The Flow of War: Oleksii Samsonov on Water and War

This project, by Ukrainian photojournalist Oleksii Samsonov, explores the role of water in relation to the events of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. In his film, Oleksii focuses not only on drinking water scarcity and quality, but also mined beaches, destroyed dams and bridges, flooded villages and mountain rivers.
In this video, Oleksii Samsonov talks about negotiating agreements to film in restricted areas, time constraints and the future of the project.
