@Reverend Boaz In this area we do have some wildlife (garter snakes, deer, squirrels, skunks, Canadian geese, wild Turkey, etc) natural disasters ( blizzards, tornadoes, floods) but these aren’t really often. I should also mention possums, raccoons, groundhogs. Of course the mice and stray cats.
For the most part we do not have much in the way of dangerous animals. There are no bears; snakes are super rare and are fairly harmless if they do appear. As far as natural disasters go the main big one would be tornados. I have lived in Iowa for 30 years and I haven't seen a tornado myself just for reference.
We are from Boston and thinking about moving to Quad cities. So far I like what I have seen but I will visit Davenport in October to make my final decision. I appreciate your hard work. It has really helped us in making this as one of 2 final choices for our big move
I’m from moline my parents moved me and my brothers to Austin Texas about 24 years ago and I’m very thankful they did , the quad cities is stuck in time sadly.
It's as boring as hell run very fast nothing to do here so many people I know have left including me the houses are very cheap for a reason you get what you pay for the Quad Cities remind me of Flint Michigan 😂
Do you enjoy where you are from?

That's awesome! Just curious what is driving the big change? Also who is our competition when it comes to cities? 🤔😅
Visiting dav might turn you away. It's not the place to get your first impression from.
I live in Hampton IL, next to east Moline. I love the quad cities.
That's awesome! I love it over in Hampton!
Moved here from the Chicago burbs in 2019. Really like it. All the amenities, just closer and cheaper
Absolutely agree with you on this one

I’ve been in Rockford since 1970. As a general rule I like it here. 😊
I grew up in east Moline
That's awesome! Any fond memories of East Moline?
Have you ever been to Carroll County Illinois?
I have been through there but never stopped just was driving through
@@LIVINGINTHEQUADCITIES I asked because it seems like most of the towns there are similar in size to the Iowa town that you are originally from.

Except the water here is safe to drink.
