"Signed with"? She did two songs on one film. I'm assuming she did it a) for the money, to give her greater financial freedom to pursue the kind of music she actually wants to make; and b) to raise the profile of Scottish Gaelic music. I was angry too, at first, but I've made my peace with it. I don't much like the songs, but I don't need to listen to them. They don't ruin the rest of the music she's done.

But yeah, I've heard her sing her disney songs a couple time in performances I've been to. I tolerate it because I still enjoy her voice. And a lot of young girls became a fan of hers after her involvement in the movie, so thats a good gateway for them to get into traditional music.
