Sasha Dolhyi on Museums and War

Museum and War, a project by independent writer and director Sasha Dolhyi, is a documentary film about the evacuation of the Khanenko Musuem in Kyiv and the establishment of the museum’s temporary collection. Even though initially the filming of the evacuation was not allowed, Sasha tried to document as much of the process as possible.
In this video, Sasha Dolhyi talks about how one handles voluminous data, the functioning of museums amid war, and how to define a museum.
