During the early 2010s, the irreverence of Dan and the Shipping Container, along with giving Bomani a spot on HQ, to how the company started systematically decoloring their lineups made me follow Dan, Bomani, Pablo, Michael Smith, Jemele Hill and others. And when I found out that Dan and John Skipper made Meadowlark Media? Totally supporting them!
I'm waiting for some of the rejected stones to become the keystones for this new enterprise! Join the rebellion, Ariel!

We met while you were walking outside of Wrestlemania 38. Just wanted to say aloha and put a name to the face. We didn’t snap a pic but someone I was walking with asked you for one and I took it for him.
Thanks for being nice to him.

I didn't always agree or like some of their shows, but I still watched them. There is a massive difference between manufactured controversy, and honest true opinions. Part of what I love about America is that you can disagree with someones opinions without needing to erase them. That is the seed of growth that has been behind some of the greatest stories of how opinions and prejudices not only changed, but also strengthened the bonds between cultures in America!ESPN was a great platform, but Dan and his Father were not created by ESPN, and also they were not "Erased" by ESPN. ESPN did not define who these Americans were. Just the act of writing this comment has brought even more insight to me. There are several personalities on various ESPN products that are clearly manufactured and scripted characters. Without ESPN those characters die, but the opposite is true for folks like Dan and his Dad!

@Malus I'm so over politics being injected into everything these days. It seems to be far more common from those on the left. I'm actually not a far right leaning person, but if you don't agree with the left on every single issue, that's what you're categorized as. An example is, I truly feel trans people should have the same rights as everyone else and shouldn't be discriminated against. Although, since I have a huge problem with it being ok for male athletes to compete with females because they decided to "transition" a short time ago, I'm a right leaning monster.

South Floridians, before they tuned to Dan and Papi on ESPN, turned the Radio dial every afternoon at 4 to listen to his Show on 790AM. It was clunky and confusing to hear at 1st but that show helped reform Talk Radio in South Florida, and nationwide. Still remember the episode where Dan secretly tape record his dad having a random discussion about the Miami Dolphins and Papi became a overnight celebrity. I'll admit I haven't heard his show in a while now (tuned out after they went on ESPN Full time and went to mornings) but it's good to see Dan in a better place (and this interview just proves how low ESPN has sunken as a network)

ESPN has fallen over the years. The political BS and bad decisions. How do you let a popular show and one of the highest rated shows just end. It was a fun way to talk about sports or other topics. Papi was the man. Thanks Dan and Ariel for the interview.
