Own a 21 Calligraphy with a little over 6k on it. Drove it to Florida over 800 miles. Got over 28mpg at 75 mph. With the blind spot, lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control the car actually drove itself. I could eat a bowl of chili going through Atlanta at 75 mph. Best car Ive ever owned.
Haven’t taken a road trip with mine yet but I have noticed significantly better than advertised Highway mpg.
I love the adaptive cc on my Santa Fe.

@@bkpatl2532 I can’t think of anything specific. We love our 22 calligraphy. We like the interior more than the competitors as it has more of a luxury feel to it. It has 2 different features pertaining to what was mentioned here. Lane keep assist which is the annoying beeps and such of you start to veer in your lane and the lane follow assist with you can turn on and works with the adaptive cruise. Lane follow will use the cameras and radar to follow the road and keep you centered in your lane. It is the most basic form of self driving. It will slow down and stop with the flow of traffic but it won’t recognize traffic signals and won’t follow navigation. I also really like the HUD. In settings you can assist what information is shown in the HUD. My favorite thing I turned on is the blind spot notifications in the HUD.
@@mjsabie8517 If you set the auto cruise it will reduce your speeds according to speed limits. Also works with navigation to slow you down with traffic jams or congestion ahead. Plus it is the fraction of the price of a Tesla.
Just purchased the 2021 limited AWD in white with beige interior. What a great vehicle. Just did a 1800 mile trip. Best gas mileage 28.4 hwy at 75 mph. Lowest was 22.7 all city driving. Did I mention this was through the hills or eastern TN. Super quiet, comfortable. Great features. Love the Hyundai app that allows me to find a destination and have that sent to my cars navigation system. Great feature. Also remote start with preset comfort settings. Oh and find my vehicle feature. Incase you forget where you parked at Disneyland.

We love our 2021 Palisade Calligraphy. The ride is smooth, great turning radius, sufficient horse power, decent gas mileage, safety and tech features galore, and the incredibly comfortable seats. We always get compliments on the gorgeous light beige interior and ambient lighting. We only wish it had folding mirrors, the ability to lock all the doors from the lift gate, and the ventilated/heated seats being connected to the auto climate control. Because the calligraphy trim only comes with rear captains seats, we wish Hyundai offered a bench seat option or a center console accessory. We purchased a generic center console so we could put in our pet hammock for traveling with the pooch. Always appreciate your reviews. Cheers guys.
We have a 21 Calligraphy as well. We absolutely love it. The only thing missing from it is "smaat paak" (smart park).

Hyundai has been kicking it lately! This vehicle is really nice and the features are very thoughtfully done, especially the USB ports in the back of seats and in the rear. Hyundai is definitely providing good value for money. I'm impressed.
I agree. They have stepped up their game to match the Japanese auto makers. I am going to pick up my 2022 Tucson Hybrid today on my lunch break as it just came into the dealership last night. Very excited.

I purchased the 2021 Limited model in June and it’s fantastic. It’s quiet, it has a smooth ride and is comfortable for all occupants. The Harmon Kardon system sounds great. Best of all, there isn’t another competitive model that can touch it. The Telluride is the closest and it cost more with the dealers marking up prices. Jeep Grand Cherokee L can’t even come close until you spend another $8k-10k and get a Grand Cherokee L Overland model for about $60K.
But the Kia(SX-L)and Hyundai currently(Calligraphy)cost near or the same with the ridiculous dealer markups and don't offer the towing nor 4WD/air suspension of a comparable Overland trim for that money.
@@hellkitty1014 ….. Yes, depending on where you live that maybe true but that won’t last forever. While the Jeep MSRP, will still be the same. I purchased my Palisade Limited FWD in June, 2021, for $46,260, and it was $419 below MSRP.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee L in Limited trim with the Luxury Tech Group II pkg is a better buy at $55k. 🤷🏾♂️

You don’t mind spending an additional $7k or more and still not have HUD, a 360 camera view and no adaptive cruise control, which I have for less than $47K. Along with the fact that the Grand Cherokee L Overland, which is the cheapest model to allow the Tech Pkg., is a 6 passenger vehicle while the Palisade Limited seats 7. Lastly, even though the Grand Cherokee L is larger on the outside, it’s completely smaller on the inside and has less interior space vs., the Palisade. The Grand Cherokee L only has a slight bit more headroom. The Grand Cherokee L only has an advantage if you TRULY need a go anywhere 4 wheel drive system and most of us don’t need it.

