Brilliant talk by a gentleman who is not just a scholar but an empathetic observer of the world of art and artists of Carnatic music! Kudos sir! Please enrich us with more such illuminating presentations in the days and years to come! Thank you-
Namaskaram. Absolutely excellent talk as always. I am seeing all your videos. Far too many that unable to complete watching all that you have shared but I don't want to miss out on any that you have shared. Thank you very much. But this one was superb 👍At the same time we love to all your presentations.
I am getting addicted to your videos having lived in Chennai for more than two decades and a fan of Carnatic music. Keep going. Do you have a research team or your lone efforts. Do you teach in media communication courses so that you pass on to Genx your skills.
Dear Sriram, great research and nice presentation. Your historian approach and objective impressions are quite scholarly. One request, since this is a comprehensive account of women musicians, were there any notable woman mucians from Kerala and in Andra Pradesh historically, whom we could consider towards completeness ? May be it is a lecture subject on its own, but who else can attempt such topics than Sriram ?
Early in history goddess of knowledge was called vak devi today worshipped as mookabika ....at one time one goddess namely adi parashakti took all forms. Division into durga .Lakshmi saraswati happened later ..hope sriram reads this

Another treasure trove by Sriram. Fantastic
Even today, many senior accompanists ( men) do not accompany lady artists. This should change.
