During my time in high school, multiple cops had to go onto campus numerous times because students kept on writing school shooting threats in the school bathroom. The worst threat so far happened last year after I have graduated high school. A group of guys started posting the threats online and even went as far as taking a picture of themselves holding a gun. Thankfully, all the guys were caught and no shooting has ever occured, but this was the worst one yet because according to my sister, almost every single student from the school chose not to go on campus. It was practicly a ghost town the entire day.
We had a fake bomb threat to my college once. Everyone was evacuated to the parking lot (we weren’t told what was happening either someone overheard what the facility was saying and it got around) the police spent hours searching campus only to find out it was supposedly a joke between two classmates

My son's school went through that last Friday in Phoenix so Monday ended up being a work from home day and the school brought counselors in to talk to any kids and/or teachers who were traumatized by it. I'm so glad it's his senior year and he won't have to deal with it anymore but sorry for all the other kids who do. It's no way to grow up and is detrimental to learning if they're always afraid for their lives.
Let's not forget Tuesday in Tucson as well. Shame that we still have to deal with this. As a son of a Tempe Union Educator, it brings shame that this happens far too often in the United States. I'm sure there will be questions at some point.
