Easy peasy! I've never had a problem raising my Aliner Ranger 12's roof. I normally just walk back toward the real of the trailer, pushing up as I go along, until the roof is locked in place. However, this method appears much easier. I've shyed away from carrying any more stuff like some sort of push pole to lift the roof. Thanks for the quick tip!
Btw, an OEM u damaged roof should lift gracefully. An old roof may have absorbed water into it foam via leaks, and will not lift as easily as a new roof.
We had a Chalet that had a roof much higher than that. Team effort getting that up much easier after I installed high quality wheels on the lower half. Part of the problem is the counterbalance springs fatigue over time.
My 2023 Aliner Scout does not hold the open position - prior to full lock - at any level like yours does. Always wants to fall back down. No dormers. Ideas?
That is odd. The spring strength is supposed to be enough to mostly balance out the roof weight. You still should be able to open it the same way though, just can't let go while you step inside.

That's what I figured out to do, too. Works really well and is so uncomplicated.

I have the same issue.

@@Dean-In-Milwaukee I do try to raise from the inside, it just isn't easy.
The springs may have weakened. You might consider adding some gas struts to the front roof.
@@ReggieT-221 it's brand new :( I would love to have gas struts installed, I have no clue how to find someone to do that.
