As I was watching your video…I noticed so many clear glass vases just like at my Goodwill stores…Anyway…Did you know if people would donate their clear glass vases to their local florist shop it would help their business so much by getting those floral vases?…so I’ve always donated my clear glass vases to the florist shops in town instead of donating them to Goodwill… Believe me the florists love and use them…I think it’s called recycling!🤗
That's good to know. Also, some people get their vases from thrift stores for their wedding decorations.
That is a great idea! Really liked your comment on helping local businesses - they are so important to our communities! 💐🪴
That really is a great idea! I'd much rather donate it to a local florist than padding Goodwill's pockets. I'm going to keep that in mind for the future. Thanks so much for sharing that!
One of our local florists will give you flowers in return for your vases.
Ah….clear glass. “ ‘Bout time!!!!!!!!”, said the clear glass lover in me. When I use to do lamp working, I didn’t feel like my beads were complete unless they were cased. Long time subber, even when you’d blow past the clear glass that was screaming out to be loved. Enjoy your channel immensely.
Helloooooo! Everyone. Happy Friday
Hi, to you, too! 👋👋 Have a great weekend! 😊
Yawn!
The clear glasshol with multiple place for eggs is tealights. This are very popular all over the Nordic countries.
I'm Danish and i have never seen them before.
The Moravian tile factory is in Doylestown, PA. If you go, don't miss two other local attractions: the Mercer Museum and Fonthill Castle. The museum has several floors of unique vintage industrial occupational themes. Fonthill Castle is the brainchild of an eccentric bachelor who used his aunt's money to tile every room and hallway from floor-to-ceiling (plus floor AND ceiling!) with millions of little tiles that tell stories and form elaborate mosaics. Each room has a different theme and the tiles are amazing.
That sounds so neat! I’ll have to visit sometime.
@@CrazyLampLady I think the tile factory and the castle are on adjacent properties, too!
@@CrazyLampLady Definitely worth the trip.
That clear glass with the pointed bottoms is a tea light holder. I guess you could use it for eggs. LoL
7:19 Look out for the Poo on the shelf !!
I know I lmao!
She didn't even notice.
Nooooo! One doing that is enough😮
that tin plate is a VERMEER portrait, it is a famous painting from VERMEER. But they made it in the tin plate, the woman is making a doily (kanten klossen) there a still people in our country (the Netherlands) who do this art.
Someone sneezed as you were looking at the Blue Sky piece. I said Bless You. My son laughed and asked me if I was talking to You Tubers again. I cannot help it. Do it every time.
Me too! LOL
😂
Raku is only decorative. It isn't food safe and it won't hold water because it isn't fired hot enough. I love your appreciation of pottery!
Does anyone else see the 4 blue glasses on upper shelf at 4:46 that look like Tiffin Franciscan Madeira glasses?
Ah, she found them!!!
I spotted those right away and I was just going to leave a message. I can’t believe she passed those up. Those are amazing.
She just picked them up thank goodness❤
Laurels antics!! Too funny! She’s so smart to figure out the gate breakout 😂😂
At 13:08 you touch a little cup. That’s a Hermes nespresso mug for the holidays and they sell for up to 40-60 bucks. So I highly recommend nabbing it if it’s still there.
I watched a programme called the great pottery throw down here in the UK. One episode showed the potters making vases using Raku. Gosh the fire!! Absolutely astonishing!
Pretty sure the pots she picked up weren’t Raku - probably a craft project
That show was fantastic. Sad they don't make any more episodes
@@elynnm3016 just Googled the series, there is indeed a 2024 in production. Looking forward to watching it.
It must be all those Waterford and Lalique pieces you have been picking up lately... drawing you further into exploring the clear aisle😉
Have you ever tried putting trace paper overr a signature and rub a penil over it to get a better look at it!?
great idea! I tried it with regular paper one day out of desperation. It didn’t really work. I didn’t even think of using trace paper even though I used it a million times when I was a kid. 🤦♀️ Thanks for reminding me of its existence. I’m doing it!!
I love clear glass, goes with everything!
I’m the one who has written about my fierce reactions when I see Stangl passed up. Now you did it and I wish you well!
Omg ! I’m in ❤ with that vintage bike it even has that light that you have to peddle for it to light up
Ok
At 1:30 those are German crystal Villroy and Boch votive candle holders. Not egg cups. There are two and they go for around 100 each.
That store is so well organized unlike the ones in our area. Makes the items stand out and so easy to pick out what you are interested in.