Oh my gosh!! I have been waiting for this 22 Palisade Calligraphy review and I absolutely love it! This is my favorite 3-row suv today, and I would choose this over the Telluride (although i like the exterior better)

THEY NEED POWER FOLDING SIDE MIRRORS!!! I would already have one if I didn't have to manually fold in side mirrors to easily fit into garage door opening - *** Should not be difficult to satisfy - Come on Hyundai!! At least on top trim levels ***
The Telluride and the Genesis SUVs have it. Otherwise, just have to use the 360 camera and the side door cameras. Or open the window and pull the driver side mirror in...

Just got this exact car. 2022 calligraphy hyper white with beige interior. We love it! With it had folding mirrors bit worse is no wireless connectivity to Android Auto and Apple Car play, Android auto doesn't use the full infotainment screen, and also I wish they had integrated the hyundai smart key so you could use your phone as a keyfob. Of course a few things I'd change but if I listed everything I loved about it we'd be here all day.
We got the same model. Love it as well. The only thing I want: auto locking when closing all doors (miss this from our CRV), mirror auto adjust with seat position settings, and wireless android/iOS. Ironically the lower models seem to have the wireless android/IOS but we don’t :(
Just bought a black on black 2022 Calligraphy yesterday. I'm a huge fan of Hyundai and have been for years - best non American brand out there!!!
Three features I wish the 22 model had: one-piece pano sunroof, digital rear viewing mirror, and folding side mirror.
I don't understand how folding side mirrors are only available for the Genesis models. The Kia trucks have that as an option

We just got our 2022 calligraphy and the things that I wish we had given some experiences with other vehicles: auto locking when all doors close, wireless android auto/ios, auto mirror adjust to each seat preset, and faster remote control unlock/lock and remote start. Other than that we love it. It’s been fantastic so far albeit I gotta get used to the wider length and stance.

So many in this class have one piece sun roof. These should be basic considering fine details they paid attention to

If this vehicle and the KIA Telluride came with a bench in the top trim and a little bit better fuel economy it would sell much more and be a bit more useful. I’d buy either one if either of them had both of those things going for it.

This review came out a couple weeks after I bought my Cali, same as the one you reviewed. As mentioned by one of you, the wheels. Yes I agree, I loved the 2020 Limited wheels and yes, I hated these but loved the rest of the car. In the end it's been a year and I love these wheels; I can easily find me vehicle in a parking lot filled with other white SUV's (more than average in AZ) and now that the 2023 has almost the same wheels as the 2020 I really like mine. I year ownership and the only thing I can pick at is no fold in mirrors for the car wash. The rest is just as nice as when new.

No auto-dimming on the mirrors either. For a vehicle with such large mirrors that will be problematic!

Very stellar product that is only missing power-folding mirrors AND auto-dimming(that is a big omission on a car with luxury intentions). I know Hyundai had to stay within budget to not encroach on Genesis, but those features should be offered, especially considering the Telluride has both(but no digital gauges). Other than that, this thing has really grown on me. It is a winner. Too bad, it is selling for about $60k in my area.
Yes, and same for telluride. I’m sorry But if Kia/Hyundai start making these start off in the $50’s then the luster of value wears off.
I just bought my 2022 Palisade Calligraphy out the door for $50k at Lester Glenn Hyundai in Twins River, NJ. They are selling their vehicles close to MSRP. Albeit, it's front wheel drive, I don't need all wheel drive where I live.

