We recorded a let’s play series of this a while ago. Thank you for the explanation, I love Charon’s game and seeing an analysis of what happened.
Your videos are so well made!! Saw your pocket mirror one a while ago and now I'm on a binging spree!
So happy you’re liking them, I appreciate the support!
its pretty deep that the worst situation results from the player willingly choosing to drink strawberry milk, I think it's a valuable life lesson
Man thanks for going in depth for this game! It was a really important part of my childhood.
I really wanna try and mimick the feel of these games, with my own visual novels. I'm gonna write more about this but just, thank you!
And your voice is really soothing♡
This really means a lot! I loved this game so much growing up as well, it was my memories of it that encouraged me to make a video on it. If you ever make visual novels with an atmosphere like Charon’s games, I’d be happy to check them out!
I should note that, because I neglected to look over the readme attached with the game until a bit after I completed my recordings, there were some notes on the translation choices made in the game.
Most notably, the translators were aware that the name "Mix au lait" was a possibility, but chose not to go with it. In other words, it wasn't necessarily a mistake, but an attempt to play it safe. Essentially, the name contains three parts. The "mix", the "au lait", and the "ore" (which just translates to "me"). It seemingly wasn't possible to include all three parts in a cohesive fashion.
The second thing to note is that Rikana's last name, "Milliefiori", was also a rough translation. According to the readme, Rikana's drink likely translated to "milky milk" and her name was altered to go more in line with honey milk (this ruins my joke but I like too much to remove it!).
After even FURTHER research I found some evidence that points to her last name possibly being Millhiore (supposedly an Italian honey), but I can't say for certain.
Regardless, props to the translators who worked to bring Charon's games to us. Without them, we wouldn't have been able to experience games like Mix Ore.
hey sorry to invade your comments but I gotta say you got good taste in music I listened the "The best video game music Playlist" Its awesome
@@Colorstormfur Aw, thank you! I am always happy to hear people enjoy using that playlist-it’s something I’m very proud of!
hey bro i hope its not too much to ask but i was wondering if you'd be willing to add just a few of my songs onto your youtube gaming playlist.
As in suggestions or...your music? If you mean yours, is it VGM?
its my own music@@Shelltoast
@@VZX.1 If it's not VGM, I don't think you're looking in the right place. That playlist was made to catalogue my favorite video game music. I don't add non-game music to it.
Oh ok @@Shelltoast
