blackdogbrown but when she takes a shower it’s back to square one. It does still bother him because when he was writing his pros and cons list about Carly he put incomplete tattoo under con in episode 11. I think the writers just forgot about it in episode 12 which is fine with me cuz I’m a huge Sharly fan.
Carly is so good for Shaun and here we see how good he is for her too - they are such a lovely, sweet couple with lots in common - from being medical phenoms to both being so patient and caring w/each other. This is probably the best relationship on TV right now.

I think it's neat how everyone in the hospital is becoming like Shaun's family including Morgan. I mean I think it's neat that he goes to other people for advice besides just Dr. Glassman like he goes to Dr. Park, and Claire and Andrews, Melendez , Morgan and eh Lim, I think it's cool that he's built friendships in the hospital. Than outside the hospital he has Leah and Carly.

This isn't about shipping, it's about Lea's character herself and how the writers have treated her. She was a good friend to Shaun and I like her as a character, but she did not get a proper send-off. I wish we knew more about her.

Well said! The thing is, that "send-off" was so quick and hasty, I have to think it wasn't a REAL send-off. I have no idea of knowing for sure, but I have to think this story's not done yet.....

Arnab Pal when a woman gets a pap smear, the pathologist does cultures on it to see if there is bacteria. They do this for so many other conditions too.

Arnab Pal I meant pelvic exam, not Pap smear. I always accidentally say Pap smear when I mean pelvic exam. From where I’m laying it all feels the same. Sometimes my dr has taken samples to see if I have yeast and she does a culture on it. Are you saying the medical field no longer does cultures? If so my dr has been lying to me.

Carly is a sensitive woman, and Shaun here to understand, how much he must have suffered, how many he left with Lea. And that it was only fair that Carly needed time to regain trust.
There were things to like and not like about this whole episode. But I was NOT a fan of the way the whole "moving out" situation played out. Lea deserved FAR better than the quick "exit" she got at the start of the episode!
It was so WRONG! I don't care who Shaun's with. Shaun still needs Lea. She became part of the family that Shaun never had and she became part of the audience's family too. Very bad move on the writers part. It looked like Carly was threatened and wanted her gone and Shaun, afraid of loosing Carly, kicked Lea out and we've lost what this show was meant to be about in the beginning. I don't mind a little romance in a show but this has gotten so ridiculous I'm not sure there will be a season 4 or if I want there to be. Shaun has grown which is good but the writers are also sacrificing who he is for a love triangle!

The only reason I can think of is they didn’t want to complicate things and thought that way would be easier because if they showed it fans would scrutinize every word Shaun and Lea exchanged and mistake it for love. I think you’re on the right track. I also suspect that “pace of story” is in play and that the writers had a specific benchmark of Episode 12 to get the relationship with Carly to what we saw at the end of this episode.
I also think that the writers WANT us asking and questioning about Lea. I bet they didn’t know just how up-in-arms some fans would get! Who knows - there could be something really special that happens before the end of the season that will make my “deserved better” comment look quite silly.
Tony Payne Interesting thoughts. Many are saying Shaun and Lea are a slow burn. If so this would be the most bizarre slow burn ever. Lea’s hardly on the show. Guess we will wait and see. I heard there are two extra episodes this season by the way. The Good Doctor posted it on Twitter.
I think that Lea took Shaun for granted. She had sex with other ppl while they were living together KNOWING Shaun liked her during that time. She was a big part of the show but with that being said no one said she’s leaving and also there’s nothing wrong with him kicking her out. It’s time for her to live on her own, let her stay with her boyfriend
