    ►Help For Travellers
If you are travelling around Paphos and would like some hints about where to go, take a look at our eBook Travel Guides.
    ▬ The Kathikas - Panagia Loop ▬
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.

▬ Paphos Coast To Coast ▬
Explore traditional villages, visit a shipwreck and some ancient sea caves, and have a swim or a paddle in some of the lovely beaches. And once you have done it, do it again in reverse, to finish it off with some spectacular sunsets.

▬ Kato and Pano Pyrgos ▬
Do you want to see a part of Cyprus that is loved by the locals but virtually unkown to international tourists? Then let me take you on a trip to Kato and Pano Pyrgos. Located on the North Coast of Cyprus, and on the coast road from Polis and Pomos, these two villages are packed full of charm and some lovely beaches. Throw in some abandoned villages and beautiful countryside, and you have all the makings of a fantastic day out. In this guide we show you how to get there from Paphos and Polis, before taking you on a tour of the area itself

▬ The North Paphos Coast ▬
The North Coast of Paphos is one of Cyprus' hidden gems. In this, our fourth Cyprus Road Trip eBook, we explore the area between Polis and Pachyammos. This includes the delightful Pomos Harbour, the mysterious Dragon Cave Beach, and the ancient Gialia Monastery. Not to mention numerous villages, churches and reservoirs. So come with us and experience a slice of authentic Cyprus life.

▬ Ayia Napa, Protaras and Paralimni ▬
The East of Cyprus is famous for its sandy beaches and party lifestyle, but there is so much more to it than that. In this road trip we take you around Ayia Napa, Protaras and Paralimni. We also visit Cape Greco and numerous beaches along the way, as well as other interesting attractions. We even have time to take in the new Marina. The route is circular, beginning and ending at the Sculpture Park in Ayia Napa. If you are based in Protaras or Paralimni you can start in those towns and jump to the appropriate point. We do however recommend coming to the Sculpture Park and starting there, as it is best viewed either in the morning or evening.

Lovely drive, wish I had a proper 4x4! I live on a hill close to Episkopi, so it’s great to see the surrounding landscape.

You are a star. Thank you very much for the contribution.
Not this Friday but next Friday I will publish the 360 version of this route. It lasts 45 minutes and goes all the way to Foinikas. You can rotate the camera in the 360 version so who knows, you may even be able to see your house!

    Interesting drive with beautiful scenery.
    Enjoy the coffees Dominic.
What camera settings do you use for your driving and walking videos (e.g. 4k/50, 4k/25, 5.3K/60, 10-bit or 8-bit colour, HDR etc.)? Is the footage straight from the camera or do you colour grade it when editing?

Thank you very much for the coffees. Being in Europe, I use 50 as opposed to 60. 8-bit colour is fine unless I am shooting at night. If it is sunny I will often use an ND filter. I occasionally correct in Premiere but I try to do as little as possible. The trouble with tinkering is that you have to make sure the monitor you are using is configured 100% correctly. Otherwise you will be changing from a carefully constructed manufacturer default to a quality that matches only your own monitor.

@@PaphosLife So either 5.3K/50 or 4K/50 for driving and 4k/25 for walking videos?
I am going to try filming from the car roof on our next visit as when I filmed from the dashboard inside the car last time I got too much reflection from the windscreen and dashboard.

@@tonynancarrow5346 You can use 4K/50 for walking too, provided the lighting is decent. The lower the lighting, the less you want to have the camera doing. This gives it more time to focus on the actual image.

Will check out the 360 video, see if the car has been cleaned! Did you clean it or was it a delegated person that cleaned it?

Garage did it while they were repairing the car.
