They are literally the exact same tablet, down to the model number. The only difference is the case. So if you want the thicker case just get that one because you're still getting the same tablet. When you set up the kid profile, it will give you the option of having the more kiddy look on the screen and menu, or the bigger kid look.

But you have to go into the parents side”aka Amazon kids and switch it to look like a normal tablet”and then download the app. Then you go into settings, parent controls, choose the child, add content, and then add UA-cam kids and they will have everything they need now. Because on the kids side of things on the little kids tablet there is no App Store. On the big kids table there’s kind of an App Store because you can request apps. But that’s all. We actually have all 3 fire HD ten tablet: the two kids versions and the normal. By normal I mean the one that looks like your normal iPad So you can add it but they can’t add it themselves. What if I don't have Prime? Will the Kids+ work? will the movie selection be limited? I've tried to search for what movies are available using kids+, but have been unsuccessful in finding out which ones are available. I have a special needs adult daughter who likes family friendly movies ie. Andy Griffith, Little House, Etc. Thank you for anyone who can help.
The most annoying thing about the kids edition, is when the tablet is in kick stand mode the sound and power button are on the left. Most people!e are right handed. So I found this super annoying. I am glad they switched it on the pro model.

Can you download the ages 3-5 activities onto the pro version? My son is 3.5 but i prefer the case on the pro version.

Are all the games the same on each? My daughter plays the Thomas the tank games and would be upset if they weren't there
Does the pro edition offer the same dual parent/kid profile as the regular kids edition were you can switch between depending on what you allow?
Yes. It’s the same software so you can switch between child/parent profiles whenever you like and put the parents accounts behind a PIN lock

It alouds 6-12 year olds if your 9 you can use it because if your age is 9 and it's 12 plus you can still use it

Same. I think if your child is left handed go with the kids tablet but if the child is right handed go with the pro. They both have the same settings

Yes you can, just switch out of the kids profile.
Theres a way of sharing the you tube app from the parent account so ot can be downloaded onto the kids account. I've done that with Netflix too

No. The tablet is the same. The kids version just comes with a case and a subscription to kids unlimited.
