    The goats work well, my friend had a couple and he used to tie them to a post at times to keep them in an area to clear it out then move them around as needed. He just found he needed too many goats to get the results desired when they were free roaming. Great videos best of luck with it all and I'm certainly looking forward to what's to come with all the animals, hunts and what for. Thx for sharing, be well!

    It's pretty late in the year for the to really get after nesting. Mine are probably on their last hatch for the summer, but they will be back at it in Feb or March.

    Make a pulley system to the outside window that will bring up water buckets

    At 2:56 the one owl on the left twitching its wings is the cock bird communicating with the one on the right which is a hen usually he will do this to try and start a nest so I'd expect you'd have them go down soon, its purely a waiting game. This happens in my loft before they start nesting. ;D

    also an advice put something on top of the water bucket so they won't poop in it or it gets dirty and just make big holes surrounding the bucket on the sides a bit lower so they can stick their heads and drink and eat make one for food too ... like that they won't get sick and die ... and make sure they won't cut themselves sticking their heads and neck inside...like that you will avoid so many problems .. change their water every couple of days , and if it's hot give them something big enough so they can swim in like that they get rid of bugs .. 2 times a week should be enough , ONLY when it's hot not when it's cold

    I love seeing the progress at your farm. Maybe Foreman needs a Kitty in his life so he won't be so grumpy. And yes, please get some goats. They are such goofy animals. Dear Jordan's wife, I am a wife as well to a very adventurous, full of life man who keeps me on my toes, and I can sympathize if you want to say no, but will you please support Jordan's need for some goofy old goats? 😁😁😁

    Hey bro , run a Y split off your hose bib and run the hoes up the side of the barn . So you can shut the water off in winter and turn it in B4 climbing up the ladder ..

    The corn is too big for them to eat\swallow. You will need to grind it as my parents they raise pigeon and we always grind out corn and mix with protein so the chickens and pigeon will eat it.

    Best way to tell gender with the German owls or any pigeons. Grab one of the cocks you know for sure that it is a cock. Take another bird And put them in a separate box if he does circles it a female with him. If the first thing he does is throw himself at the other birds it's two cocks. You can tell they will fight bad.

    ofc they won't eat the corn if it's that big xD , corn is one of the best foods to help new baby pigeons grow faster

  • @alexsaquatics7620
    @alexsaquatics7620 5 років тому +2

    If you want the pigeons to eat all of there food only feed them 1 once or twice a day and only leave the food in for 30 mins don't leave it in all day and whistle when you feed them it will make them see you as a food sauce plus all the food lying around will attract rats and mice I used to keep racing pigeons I would even separate the wild babies from the pearants at about 6 weeks or they will be terrified of you because they will see there pearants being scared of you

    You can " NOT & SHOULD NOT " keep pigeons like you would with 🐔's & your turkey's? They are birds . You should do more research on pigeon lofts designs . The whole set up it good but not the greatest. You are using up too much space for nothing . also manager thing " NEVER PUT RACING PIGEON BRANDS ON FERAL PIGEON "! That's a must never ever do that or to mixed birds or aka the rock pigeon . 🙏 You will have better results

    • @JordansHarvest
      @JordansHarvest  5 років тому

      I do need to keep my pigeons separated from everything else. The bands I’m using are just numbered bands so no worries there.
