Honestly. I really enjoyed this game as a kid. I always preferred the original game because of it’s open world. But seeing your own car interact with Mater and Lightning was still like the coolest thing as a kid. I spent hours playing the minigames to buy every single customization option
Ah yes, another of my beloved childhood Cars Wii games! Forcing my mom to play minigames with me that I would play over & over again! The music I also remember being an actual banger, Rescue Squad Mater minigames especially!
Peak game. I think they scrapped a Heavy Metal Mater section or something and uh yeah you mentioned it’s the last Cars game on home console you’d have to play but trust me it ain’t the last Cars game that can be played on a TV (cough cough Car Finder)

My bother and I used to have this game. I remember it being pretty fun. The game had a crashing issue that I believe happened in one of the El Materdor mini games.
I played this religiously as a kid, Cars was a prominent part of my childhood, I owned all the Cars games on the Wii I think, Race-o-rama, Mater-national, Cars 2, you name it. This one was probably my favorite next to Cars 2, I remember all the minigames like the back of my hand lol Loved the customization, my favorite story was probably Monster Truck Mater or Unidentifed Flying Mater
This was one of those games where, while you can make fun of it for how dumb it was, you also can't deny just how much fun you had while playing it. I played this a lot when I was a kid, and while I may no longer have a Wii, this is a really great party game to have a good laugh with your friends.

0:42 I love the guard rails acting as handrails. That's a concept that they'd totally play around with in the movies. Also gotta commend Daniel (Larry the Cable Guy) again for voicing Mater. Wouldn't be nearly as enjoyable if it was just some rando who vaguely sounded like Mater. Really makes the story narrations during the mini games stand out in my opinion.
Yeah, as I mentioned early, the game was alright, just for me it was really buggy, but it never stopped me from loving it, my thoughts have changed of course, but the goofy interactions and the custom car that you can make actually changed my mind. This must be the nostalgia talking or something but even after giving the game away to my old school, I kinda miss playing it and I hope those kids enjoy it
I remember getting this from my nanas Christmas party back in my childhood and man i was excited and funny enough my papa got a black wii so basically i played it after i got it and it was really fun i still have it to this day.
I'm surprised! Most games like this (party games based on kids movies) tend to be phoned-in hunks of crap. But, this one actually looks at least playable, and the soundtrack isn't too bad, either. Although I won't be rushing out to buy it, it looks like a game that'd be fine to rent for a weekend.
