- What up people! It’s time for a new comedy Special. Welcome to The Crowd Work Special. Still Uncensored, Still Unfiltered, Still Unsafe and now Unscripted. We filmed it in Washington DC at the incredible DC Improv. Special thanks to the staff, management and owners for helping us make this happen.
As a comic it’s my job to push the limits of my craft. Every special I do I want to push comedy forward into the next phase. I think we accomplished that here. I hope you feel the same way.

That is a great point, did not even think of it. You have to make sure the interaction ends positively, with no animosity, in order to lay the ground for what's to come. Has to stay accepting...

What I love about this guy is how he is actually quite educated, eloquent and really enjoys his jokes. The audience is just there for the ride in the process.

I like that he doesn't pounce on every word the heckler says. He clarifies, streamlines and organizes their thoughts, and then tears it apart.

@@strawhatboy4360 Cleans it up, kind of. Takes out the unnecessary/extra bits and keeps the important parts that contain the main point(s) the heckler was making.
Buys him time to sort out his own also, old trick I reckon.
So on point. And he is so good that he can turn the “unnecessary bit” into a punchline. Like when the girl said “fuck you” I thought he was going to cut it off but he stayed on track.

Just did a rewatch after seeing the new special. What boss. He brings everyone together to laugh. Gotta respect what he's learnt about different cultures, it's impressive. Hats off to the man that does this for everyone.
I love this dude, as far as I'm concerned he's going to go down in history among the greatest comedians right up there with George Carlin, Robin Williams, Bernie Mac, Bob saget, and Richard Pryor and all the others I didn't take the time to mention.

Genuienly some of the best crowd work I’ve seen from any comedian. Dude had the audience in his hand and they never left it.
Schulz speaking as “Rebecca’s” brain, telling her to breathe, and then making her snort as punishment for not listening to him the first time, is one of THE FUNNIEST off-the-cuff bits I’ve ever witnessed IN MY LIFE. And I watch an embarrassingly large amount of stand up.

andrew schulz has really made me enjoy and appreciate stand up comedy lately. i always knew ab the big ones growing up but never really appreciated them enough. glad i found schulz and can watch him throughout his career and hopefully come to a show sometime soon🔥

It was very obviously multiple crowds but they stitched it together almost seamlessly. You can tell because the people in the audience change haha

I don't think he'll ever do stadiums, that's not his way. He'll just get better and I'm sure he's learning from Chappelle and in a few years he might take Netflix money for a few specials but he might not want or need to take it, he's built himself so he's more his own man than most in his profession.
He's already in the top 10% of comedians, give him another 10 years and he'll be even better, he's definitely worth keeping an eye out for, he's a funny muthafucka.

Everyone is rightly talking about how funny this is but what really impresses me is this moment 32:55 where the audience member says "Fuck you" and the audience reacts but Schulzy knew what she meant and deescalates and keeps it moving.

We saw 35 mins of freestyle comedy. But there were three different crowds or even four. That's up to 4 hours of pure genius. When he was in Canada he did 11 shows in a row. It's beyond me

He still had to know exactly when to pull it out, not to mention the hundreds of other jokes he has to be ready to drop at any moment depending on the situation.
As a Sikh , I am very impressed that he knew about Sikh History and traditions and then made a joke on it because most of people outside India don't know much about Sikhs and generally their jokes are a bit racist .
I could just imagine somebody coming to the comedy club that night and seeing this guy for the first time and then talking to their friend the next day like, "Yo, I went to this comedy show last night and there was this guy that didn't tell any jokes, he just roasted the entire crowd for like thirty minutes. It was fuckin' hilarious, bro!"

That’s not what happened. He filmed like 6 shows and this is a compilation of all the crowd work. He only did like 10 mins of crowd each set and then the other 50 minutes he did regular joke.
