@@Beardownsports I think Poles was planning the Thomas Brown Lifesaver route thats why Warren named him HC to get him out of the Booth, I wont say sabotage but for sure put pressure on, to answer questions people have about Thomas Brown calling plays from sidelines. Ryans Body Language looking like his dog died said to me He was the reason the 'Fire Eberflus Meeting' took longer than expected because he was arguing to keep Floose and let his decision to fire Waldron take its course to turn season around and build Calebs relationship with Thomas Brown who said at his press conference, it was Matt Eberflus who interviewed him to begin with and wanted him on staff after Waldron hiring, (prolly with plans to fire Shane as safety valve to save his job if need be). My guess is McCaskey's were on fence but leaning towards giving Floose n Brown till end of season, before Warren started questioning his role as Team President if he can't fire a guy who clearly lost the locker room having leverage with looming stadium deals. Which explains the fake reassurances to make it look like he didn't just usurp Poles and take the reins of the franchise like former Bear Chris Zorich hoped his buddy Warren would do back when he was hired.
Adam, great stuff as always. Question, what if TB doesn’t run the table and goes 1-4, 2-3 or 3-2? We are going against the NFLs toughest schedule for the rest of the season. I feel like the deck is stacked against him? I agree with the Tomlinson vibes.
More important than accountability is competence. Get everyone on the same page, make good decisions and eliminate the screw ups at the end of games. If this is accomplished all the head coach would have to be accountable for are wins!! I like what I have seen and heard from TB. Let's see how he does for the next 5.
And who put together that roster? And you’re sick of the direction the team is going? Again we had a bad coach. But to pile up on the GM whom you were just praising seems to me to be extremely fair weather.
You can bet that the McCaskey's would want Thomas Brown to really shine in this audition because like as was mentioned, he would come cheaper then the other candidates especially Ben Johnson. I thought Vrabel might be good as a motivator no nonsense type of guy but I would want him to keep Thomas Brown as OC. Forget Kingsbury, I saw his total collapses with the Cardinals, no thank you. I really hope that Brown smashes this chance and makes the grade. He seems to be able to adapt to defenses good in 2nd halfs just needs to bring it at the start of games.
Excellent show Adam. I really hope Thomas Brown makes the cut. Spot on about moving Tremaine E. Take the decision making of the MLB away from him and blitz him often. I totally agree about Poles positioning both Brown and Washington in as clean up just in case.
I like T. Brown, the way he demands a room’s attention in a respectful way is what sold me. Then his adaptability to his environment is very underrated, very similar to our quarterback. And if we do hire him it won’t be as black and white as it has been, as far as the whole draft a qb then fire the hc and start all over in year two type deal. There will be familiarity, and to add he does give me Mike Tomlin vibes. Which ever way we go I just want to have faith in our coach enough that when we go against these other good teams, especially in our division, I can at least be confident that our coach won’t lose us the game. Because let’s be honest, we’ve always had better talent than these teams and these past 3 weeks have shown that. The NFL would hate to see the Chicago Bears with a respectable coach at the helm. Because besides a couple odds and ins on the offensive and defensive lines, and maybe a safety, a coach is all we need.
