I’m not so sure about that? The blower was on the right side. I thought 12v71 had the blower in the center of the engine like the 8v71. This was not that. It was a 671 straight 6
I did see that after I posted. Strange how the hood is extended that was on the 1271 engine combo. But who knows why it is extended I owned a few GMCs w 671s and drove an 871 with a short hood but taller than the 671-engine