The swan vase is from Mikasa. I remember buying it in the 90's.
Yay...finally some Stangl nice enough to pick up!!
I love Stangl! It is so unappreciated and so undervalued.
I do not ever resale I'm a loving odd cups bowl plates my mother in law thinks it's wrong to shop at a thrift store and doesn't like my odd china random plates cups but I love thriftying you keep doing you life makes it happeier
I live in Bucks County. The tiles have a cult following
Those were votive holders. They also come as a set of two or three.
Glad to see another one of your videos
Another dinosaur egg cup! 🤣🙄 Great find, Jocelyn. ✋✋
Thanks for the video. I’ll catch you on the next one.
Even in the thumbnail, I knew that was the Stangle child set. Stangle is highly underrated today. It is heavy to ship, their birds are quite nice. Their patterns are true Mid Century Modern pieces.
I have a beautiful set of 5 cups listed that have had no interest. I maybe should End and List Similar.
@@brendatomlinson What pattern?
Some clear glass like that is very elegant!
I really like stangl
I live the way you put matching items together on the shelf. I do the same 😊
Love the hobby pieces looked well done.
That (maybe) 6x eggcup at 01:30 would have been perfect for a friend of mine. In his teens, he’d have 6 boiled eggs for breakfast most days!
The creamer at 2:15 says Shanagarry. It’s handmade by Shanagarry Potters (aka Stephen Pearce Pottery) in Ireland. I have some pieces from that range - actually, I’m drinking some tea from one of my Shanagarry mugs as I write this😁
The Raku at 11:45 looks like it’s hobbyist pieces. I did a pottery course some years back and these are very similar to what we produced.
Love your gentle search .. hope the new babysitter works out!!!
That little tea light matched your nail polish! It’s cute.
Fridays are for CLL videos!!🎉🎉🧡🧡
Train plate and cup so adorable 😊
was wondering why they cover the markings on the bottom when they know people want to see it?
That is an age-old question that's never been answered! Yes it's frustrating!
It's a middle finger to resellers
The color over the signature on that plaque was a great idea. I am going to start doing pencil rubbings on pottery I can't read
Look at you loving the clear glass!!! I love it!!
Enjoy your videos and your knowledge of everything
What fun shopping. There are always interesting things to find at Goodwill. Please Stay Safe Happy and Healthy Have A Wonderful Day
nice to see the cool stuff,
take care all
I like little bowls like the Raku to put on my dresser. I have tons of jewelry friends and customers have bought me. So, I put the rings, necklaces etc in little bowls that I wear the most.
Oooo love the racing greyhound stoneware mug
You missed out on that Viking Bull's Eye, those are rare and at least $100.
Where in the video time? I found it🙂
I personally love clear glass and/or clear crystal, as long as it’s good quality!😊
The crystal thing which you speculated were egg cups hold votive candles.
I find it fascinating to watch you choose your items, and listen to you describe each piece.
Love your voice it makes watching enjoyable
Love the deep blue glasses….my fave color!
Aww best of luck w the new sitter.
I wish I could find the candy dish with the statuette in top
We used to have that years ago and bring me childhood memory
The blue guy is Jacob Marley from The Christmas Carol. I have him and Scrooge. Early 90's.
I have that crystal star candle holder! I need it's match!
i have two of them, but they are both chipped… my fault😢 and i live in germany… shipping costs are very high😅
Also I like the way you say prices even at antique stores.
I.missed this one and decided to watch tonight, when you pulled a piece that I just bought and am going to put on my table..Those "egg cups" are Villeroy and Boch tea lights holder value from $50 + I have an MCM home and thought the Bottoms were cool
Even though I like colored glass… some clear glass is very elegant and rich looking
Love the greyhound mug
Me too, as I sit here with my beautiful rescue greyhound!
Thanks 😊
Loved the train set!! It could have been made by anyone & I’d still love it!❤
Ooooo the bullseye would do well on whatnot. Highly collectible.
Looked like a piece of Fenton Vaseline glass @ 6:28 the opalescent maybe? Hard to tell with the lighting...color looks spot on though. Maybe a dessert dish?
Nice finds today
It is very calming to shop with you at a quiet Goodwill. Thanks for the video.
The raku could be used for candleholders
Great finds…
I believe the word is “spent” as in “total spent.” 😀. Thanks for all you do ❤️
Not the first time seeing Poo on the shelf.
