In June 2017, The Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR) aired a concert called “Galaxymphony” performed by The Danish National Symphony Orchestra /DR SymfoniOrkestret, the two choirs Hymnia and Camarata with various soloists conducted by Anthony Hermus.
The concert was hosted by legendary TV host Jakob Stegelmann and featured music from a variety of sci-fi movies including Star Wars.

When I was younger I used to think “It’s a shame we can never hear this song outside of the Star Wars movie because we don’t have the instruments invented yet to play the song” it wasn’t till I was like 10, But I remembered it was a movie and Real instruments had to be used to make it in the first place
This is the same child logic as the reviewer Linkara, who didn't know what actors were, so he thought every movie he watched with an actor, starred the same character.

It’s especially hard to ignore a crowd full of off-beat clapping if you’re playing a quartet
The audience is clapping *on* the beat, which is wrong for this style of music. It would be fine for a march, though. The orchestra musicians are correctly snapping their fingers on the offbeats, or backbeats.

It is probably also that the audience is clapping correctly but the recording is not set up for that so it lags.
But man, not only the sax guy is rocking hard, just listen to that tubist - believe me, playing tuba so freakin fast is no joke! Credits to the whole orchestra!
Actually I'm playing the tuba and yeah he'S doin a great job, but this isn't so hard, there are song where even I have to play like a freaking trumpet

it's probably because the capture microphones are too out-of-place to properly capture their beat. It happens all the time in large theaters and arenas.
I feel your pain, seems like people clap on the upbeat everywhere I go.
bruh this is a jazz piece and in jazz pieces bass drums drum on one and three so the audience is clapping in with the bass drum
Robert 22 Exactly, a clap does the job of a snare. So it’s like hitting the snare every beat or hitting the snare beats 1 and 3
speeddemon847 It's more likely due to the speed of sound. If you've ever been to a baseball game you'll see the bat hit the ball first, then sometime later you'll hear the sound. Same thing happens in concert venues. In situations where the audience is super engaged and raises their hands to the beat, you can even see the sound waves make their way to the back of the stadium. Look up Queen at Live Aid and you can see that sound wave in action!

Which makes the Buddy Rich band all the more amazing. The band was MISERABLE under Buddy's harsh leadership, but man their music was GREAT.

The only completely non-serious and even silly piece of music in the whole trilogy. Deliberately placed, as within the next few minutes we see what a light saber and a blaster can really do.
Considering the day I had, I stumbled across the Danish National Symphony. I went through Imperial March, the Main theme and Duel of the Fates. I was hesitant to look at the Cantina Band because I thought they couldn't do it justice, even though what I saw so far was brilliant. The Cantina Band was brilliant! Literally I shed a tear, a few tears, watching this. It was so fun. Just what I needed after today.
Band Member: "Thank you! We've been the cantina band, if you have any requests shout them out!"
Band Member: *hides mouth* "Play that same song!"
Band Member " Alright! Same song, here we go!"

The audience is actually NOT clapping wrong or offbeat. It's due to the speed of sound (340 m/s). For instance, if the average audience member is, say, 60m away from the stage, the microphones on stage pick up the clapping sound with a delay of 2*60/340 = 0.35 second. That's enough to be disturbing.
Why can't they just sit and listen and enjoy it without clapping at all? It's not that difficult. :-)

It's Amazing that this movie gave us 3 timeless songs... The main theme, The Imperial March, and The Cantina scene... you can identify the movie/series, from any one of those(and probably any of the ancillary numbers). This score was simply amazing!

The Imperial March wasn't until Empire...have to nitpick a bit. Ben's Death/TIE Attack was another one that introduced theme that were used throughout the entire series as well.

Lmafo its a thing in jazz its supposed to be upbeat and off. A jazz band came by my School once and performed and told us clapping off beat is quite normal in jazz. Now i suggest you go to Twitter because thats a place you Can say anything.
