Its a nice touch that rods titan could not stand up on its own considering that right before he transforms, He had broke his back. Thats why his titan was crawling instead of walking aswell and why it needed the support of the wall to stand straight.
Also, it's too heavy. You can see the collosal titan has a different shape to account for the extra weight, much wider legs relative to its body size. The Rod titan didn't even have that psychology to deal with the extra weight and given it was twice the height and thus around eight times the weight of the collosal, it may not have been able even to stand up if it had the right shape.
It may also have been due to the fact it wasn’t injected as to why his titans form was so weird compared to the others if you remember he licked it off the ground.
I doubt that. I think everyone (who can turn into Titan) has different Titan build, size. I also dont think human form current physique affect titan form.

I don't particularly like theAttack Titan's roar. The Female titan's (why is it called this way by the way ? It's not like being female has anything to do with its powers) roar to attract pure titans was sick imo though.