Congratulations on the sitter❤
12:14 There is one half of a suspension bridge bookend. It gets pushed aside to reach for a cup. I thought it looked pretty wonderful! Thoughts anyone?
I like clear glass. I like colored glass, too.
I used to be a nursery nurse and on weekends I would look after the children if the parents had to work or go away with work
What about that white vase with the beaded bottom and leaf looking pattern at 4:43?
The little cup at 12:35 might be a tea cup? I have a Tazo (starbucks) tea cup that's a similar style, but a little bigger
2:11 isn’t that the Brady Bunch horse that was in their living room?
The 3-piece raku "set" is student work. First year by the looks of it.
Frame 1:32 I don't remember what that glass piece is called, but its something special. ( I think, could be wrong, lol )
Hope Laurel is doing well with the new nanny. That separation anxiety stage can be tough!
My grandson just started being the shy guy. He is only two and was never like that before. He takes longer to warm up to family he hasn’t seen in a while, breaks their heart! She’ll get used to her sitter, and I bet the sitter loves her already! Good luck!
I would never use a sitter that my child did not warm up to right away. I would be shopping with Laural in tow and cut my hours to spend time with her. Time flies fast, and you never get it back. No one can love your child like you, and even parents are evil sometimes, I just can't imagine trusting a stranger with my children or grandchildren.
@@texasjones9541 Time definitely flies by fast! I was lucky and was home for four years while my kids were little. Happy Mother’s Day to you!
@@stephanieevans6542 Happy Mothers Day to you!
For whatever reason the video was to blurry to see anything most likely on my end I'll try it again later love watching ur videos tho keep on keeping on😊
You know the stuff here in Dayton, Ohio for the Goodwill’s looks nothing compared to your stores in Pennsylvania.
I’m in Dayton too and have to agree somewhat. I haven’t been to a Goodwill in over a year since I have loads of my own stuff to list and sell. I always find stuff at the GW in the Oregon District or Valley Thrift on Woodman. Oakwood GW isn’t too shabby either. 😉
So funny u said clear glass I see u when just seconds before I was thinking out loud and said clear glass I can't see U! Lol
You didn’t pick up the POO at 7:20?
Right after she talks about the brown drip, immature but made me giggle.(don't judge me, I have 3 boys so...🤷♀️).
@@annmariephillips7287🤣🤣🤣
I love CLL any night but, especially the night before garage sales! Lol! Bonus points for being at GW! 💜🫶🏼💜🫶🏼💜🫶🏼
My friends and I donate our faces to the hospital auxiliary. They make small floral arrangements and sell them for people to take to the patients. Then the money is used for hospital supplies
My silly automated phone. obviously the word should be vases, not faces
@@nancychannel8513🤣🤣
Thank you for clearing that up. I was staring at the screen cocking my head like a dog trying to figure that out😂
😅😅😅😅
Quick commenting tip: You can touch the three little dots at the upper right of your comment so it gives you the option to edit or even delete that comment. That feature has saved my embarrassment many a time when voice text does n 15:32 ot say what I thought it should. 😮😂😊
The item you thought was a bookend might be a corner finial? There were used a lot in old houses.
Rub talc across the stamps and marks on pieces you can’t make out! They stand out with talc.
12:05 Raku pottery - Because Raku pottery is porous, it's not food safe. However, there are glazing techniques to make it food safe but you are correct, usually raku is for decor only. 👍
I’m pretty sure the little pinch pots she picked up were not raku, just a craft project.
Your egg cups could be for tea lights?
smart baby to use her wagon like that
I love the single bookend. I use singles often. 😮
I think the little mint green guy is Marley from scrooge
Happy friday right back at you
Not a bad trip considering. I think as good a baby as Laurel is she could be trouble. Ha. Everytime you pick up a bell, I miss Andrew singing "ring my bell"
You have mentioned that you have trouble determining whether crystal glass is good crystal or not.
Hold the piece in your hands. Size for size, lead glass is heavier. Hold up to the light and look at the color. Glass is clear, but can have a slight yellow cast because of the silica used. Leaded glass has a gray, slightly lavender, cast. The deeper the gray, the more lead used. 24% is good, Waterford, 32% is the best, Baccarat. The price point is a clue of the quality.
The better quality will have either an engraved mark, Steuben or etched mark, Lalique.
Thank you for explaining this! I learned something new today!!
They are not egg cups it’s a tea light holder made by Jl John Lewis . I have one .
Your online at the same time as me ! Eeek 😂
Pretty sure the blue guy was Marly from Christmas Carol.
