@@zzr7107 For the GB version people never bothered to play and optimize the JP version, I just did it because it had a different weapon and made the gameplay feel different. Each weapon have their advantages but no one every truly optimized the JP version, the latest TAS I've seen is from the JP version, which beat the previous US version by about 24 seconds. However it uses current speedrun strats the older TAS never did, so it's still hard to tell which version is truly faster unless someone makes an updated TAS with the Axe weapon. Whenever I speedrun NES games for example I usually try and compare US vs JP version to see if there are any major differences, most of the time JP version has faster text, or in some cases like Tom and Jerry for NES, the JP version heals you after each section, making the game much easier. As for the GBC versions of Castlevania, not sure why more people never tried them out.
Mega Rayquaza911 Nice. I’ve been slowly learning this game. And I’m unsure if I want to learn the American or jp run first. ...I really wish the anniversary collection had the gbc version on it:/ Anyways thanks for your help👍
@@zzr7107 If you're playing on the AC version, I think Belmont's Revenge runs just a tad faster, I don't think the time difference will be that significant in the end. It's just the way Konami made their emulators for those games, they aren't exactly accurate, but since they're technically official releases they are allowed on the boards. The Adventure for some reason runs much faster, my time was destroyed in that game.

Not as fast as compared to The Adventure gbc vs gb. But slightly faster.
