- In efforts to stay away from the grocery stores the past couple of days, I tried one of the most expensive meal prep services in my city to see if it was worth it! I ordered 3 days worth of meals which included breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack each day. Everyday was something different. I even got a few vegan meals.
Each day I review my meals by taste, creativity, volume for the calories and overall enjoyment. Alongside the food review, I show you my go-to at home leg workout that I've been using during the coronavirus lockdown. No equipment needed! Just a backpack!

Couldn't be further from the truth. If you're hungry on keto, you're doing it wrong. I used to be controlled by my hunger hormones, I felt physically weak if I didn't eat soon after feeling the first hunger pangs. Ever since switching to keto, true keto where I only eat a small amount of complex carbs everyday, enough protein, and then mostly fat, I've been able to do 20/4 fasts or even full day fasts without any problems. Hunger? I hardly knew her!

Next challenge : same $160 spent on those 3 days but buy groceries and see how many meals you can accomplish, you could do probably a weeks worth of food that fits macros and has variety.

But seriously I live in a low cost of living area, shop mostly at aldi's, mostly buy staples like rice, dried beans and lentils, whole chicken, eggs, flaxseed, garlic and onions, etc. Learn how to use seasonings to make anything delicious. Don't eat meat at every meal there are much cheaper sources of protein. Keep an eye out for cheap in season produce at grocery stores, the farmers market, and local produce stands that pop up occasionally. Cheese and red meat are luxuries. If I lived in an urban area I'd shop at international grocers.

I know this is a year ago, but I do think a good idea for one of these types of videos would be to take the recipes you've ordered and then repeat them in your own kitchen to see if your own version is better, because sure these may be convenient but they are excessively expensive and obviously not great quality in terms of enjoyment of food.

Really, though, my students are using a meal service called Yumble and in all seriousness it is overpriced and the meals are simply too small. At least with your kits the portions look fair.

@Jacob King do you still use every plate? I was using them during the beginning of the quarantine but then it started getting bad the produce was always spoiled and they constantly were forgetting things in my box
That leg workout is super good for long distance running/hiking. Something similar to it once a week is usually the only strength training ultra running plans recommend.

Love that you did this and all of your other content, but on a side note: I've never understood people who use services like this- I too enjoy making my own food and you can be so much more creative and high volume/low calorie when you prepare food for yourself! I will always be a cook for myself person- just like you, it's a part of my daily routine and habits and over time I came to genuinely enjoy it.

This is so legit how I brought in any bags or packages ! We have an enclosed porch wed clorox wiped and then left to air out for a half hour before taking them inside- two outta 3 of us have immune system disorders so we lived like that for a solid year

For burritos and wrapped items you should always microwave for the time instructed then let sit for five minutes, then microwave for another minute or so to fully warm it. Tightly packed foods don't microwave well so always need a resting period to let the heat move around.
I've thought about trying some of the meal prep services, but they are all simply just too expensive. I am losing weight and I think they'd be good for that given the general small portions. This service has some decent looking varieties that most seem to lack.
