and honestly prefer the interiors from that year for a4 a3.

The A4 isn't a compact premium sedan, it is a midsize premium sedan in the class of e.g. the BMW 3-Series. A3 is a compact sedan and hatchback.
I prefer the A4's interior much more than the new A3's, for example the A3's center console is poorly designed but also has alot cheaper material (scratchy cheap hardplastic with a pattern) than the previous Generation which at least had s solid looking plastic in a soft matt finish. Secondary, the folding mechanism (that thick barrel) of the armrest is still exposed to the rear passengers. I don't know why they didn't integrate the mechanism like in this Audi or how BMW does in all their models since forever to have a smooth integrated design.
The cup holders in the A4 also luckily aren't placed right in front of the armrest unlike in the A3, who ever thought it is good to place both cup holders on one side + right in front of the armrest is brainless, additionally to use them you have to flip a cheap ring ro secure bottles/cans.
The only downside of the new A4 is that Infotainment screen, its badly integrated as if someone glued an iPad onto the dash. They should have done like BMW give it a stylish shape and have integrated with the dashboard lines or at least done it as it is in the new A1, A3 and A6 being integrated into the dashboard itself - but that will most likley come with the next generation or facelift.
The A4 is compact, the A3 is a subcompact sedan in the US.

Touch infotainment is most probably the worst change in this car.
They should have given you both options like BMW has done

I think S4 has to be faster cause the competitors are getting at least 4.4 nowadays but I doubt that A4 can do 4.8 lol more like 5.2

You laugh but I went from a 2014 S4 to a 2018 S4 to a 2021 A4 and I honestly would say it's... extremely close to the 2014 S4.
It is definitely not as fast as the 2018, though.
Audi Says 4.8 for the 2014 S4, 4.4 for the 2018 S4, and 5.2 for the 2021 A4 45.
Car mags say 4.8 is correct for the A4 45. I believe the 2018 is 4.3 tested and the 2014 is right on 4.8.

Me: Over half the grill is not being used as a grill is intended to be and chrome finishings are for the 2000s, it looks tacky. Don't get me wrong, it looks great but the grill's filled inserts look terrible and the chrome finishes should be either blacked out or gun metal.

Only 261 hp and 4.8 secs to 60? A 300 HP Camry gets to 60 a second slower and weighs hundreds of pounds less. These German companies are hot stuff, always under rating their power by 50% to avoid harsh EU power regulations.

Wow one of the benefits of old Audis is they didn't go towards sticking a huge tablet on the dash. This interior is hideous to me...

That iPad inside sitting on top of dashboard looks so old and so not integrated. Pathetic, and the fake exhausts have to die. And slow.
The exhaust opening is functional I wouldn’t call it fake. The fake ones would be on the 2020 Q5 where the chrome surrounding is sealed off with black plastic and the actual exhaust pipe is under the bumper
