I was actually distracted by how healthy and nicely shaped her natural nails are lol.
A tip if you have spillage after you push down the form on your nail, just clean it with the brush and the solution or you can use 70% rubbing alcohol before you cure it. It’ll be a lot easier than filing it off.

When I went to add polish to my polly gel nails after they cured it came right off and never dried. I even used a lamp. Help what polish do you use on this?

I LOVE using polygel nails. I'm so done with glue-ons or press-ons and polygels saved me sooo much money from going to the salons. It's also such a rewarding feeling when you get the hang of using polygel and you form a nice set of nails🤩
When I do my poly gel I prefer to place it a little tiny bit out from my cutical and push it up a bit, for me this helps keep the area thinner so there's little if any little hump and helps limit the spillage if I do push a little too hard!
I just got this kit yesterday for Christmas and I was so nervous about trying it… I can’t try it now because I’m pregnant but this video just completely eased some of that anxiety… thank you so much for the explanation I get really anxious when trying new things so again you definitely helped!🙏🏾❤️

I just ordered my kit a few days ago & can't wait to use it! I haven't seen my real nails in over a year & do not like it. I love having nails & with all the salons closed I had to do something & the polygel seemed to be the easiest. So I'm excited to get mine. I'm thinking about ordering some glitter polygel. Gonna do some research before I do, it's so pretty & I'm a glitter girl lol! Thanks for your video. I now know I've made a great discussion on getting my kit
Been doing polygel for close to 2 months. Still learning lots! 1 frequent issue i have is filing closer to the cuticle and the underside, i dont have an efile. Luckily i found that using nail forms work for the underside so as long as you cut and adjust them if your are using the dual form as well (doesn't apply for free hand application) now all i really need to work on is tricks on how to thin down the nails at the cuticle area in the dual form in order to have the seemless cuticle area! But I've had fun with the process of learning!

Dulce Serrato no it doesn’t include primer I think and that’s very important if you want long lasting nails

I just bought a polygel kit off Amazon and it was so easy. But I will say it takes practice. You gotta have the uv lamp and patience. I either make my nails too thick or too thin at the moment but I think it's like anything else, it'll get better with practice. But I became disabled and it just got harder and harder to get to the salon.

Me too it's my first time I've ever had my nails done. It takes practice!
Lovely! I do my nail extensions myself and I like to use hybrid gel when doing my dominant hand! Also when I want super quick nail extensions I use hybrid gel with the dual forms. :)
Ps. "Polygel" is a product name from the brand Gelish, this product is usually known as "hybrid gel" or "acrygel" since it's the mix between acrylic and gel. :)
I used poly gel got into right mess lol but I want to keep trying as I want to get into nails for a hobby so these videos sure help me thank you 🙏 xxx

Sherlyn Ramirez oh really? I think I’m going to try nail forms next. My biggest struggle with the dual forms was getting the underside smooth. Nail forms probably don’t have that problem at all, huh?
@@JauntyJuli you could use a regular form at the same time if you don't want that problem. I was thinking of getting those metal reusable forms just for the underside since they seem less fiddly for DIY.
I ordered a polly gell kit but not this brand. Mine is beetles brand. I love it!! Make sure you don't go close to the side walls and if it comes out the sides onto your skin, just clean it with the brush and don't flood the crucials. Keep watching more videos on how to do this, it's easy to use. I did it once and like it better than doing my acrylic nails. I like the glitter in this kit. I may try that.

Could you treat these like your natural nails? Like could you apply/remove regular nail polish multiple times without it wearing down the gel?
Yes! In fact, I did and I filmed a few nail art tutorials with them using regular polish and was able to safely remove the polish without messing up the gel!

So do you apply the top coat before or after regular polish?
Helen Castillo you’ll probably wanna topcoat the cured gel and then polish with your color so you don’t stain the polygel nail

I had the hardest time with this. I ran into every problem imaginable. I will try again later
I have never been into fake tips or anything like that, but lately it has been kinda tempting 😅. I just would like to try a different nail shape because some designs just go better with like almond shape or stiletto.. I've had my square nails since I ever started doing nailart, but I did had the courage to change to almond on my dominant hand. The only problem of trying polygel or any nail extension is the removal process. I have already removed a complete gel manicure and I swear it messes up with my patience 🤣
NailsAndTowel I literally feel the exact same way. I’ve been square FOREVER and am scared to commit to any other shape 😂 Removal process is pretty timely for sure. I actually tried doing these again with a peel off base coat under and that definitely helped. But it of course compromises the longevity.
JauntyJuli bless that peel off base coat. I was going to ask if that could be possible. And oh now I can take the risk 😆😁

So if i understand it correctly. When the tip with polygel lifts, than there are 2 problems? 1. to many slip solution or to small tip?
How long you had this set of polygel nails before they broke or that they were no longer beautiful?
Can you paint nail polish over the polygel or should you to it over the top coat to change colors add effects?