This digital cluster is just mind blowing with one piece 12 inch all integrated very well and neat ! I got hyper white with black interior been more than 6 months and I love it.

Pretty disappointed for all the money and it be in the top of the line you don't get power mirrors and only the driver and passenger front windows are One Touch wow wow I chose right on mine.
If you haven't done one yet it would be great to see the Comparison between the fully loaded Telluride and this.

Yeah, you have folding mirrors, but you paid big bucks for an analog instrument cluster and a less luxury appointed interior.

Nice car, went to buy one. Found out my local dealership had a $10,000 up charge above msrp. Ended up buying a 2021 Grand Cherokee L Overland and couldn’t be happier.
We'll see how long that last. The palisade is way more reliable. Lol only the inline 6 jeeps were good and that's pre 2004

I honestly love this car, however I can't afford it and got a Kona Limited instead, Hyundai makes beautiful & quality feature vehicles but I do wish all new vehicles from all makers have dashcams already installed in their models for extra safety

My brother bought this for his wife and I’ve driven it. After driving this car as much I have, German luxury buyers are just badge loyalists. Shifts are quick and ride is plush but my only complaint is the 291hp it has. I wish it had 300+hp or even the torque that came with the Sonata N-Line at least.
Check out the Genesis SUV’s. They’re beautiful and have more Hp.

Awesome review! The palisade is by far the absolute best vehicle in its class! I drove almost every one of its competitors and none of them could come close to the value, luxury, tech, and the generous 10 yr warranty that Hyundai offers with the palisade. I went with the hyper white 2021 calligraphy in AWD , with the beige interior. And I must say, it is a straight up LUXURY vehicle. the value is insane. You get SO much for your money. My friends who own Pilots, Highlanders, and Pathfinders are kicking themselves for not getting a palisade. 😂

@@dearhart77 No it’s not. Hyundai will eventually have that available on future models, but as of now, only their infotainment with the smaller displays have wireless CarPlay. However, I will say that in my personal experience with wireless CarPlay in other vehicles, I’ve noticed input lag and other delays and issues. I prefer to use wired

I had to test drive both toyota highlander and palisade to make a decision. I can tell you categorically that hyundai palisade is too underrated. Palisade beats toyota highlander in every aspect of quality and drivers experience. I had to buy the palisade.

I wanted to get a Palisade this year but with the crazy market and up charges dealerships are adding to the Palisade... I'm going to wait until next year. Hopefully everything calms down by then
There is no way I'm paying the $62k for a Calligraphy trim that the dealer in our town wants. The Acura dealer across the street will sell an MDX for that price, and you could possibly get a GV80.
I bought my 2021 palisade for right under MSRP from a dealer out of state. It was 100% worth the money and the distance. I went to Perry Hyundai in Texas. They will NOT charge above MSRP, and if they do, tell them Chris Hawkins referred you. (The dealer promised me that if I refer palisade customers to them, they’ll be charged MSRP or less. No additional markup)

The seat adjusters should be a high-end material. The steering wheel center looks very cheap!.
If I were in the market for this type of vehicle, the Palisade would be high on the list for a test drive. Have been considering the Genesis GV80 but its 2021 reliability rating on Consumers does not make me feel confident that Genesis will be trouble free.

I'm going to THIER page n look some more. I'm so glad I looked on these pages. I am wondering how high off the ground?? Auto makers fail to put these lower on the ground not that I'm short I'm 5'6. But sometimes kids n elders will have a hard time getting up and in. Somebody needs to tell them that. I know some disabled ppl n they need autos a bit closer to the ground. I take them to the store and whatever else they need to do. I thanks very much for showing this this am. Peace n blessings b unto you, n mask up bc it's not done with us yet.

I bought the 2022 Santa Fe calligraphy. It’s pretty much the same thing as this except smaller.
Solid review, really appreciated the decibel test. Would anyone who’s owned or test driven both the telluride and the palisade prefer one or the other? Thanks.
