I remember seeing Star Wars for the first time at the movie theater when I was a kid in the seventies. The Cantina Band was one of my favorite scenes. The original movie had a longer performance. I wish they would have not edited this out in later versions.
They have a Star Wars themed bar in Disney Land, but it’s modeled on the one in Episode VII-the one owned by Lupita Nyong’o’s character with the goggles.
In my home city there is a bar more or less similar to this here. Every thursday, they hire a couple of local bands and musicians to play some ambience and/or give actual concerts and every act lasts for about 30-60 minutes. It's quite hit and miss wether the music is actually good, but usually if you stay for more than one act, you'll have a very good time.
I always wondered what that person was doing down there. Dropped keys? Contact lens? Looking for loose change? I was 7 years old when this movie was new, so nobody make any NSFW comments lol.

It’s because droids (to be more specific separatist droids) used to threaten everyone’s survival. Though there are probably some races that did the same, not to mention all the war criminals they DO serve. So idk.

All the people know star wars movies now, but the scene's originality has always been for many looks that probably some people never seen, so I think that this scene of cantina was the one scene most cared among many others, because a thing very difficult is not to see act the actors, because individually you can see the expression and movements of face or body, but the things more hard is to see act people inside a suite of an alien and follow particular choreographies not so much easies.

First alien you see in this video with yellow eyes is : First to pop up their head in the cantina is Hem Dazon, a member of the Arcona species, identified by their T-shaped head and gold shimmering eyes. Detailed in reference books, Dazon was a grumpy Arcona who became stranded on Tattooine after spending all his credits. Dazon can also be seen sitting around with other alien patrons of the cantina, one in particular is a Siniteen male, named Pons Limbic, seen with his brain shaped head. Both species would also be incorporated into characters in the animated series The Clone Wars (2008). In Season 3, Episode 1 titled Clone Cadets, the episode features a group of clones in boot camp, with two bounty hunters turned instructors training the clones, Bric, a Siniteen, and El-Les, an Arcona.
