Thank you for the review. Best regards from Svarogych, who made this axe.

I found an axe of 1045 steel, forged, great handle for $28. I guess price isn't one of your concerns, it is mine. Sure the tool needs some time with a file and stones...but 28 Dollars!

Hey thanks for the video. Heads up, the audio only plays out of the left channel.

Thanks for the heads up. That's why I haven't advanced much beyond Viking era technology.

Great video I am actually trying to decide between this axe and the kalthoff small carver. Which one do you think?

I dare say they won’t be available now or will get increasingly rare.

Which axe is best for hewing green logs into flat timber ? Assume a single bevel, but cannot find expert advise on best axe. I been advised Gränsfors swedish 1.8kg broad axe, or mueller biber Austrian broad axe. There is also german made stubai 1kg hatchets with offset handle to prevent knuckles hitting log surface during hewing. Any good advice on what to look for. I think axe bit cutting edge should be 7 inches and slightly curved. There are also English Kent head axes, but these are flat. 🙏 thanks.

Nice for the review Tom. But as an axe-junkie, now I need to look at another- thanks a lot! (sub'd)

$212.48 USD. Heck I dont pay that much for my Gransfors. Folks today think $200 is cheap? Smaller should not be more money yet it always is. Its less materials for one and not as useful for other tasks. The worlds idea of cost is broken.
