    Imo the perfect fit isn't on anybody's radar yet, but He is considered by most to already be a Hall of Fame Coach who was the youngest Head Coach to ever win the Super Bowl and has led a team to both an AFC Championship game and NFC Championship game as the Head Coach, so 4th Quarter situational football is a given. He is a proven Offensive minded play-caller that is known and respected by current and former players as one of the few "Hardnose" no nonsense coaches who were also loved and respected as a true "Players Coach" He has ran the 4-3 Nickel Base Tampa Two system we use too perfection ... Cherry on top he is known as QB Guru, who speaks highly of Caleb going back to his sooner days, as "advanced warfare type of "special" the kind coaches like him dream about because of the endless possibilities of things you can scheme up with that kind of arm talent and elusiveness. A Coach who literally Checks all the boxes .... Drumroll please ....
    its Jon Gruden, his lawsuit is over which 'ruled' he can return to coaching in NFL. He brings instant culture shift, no more of this 8 Team Captains bullshit. The only cons are his personality maybe too Ditka like and overbearing for Ownership who prefer soft spoken polite head coaches Like Ben Johnson neither will come cheap. Probably a pipedream even when Grudens name is thrown around as HC Search heats up. Bears always find a way to fuck up even the most perfect of situations, so getting the guy who set the record Tomlin and McVay later broke as youngest HCs to hoist a Lombardi seems too easy and logical.
    For the millennials and zoomers Jon Grudens career in the NFL started on the 49ers coaching staff way back in the 1900s when they had guys named Joe Montanna and Jerry Rice, where this great magical thing happened when the man the myth the legend Bill Walsh and changed the NFL forever by creating the West Coast System in the 80s. Gruden went on in the 90s under soon to be Hall of Fame coach Mike Holmgren with Andy Reid to create the RPO layers to the west coast scheme. Gruden then added the "Pound The Rock" version of the West Coast he used to rebuild Raiders and become Youngest Coach to ever win a Super Bowl with the Bucs where his ties to the Tampa Two coaching connections to Lovie Smith Mike Tomlin coaching tree ties all come into play for hiring Defensive Coaches.

    What is really want to see from Thomas brown in these 5 games. Not just 5-0. But if he goes 3-2, I want to see intelligence during adversity. I want to know when the going is tough he don't break down mentally. A trademark of flus nagy trestman. Can't say fox he was old and halfway out the league when we hired him.

    Adam, future show where you look specifically at the traits the new head coach must/should have? Leader of men, respected, etc.? That would make narrowing the choices easier.

    • @Beardownsports
      @Beardownsports  19 годин тому

      This "leader of men" thing is so generic
      1. Commands a lockerroom and motivated players to play for them
      2. Creative/innovative mind that keeps teams on their heels
      3. Clutch when it matters (starting off fast, end of 2nd and 4th quarter)
      4. Wins. Period. Wins.

    • @iculqqkn5768
      @iculqqkn5768 13 годин тому

      @@Beardownsports I think Poles was planning the Thomas Brown Lifesaver route thats why Warren named him HC to get him out of the Booth, I wont say sabotage but for sure put pressure on, to answer questions people have about Thomas Brown calling plays from sidelines. Ryans Body Language looking like his dog died said to me He was the reason the 'Fire Eberflus Meeting' took longer than expected because he was arguing to keep Floose and let his decision to fire Waldron take its course to turn season around and build Calebs relationship with Thomas Brown who said at his press conference, it was Matt Eberflus who interviewed him to begin with and wanted him on staff after Waldron hiring, (prolly with plans to fire Shane as safety valve to save his job if need be). My guess is McCaskey's were on fence but leaning towards giving Floose n Brown till end of season, before Warren started questioning his role as Team President if he can't fire a guy who clearly lost the locker room having leverage with looming stadium deals. Which explains the fake reassurances to make it look like he didn't just usurp Poles and take the reins of the franchise like former Bear Chris Zorich hoped his buddy Warren would do back when he was hired.

    I like T. Brown, the way he demands a room’s attention in a respectful way is what sold me. Then his adaptability to his environment is very underrated, very similar to our quarterback. And if we do hire him it won’t be as black and white as it has been, as far as the whole draft a qb then fire the hc and start all over in year two type deal. There will be familiarity, and to add he does give me Mike Tomlin vibes.
    Which ever way we go I just want to have faith in our coach enough that when we go against these other good teams, especially in our division, I can at least be confident that our coach won’t lose us the game. Because let’s be honest, we’ve always had better talent than these teams and these past 3 weeks have shown that. The NFL would hate to see the Chicago Bears with a respectable coach at the helm. Because besides a couple odds and ins on the offensive and defensive lines, and maybe a safety, a coach is all we need.

    If they had taken Jim Caldwell in the first place, tehy would not be in this mess. I know he's not being mentioned but he was a finalists against Eberflus two years & half years ago.
    Here's some truth about the coaching in Bears history. The two most successful coaches the Bears have had in the last 45 years were Mile Ditka and Lovie Smith. Neither one was a HC in the NFL when they got the Bears job.
    So it's a lot more about the character, leadership skills and accountability standards of the individual than it is HC experience. You're analyst guy Adam, I don't know need to recount to you how many first time HEAD COACHES ARE CURRENTLY HAVING SUCCESS IN THE nfl.

    3) That reporters *asked **_Eberflus_* not Getsy about those play-calls? & while you refused to even entertain this for Fields, you didn't blink when reporters only asked 'Flus & not Waldron about the terrible o-line play _this_ year. Funny how you refused to acknowledge any of this when Fields was here & now everyone insists he's the _ONLY reason_ Caleb is excelling.
    Enjoy your 6th-rounder & whatever feeling of gratification knowing Fields is a back-up (since Arthur Smith has also started calling plays designed to make Fields look stoopit). Even without me pointing all this out, Fields himself did after week 6 of '22. It made all the news at the time.

    Why would you want to stick with a guy from this failed organization ? Let's start fresh with someone from outside , someone from a winning culture , someone with some experience at a higher level . Why do you want to keep experimenting with inexperience year after year ? TB started the year as the passing came coordinator and moved up the ladder because of the ineptitude of those ahead of him and there was nobody else to turn to and it made him the next hot messiah for the Bears. The dysfunctional ownership will be drawn to him because he'll come cheap and thats what the McCrapseys are all about . I have no doubt that Poles and his group will screw this up because he should be gone along with Flus . Maybe some o-line help could have been found with the 4th rnd. pick rather than a punter , any kind of help to protect your rookie franchise QB would have been welcome .
