  • One of the most respected voices in sports media joins Ariel for an open and honest conversation (and I'm glad we're having it). The two friends discuss Le Batard's new outlook on life thanks to the founding of his new company, Meadowlark Media, and his relatively new marriage. He also discusses the separation of his personal and professional lives, why he's happier than he's ever been and the importance of therapy in his life. Then, the guys trade stories about their respective times at ESPN, with "El Bastardo" Le Batard opening up about his exit from ESPN, and if he ever regrets joining the company in the first place.
Dan Le Batard is one of the most celebrated sports media personalities of the 21st century. Before founding Meadowlark Media in early 2021, LeBatard spent a decade at ESPN hosting The Dan LeBatard Show w/ Stugotz and Highly Questionable. Prior to joining ESPN, LeBatard wrote for The Miami Herald in his beloved home city of Miami.

This was awesome. So very rare to see or hear a Dan interview.
My favorite thing about Dan, is that he constantly seeks new talent so that he can bring exposure and a platform to them. I knew of Ariel through Dan's show and from his first appearance, I enjoyed him a lot, he seemed a bright, smart, passionate person. Unfortunately, I dislike MMA and boxing and all of that, so I don't have much of an opportunity to hear him, but I very much enjoy whenever he makes an appearance somewhere else and I get to listen to him.
I had only planned on watching this video for a bit, but got sucked in and watched the whole thing. Great job.

I stumbled upon this int and am now subscribing Ariel. So authentic and fascinating. The parts where Dan really dives into his mental health and becoming an adult and finding happiness, going through something that may be similar personally in my own life, from a mental health and career standpoint, it just really resonated with me. Thank you for this.

As a 13-year-old Cuban-American reading Dan Le Batard newspaper articles in middle school I was inspired by his way with words and most importantly, his way of making people and even teams feel like my friends. I have wept every time I read his letter to his father when ESPN offered him the studio in Hialeah. I agree with Dan some of the time but I will always love him and what he represented to me as a sports-obsessed kid in Hialeah. This is a great interview Ariel. Cheers!

Now in my 30 I resent that I got so little time with my dad. I chose not to have children because I couldn't be the reason someone chose to HATE, I couldn't bring a life into this Cold Heartless world.
