Colin Hay could produce studio vocals in live shows. He still does. They were so talented but so short-lived. Their music takes you back to those days like few others do. I, like many others, remember going to the mall record store and buying the albums. Those were the days, weren't they?

Colin Hay looks like a retro psychedelic new wave singer with that white suit and shades! He almost looks like he would have fit perfectly in the band Devo back when they first formed their career. ~Dutch
I can't be the only person who immediately thought the general was about to break out in song when he said "i can see in your eyes." The way he said it had the perfect cadence lol "I can see it in your eyes I can see it in your smile. You're all Ive ever wanted, And my arms are wide open." -Lionel Richie "Hello"
I'm not sure why exactly, but this song reminds me of the band The Police. The lead singer dressed in white sounds like Sting, right? Gordon Summer, even today, some 40+ years later, still has a great singing voice. I remember standing in line in my favourite music shop, waiting to buy the latest queen album when the shop played this song. Who were these guys, I thought. I ended up buying this single to add to my vinyl collection of records, which at that time was a mear 10 albums, there abouts, and about 30+ singles. Now, I own over 2,600 albums, most of which are full collections from my favourite artists such as Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, and T-Rex all of which in my mind were the best bands in the world. I admit there are a few glam rock bands I like, none of which Gary Glitter was a part of. However, they say always save the best till last right, and here it is. My most cherished collection, the full works of ACDC, my band of all time. The collection includes all their studio demos and bootleg albums. I also own two studio recording tapes which I purchased from a dealer in London. They are the only band where I have collected every album and every single they ever released including several that were not. I purchased them on vinyl at first, then on cassette tape to listen to in my Cortina MkII, and later on CD. I found some tracks that were never released, copies of which I purchased later on from their official website. I have all their videos on DVD and Blu-ray and a tour box collection from a tour they did in Miami containing signed autographs on photos of the band members. A copy of their latest album. A key ring. A T-shirt and a pair of sun glasses. A strange collection I must say. I have albums released both here in the UK, America, and, of course, Australia, where some albums were never released outside of their homeland which I purchased from reputable dealers costing me a small fortune. The collection is insured for £300,000.00 as I also have the autographs of almost every person who ever joined the band and some who are sadly no longer with us. Bon Scott died in 1980. Colin Burgess died in 2023. Neil Smith died in 2013, to name but three. Many others passed away, too many to mention here. Members that only joined the band on tour for a week or a few months who have since passed away. Those autographs are worth anything from £100 to £500 each, but the most valuable is that of Bon Scott. A simple autograph scribbled on a beer matt or napkin fetch up to £500 but a short letter he wrote sold for £1,000. For reasons, I simply can't understand, buying an autograph signed on a record album, well, that sells for the most money. Anything from £50k to the sky is the limit if more than one person were to bid on it at auction. I'm told it has to do with its popularity, its condition, and how rare it is. A friend told me that an autograph from an American president sold for almost 9 million dollars. Whatever that is in British pounds its still a huge amount of money. I could be sitting on a gold mine. Sorry, what? What has Gordon Summer got to do with this band or The Police. Well, that is Stings real name. Sorry, what has ACDC got to do with anything. Quite a lot, actually. Firstly, ACDC is the most famous band to come out of Australia. Secondly, Men at Work supported ACDC on tour, which tour exactly, those details escape me right now. Thirdly, Men at Work said in an interview via satellite when their video 'Down Under' was shown on Top of the Pops, the UKs top music show at that time in 1981, then again when they performed 'Down Under' in 2002 performing in Manchester in an after show interview said, that they took inspiration from ACDC among other bands they liked. Now I will go make a pot of tea. I find that writing is thirsty work.☕️😁🏴
