When I saw they upgraded to a USB C connector I knew it was time. I think the old USB Micro connectors are a PIA. Her new one is great. It synced right out of the box and connected to WiFi immediately. The thing is perfect! Sooo mine will arrive tomorrow. (Been reading off an old Fire) What bugs me are the reviewers that give this product one star because it didn't work out of the box or they were too dumb to figure it out. If it doesn't work send it back and get another one. It couldn't be easier with Amazon. Giving it one star because it didn't work says nothing about a good one that does work. I bet a bad one is one in a thousand or more. Give it a break...just get another one.

Yes you can, it has an Amazon AppStore and UA-cam is available on it. It is an android tablet but Amazon has put their fire os on it. So it’s kind of more of an Amazon Android tablet.
It really depends what they're doing on it, games drain the batter quickly, video also drain quite a bit. Reading and browsing make it last much longer. A couple hours I would say on average for my kids but it really depends what you're doing.
Is the 1 year of amazon kids+ for the tablet only or is it linked to amazon account? Like would we be able to add it to another regular amazon fire tablet that we have?
I'm pretty sure you do need internet/wifi. You could always get a phone plan that has unlimited Hotspot and use your phone to give them internet when your out and about. But you should be able to play games or maybe books and movies that are downloaded on it already.
I’m not sure. I can’t remember if Amazon prime adds movies or not since I have both prime and kids+. I think kids+ should give you some collection of videos even without prime
@@ckgonzales6743 it is for buying thins or consuming things all Amazon. If you want something catered to children you’ll have to up the price for an Onn Surf by Walmart or Lenovo M7 gen 3
@@LvUhcX had an onn surf from walmart & the amazon fire kids is 100x better for kids in my opinion. Our Onn surf barley lasted 6 months & lagged all of the time

You can still do stuff on it even with an Amazon kids subscription but you may need an Amazon account to login.
