My favorite quote from his book is "No one is coming", Once you grasp its meaning, you see people, places and things very differently and clearer. Great job making this video :)

This is one of the most important books I have ever read. The people who practice these pillars are the ones that make it in the history books. Thank you Brian for your incredible work and the positive contributions you make to so many life's including mine.

Your summaries are the best. Sometimes it seems summary channels don't properly read the books they review or summarize, but it seems like you really internalize these things. BTW, the is one of my favorite books ever.

OMG I love this book! I found it one year ago and it is the best thing to improve self esteem. Thank you Brian that you show it and explain to everibody! There are too many books about self esteem that are just inflated baloons. I hate them, they are disgusting and agressive! They take advantage of the poor people that want to improve themselfs! This is the real thing, it makes you understand yourself, the fundementals of self esteem and show you how to actually improve your self esteem!

Recently moved into my own apartment finally, a studio, after having thrown out a bunch bunch of useless old junk. Finally on the road to getting organized. Tonight I meditated for about 15 minutes to get back into practice. It feels great!
Now if only fix my relationship/ dating life which sucks right now.

Have you read Honoring the Self by Nathaniel Branden? More philosophical look on self esteem, with insights into death, egoism, and a value structure to implement. I personally liked it more than Six Pillars, but need to read six pillars again to reaffirm that conclusion.

Hey Brian. Thanks for the video. Just got the book. It's pretty cool.
Just a quick question on exercises.
Does one do the stems for each of the six pillars each day over a period of weeks or does one do one pillar at a time for two weeks and then moves on to the next an then so on ?
Sorry if if seems like a stupid question

    Hi Brian,
This is a question I would love to have answered, another comment below also asked. Thanks.
    So here it is:
Does one do the stems for each of the six pillars each day over a period of weeks or does one do one pillar at a time for two weeks and then moves on to the next an then so on?
    Thanks

Thanks for posting your review. I always looked a “self-esteem” in a pejorative sense as its connotation today is the mantra for the "I/Me/My" generation. Clearly, Branden’s intention is not that, It’s too bad that useful terms are co-opted and redefined.

Your happiness depends on how your self esteem is confronted by reality. When the reality contradicts your self esteem, your happiness is attacked. When the reality confirms your self esteem, your happiness is stimulated.
Going from that right perspective, those who tend to be more unhappy about themselves usually have high self esteem; like many women.
Sorry to disappoint anyone, i don't agree with Nathaniel Branden; his concept of self esteem is not very tuned with reality.
Anyways, regards for his great intelligence and hard work.
