- The new A4 is the most thoroughbred Audi you can buy new today. If we're going by the principles set by Audis of the past. The BMW 3 series, Mercedes C class, Lexus IS and Volvo S60 are its biggest competitors, but there are several others on the verge too. Despite its age, this is still highly competitive with all of those!

The interior of the A4 looks better than the 2023 C class interior.
Fun fact, that big cubby on the left side of the steering wheel is actually designed for umbrellas. But I like the idea of a glock in there more lol

At the bottom of the front bumper, it is not fog lights. It is the sensors for adaptive cruise control.
Ah thank you, I saw these came standard with foglights (there's a button for them inside) and just assumed that was where they were! Now I see they are actually built into the headlight. I'm gonna try to cut that out as to not mislead anyone.

A4 has quality ride much better than Mercedes C class , negative: lack in the turbo in the initial acceleration. But once it began is very powerful.
I thought my 2022 A4 is fully loaded but it doesn't have hands-free/kick trunk open.

The Camry is for a different type of customer tbh. People buy these cars for their comfort, some luxury amenities, and sporty feeling. I have a friend that has a 2018 Lexus IS 350, which is a competitor to this, but now wants to trade it in for a Camry XLE hybrid, because of fuel economy and he thinks it’s luxurious. The Camry feel flimsy in the inside, is FWD, and honestly isn’t as fun to drive compared to a 3 series or a4. To me, choosing a 330i was worth the $14k price increase over a Camry.
I just wish it looked less like a Jetta GLI. Audi did a great job post R8, but now they feel more equivalent to Acura, to me.
I don't really see the similarities in person. I feel that way about the A3 to the GLI but the A4 rides on an entirely different platform. Acura really couldn't compare for the longest time. Now they've stepped it up too but I wouldn't relate the two even now. It's more of a Toyota to Lexus type relationship when it comes to VW and Audi.
I think the previous generation looks better. This one looks too much like the old VW Passat. :_) It's not bad looking by any means.

Just got one and I don't quite like it. It has *nothing new* compared to the previous 2018 model, except that slightly bigger touch-screen; almost everything else in the cockpit is gone, if not the same. The old ergonomic rotating button is gone, as are the quick-access buttons for the radio/media/map/telephone and the handy shortcut buttons. The new touch screen is annoying to use on the road and worse, if you use it long enough (e.g. to type in a destination or to find a place in the map) your shoulder will start hurting from having to hold your arm extended for too long. The SD card and GSM data card sockets in the globe compartment are gone, so you cannot carry your SD media over to the new model; you have to copy your media files to your phone instead which will discharge quicker from higher bluetooth usage when you listen to your music. You can't save the current location as favorite like in the previous model, you can't drive to geographical coordinates. It doesn't even recognize my home address because my house has a compound number, while the old model did!!! Even the cute waving flag to mark the destination is gone and replaced by a fixed one. The steering wheel is borrowed from the old Audi A3, meaning smaller and of lower quality; the car is available only with an Automatic gearbox meaning is rather boring to drive and, despite what they claim, *the DSG is not more fuel-efficient at all* (about 15..20% higher consumption than the previous model with the same engine). The mild-hybrid system does not help either, neither does the fact that they stripped practically all the electronic bells and whistles from the cockpit. The gear selector is a bit unhandy in the sense that it is like a joystick that returns always to the same position, so you have to look constantly at the light indicators instead of feeling the handler when e.g. parking. And the "broken" shoulder line of the body makes the eyes bleed. And so on... But is an Audi, it has good quality, the engine seems quieter and the start/stop is smoother, but with this model you'll get _less_ for _more_ money.

Not as good as the 3 series
Drove 3 4 months ago. What a bucket. Terrible plastics. And I own a Toyota. Same quality for double the price
