I always love how you decorate. As a person who has owned several faux trees, I recommend buying 2 giant tubs. 1/2 the tree in each so you don't squish it as much & it keeps the branches looking great too. Over the years the branches will just start looking sad.
I completely understand the obsession with holiday decorating! This is the first year I actually bought decorations, and I’m trying to find the restraint to wait until December 1st to start decorating. I’m afraid I’ll get tired of it quickly. 😅

Mom in law was diagnosed with cancer this past June so it’s been really depressing this year. She’s staying with us for her treatment so I’m pulling all the stops to make this a happy and cheerful holiday season for us. Thanks for the lovely inspiration MaCenna!!

I feel that most UA-camrs put themselves under the pressure to buy new decorations thinking that's what we the viewers want. I can't speak for others, but for myself I don't care if they buy new decorations or not. I'm just there to watch them decorate. I don't need to see a haul. You know what I think most of us viewers would like more than hauls? A story about favorite Christmas items UA-camrs already own. I love you being so excited about that Kinsley ornament you made. My parents have a switch that flips on most of their stuff, but I personally don't need one--I have everything set on a light-sensitive timer so they go on even if I forget. You also want plugs for doing projects outside too, so that's great that he noticed.

When I moved it was a few days before Christmas. The first thing I did was change the toilet seat, change the door locks and put up Christmas lights in the windows. I love decorating.

I too have the stars from IKEA. I found that if you purchase the flameless battery operated votive size candles, you can eliminate the wires. I put the candles in a little plastic bag so I could slide it through the wire and then they are hanging inside the star towards the middle. I purchased the candles with the remote control. I now have them hanging in a tree outside. It created such a cozy moment in the yard.
For garland that sits on the mantel or down a staircase, I love using the battery operated fairy lights that you can get at Target. To make the box stay put you can put the velcro stickers on it to make sure it wont fall off.
Can you and Lone Fox do another thrift flip collab? Maybe make it a holiday decor themed one? You're both my favorite and I love seeing the teamwork. Such great ideas! Good luck on the cottage! Can't wait to see it manifest this December!! ❤
We’re traveling over T-Day and I want to get the house decorated for Christmas prior to us leaving. It’s so nice coming home to a new season and Christmas is my favorite time of the year. Living in Alaska it’s like living in a snow globe and I love it!!
When we built our house I made sure we had plugs in the soffits for outside Christmas lights AND one laying flat on our fireplace mantel. Makes things so much easier!

When my parents built their newest home, we moved in on Christmas eve - the first thing in the house was the Christmas Tree and the ornaments, and while they moved in the couches and mattresses, I decorated. By the time all was said and done for the day, we had our mattresses in our bedrooms, our clothes in our dressers, thr couches, the plates, mugs, and utensils we intended to use for Christmas, and a decorated living space. That was all. The rest waited until after the holidays.
"Darling, did you put up the tree yet?" "Yes, I just unfolded it!" 😂 Being from Germany, I have actually never watched anyone putting up an artificial tree. Most people over here use real trees. But I guess, thats a good thing. Real trees are felled just to sit in someones living room for a couple of weeks and then they're discarded :(
I used to only have real tree because the artificial ones were so bad when I was growing up, but now the artificial trees look so good. I have two of them and I love them. They are far more sustainable as it is a shame to grow and cut trees for just a couple of weeks. My first artificial tree was an expensive one that I bought from a store supply company as I wanted an 8ft one. Think I paid about £160 for it which was a lot of money 30 years ago, but it has paid for itself over the years as it still looks as good as when I bought it because it was such a quality tree.

You might want to not do a 12 foot tree…then there won’t be room for a topper. But perhaps an 8-10ft tree? But knowing you and thorough you are, you will definitely catch that.
Looks like a magazine spread! My fiance and I are getting married next year, and he just bought his first place last year. I surprised him with a little tree last year, but we have no other decor. I didnt grow up Christian, and I didn't have a tree. I did have a partner that did grow up Christian, and I began decorating, but the compromise was we keep it "winter neutral", with the addition of a tree. I appreciate your design because (to me), taking away the tree and the stockings, overall it reads very "winter holiday", and that is very relatable to someone like me that may want to decorate, but does not follow a more traditional Christmas decorating theme. It looks beautiful and cozy, enjoy!
Also an amazing idea I found on tiktok is having a plug on your kitchen porch near your door.. if you plug a bath and body works wallflower in their it makes it smell soooooo good for your guests as they walk up.

I'd like to suggest buying or making an advent calendar for your family members and kinsley. I doesn't have to be super expensive, it could be just like snack or candy that you like, a new flavor of tea, small gifts that you know the other would like. For kinsley it would be like a different treat or toy, etc.

I didnt grow up Christian, and I didn't have a tree. I did have a partner that did grow up Christian, and I began decorating, but the compromise was we keep it "winter neutral", with the addition of a tree. I appreciate your design because (to me), taking away the tree and the stockings, overall it reads very "winter holiday", and that is very relatable to someone like me that may want to decorate, but does not follow a more traditional Christmas decorating theme. It looks beautiful and cozy, enjoy!

I LOVE LOVE watching vlogmas! My family doesn't really celebrate all that much, but I get to live vicariously through you! I'd like to suggest buying or making an advent calendar for your family members and kinsley. I doesn't have to be super expensive, it could be just like snack or candy that you like, a new flavor of tea, small gifts that you know the other would like. For kinsley it would be like a different treat or toy, etc.