I have the poly gel and really like it but I always seem to have thickness under the tip so I must be doing something wrong.
Can you recommend a place where I can get XL polygel forms? I bought a kit with a ton of forms in it but the largest one doesn't fit my thumb! I don't think my nails are gigantic at all but I've been looking on line all day and can't seem to find anything that says big or XL. My thumb looks wonky as all get out.
Question Do I ABSOLUTELY NEED the slip solution and base coat?
I *LOVE* my polygel! I would add to your tips/tricks though that if you don't have an e-file, use glue-on nail tips and form the polygel over that instead of using the dual forms. That way they're not lumpy and thick underneath where you can't reach them with a hand file.

I recently ordered a polygel kit from modelones and it did not come with base coat and top coat. Am I able to use the regular base and top coats from my gel polish kits?

I have a kit form this brand but they say to cure both side 30 seconds to 60 seconds. But the lamp that came with 20 watts. I saw that poly gel needs higher wattage and long to cutmre. Can you please help me with some advice?

I’ve been doing polygel since they came out and been doing my own nails for many years there’s a lot of issues with polygel. First you never really know how much to use, secondly air bubbles galore maybe I’m not cleaning my nails properly before hand but I have a few that completely pop off 🤔idk what I’m doing wrong
Same, i made the apex thicker and that helped me at least

sophia likes pasta an efile definitely isn’t necessary but it will absolutely make your life easier, especially come removal time. I use the Markatt JD700 but there are lots of cheaper great options on amazon.

Some problems might be:
1- you need to press so it could stick(and file your nails before)
2- are you using the uv light to cure the nails, it is very important
3-you added to much liquid solution whether it’s alcohol or the liquid that comes in the box
Hope these tips were helpful;)
Also make sure to dehydrate the nails so the moisture doesn’t loosen up the nails and make them lift, don’t wash your hands before doing this, and don’t forget to cure the base coat for 30 seconds before applying the polygel, clean the dust after failing your nails

How long did they last you?
I bought one of Modelones kits about 6 months ago. I have tried using it numerous times and I have failed every single time. I follow the instructions step by step doing my nails exactly as instructed only to have the entire tip break away from the rest of the nail. Every single nail, every single time. It is very frustrating to say the least. Anyone have any idea as to what I am doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! 😊

Yes you can, but you don’t need to if you like the color, you can watch the beauty vault to see a little bit of that

I've done polygel and I can never tell how much to use. I try a small bead and they broke. Tried a pea size and also broke. I want to try again but I'm after of another disaster.

I BARELY have any nails whatsoever because I bite them so I tried doing this and they kept popping right off so easily. Literally when I went into the shower that same day they ALL came off. Watching this video and learning more about the product, do you think it could be because I use 99.9% rubbing alcohol?
I've heard to try skipping the base coat, and using dehydrator and primer instead. However, make sure that you are buffing your nails beforehand, and wiping them with dehydrator or alcohol. I've had the same issue, and doing the alcohol to dehydrate and a very thin basecoat made a small difference. Haven't tried skipping base and using the dehydrator and primer yet. But I just got the modelones pair for that, so i will definitely be trying it out.
I have tried and tried with these and with in an hour of doing them they pop or peel off....grrrrr

Yes, your suppose to put a gel top coat on.

Yes you can! Just prep nail then apply a small bead of polygel enough to smooth out and cover your nail from cuticle to free edge. You don't paint it like nail polish but you pat and smooth (using alcohol for slip) into place like one would use acrylic. Then shape, buff and top coat.

I use one I got at Walmart for about $20. The brand name is Sensationail I think. It came with top coat & base coat, a colored gel polish, lint-free wipes, alcohol, abs a few other things I've forgotten by now lol. You can find pretty cheap lamps on Amazon too
