I truly learned a lot... and it was affirmed and confirmed through this that I made the right decision of discontinuing the last relationship I had. And the lesson I learned was... "Marriage according to the Scriptures is "Til death do us part"... What I had before was "Until further notice"! Thank You Holy Spirit for the correction and the lesson! May I know why CCF, celebrates valentine? Please enlighten me brothers and sisters. It's a feast for ST. Valentine and pagan celebration like other religion is doing.
I just got out of a 4yr long relationship, (bf gf) I decided to leave because even though i was sure by my own standards that he is the one, God's standards of Love in the marriage is sacrificial even to the point of death. I am already serving as a leader and worshipper in ccf but he still wants me to leave ccf to follow him. My health deteriorated during our 4+ yr together. Constant crying and self pity. He says he loves me but is not willing to sacrifice for me and marry me. So i left. God is still so good, i know i must submit to God first and His standards in a husband is priority. Not mine. Love is a decision not an emotion or feeling. This message speaks to me, bringing me comfort in this time if chaos and hurt. I submit to the Lord's hand in my life. God is always perfectly moving and intervening and my confidence is with God. Jesus loves me. ❤

Things that might help: understanding his interests and showing that you understand, thinking his highest good (if you are the Christian nearest to him, then you are the best to influence him), praying for him... and transferring your "joy" dependence to the will of the Lord since you are a Christian.
