This might have been a train wreck of a movie, but the mansion it was filmed at is an Italian national treasure. The mansion is the Villa Parisi, completed sometime in 1600 and formerly owned by Camelio Borghese and his wife Pauline Bonaparte, the youngest sister of Napoleon. As well, the last of the great Gothic horror movies (imho anyhow) was filmed in the Villa in 1965. The movie was the Barbara Steele shocker Amanti D'Oltretomba, aka "Nightmare Castle". The atmosphere this place exuded in that movie was astounding, due to the B&W cinematography and the use of chamber music for the main score. See nightmare Castle if you can!
(on the Muppet Show theater balcony) Waldorf: That's unfortunate. Statler: Well, she always wanted to be at the SHARP END of her career! Both: D'OH-HO-HO-HO-HO-HO!
This and Peter Bark are my favorite things about this film. If you like horror and you're on Facebook than join my group, "The most excellen/killer horror group".
