... And it's incorrect. The term (western) classical music covers all eras of European music (medieval, renaissance, baroque, classical, romantic, modern, and all subgenres). The difference is that one is written with a capital letter, and the other is not.
The word "classic" by definition means something that is old, but valuable and serves as an example of perfection to all the following generations, an adjective which suits this type of music quite well, while "Classical" with capital "C" or the syntagms "Classical-Era" and"Classical-Period" refer to the middle to late 18th century style.
This is a very interesting, entertaining and nice video. But there is nothing wrong with the word "classical" as an umbrella term for the western art music.
Yep, Late Liszt (1880s) produced a number of impressionist/expressionist pieces. Also of course that's when Debussy, Satie, and other composers known in impressionism began composing.
That was a 40 second, painful to watch time travel joke. I switched videos but this one seems the most comprehensive anyways. It has "class presentation" vibes from hell. Good god damn.
The Fullness of Music. Let this both be a comfort and an encouragement to stir up your soul to look forward for heaven. God being so rich in mercy, gave me the grace to think deeper as I pondered on the concept of music. I know for a fact that no combination of words will be able to describe the amount of joy and hopeful expectations which I received as I thought deep about music. Let me just begin with this, if you love music you do not want to miss heaven!!! Let me put it like this. Imagine a musical instrument you have never heard or seen, but then you stumbled upon the best of the best playing that instrument. Oh your heart will be overwhelmed. In heaven there will be many many many musical instrument that your mind can not imagine being played by the bests of the bests, myriad of angels in unison worshipping the King of Kings, The Lord of Hosts. If only you could feel the indescribable joy in my heart as I write this. Repent and put your trust in Jesus, and God promises that you will enjoy Him for all of eternity. I hope this be a comfort to many just as it has comforted me. God bless you.

Holy shit man, you spent way, way, way too much time pretending to be hurt as a time traveler in that first bit haha. It made me very uncomfortable, but I also laughed alot. I know what you were going for, and I appreciate the video, but I couldn't not say something about that bizzare moment. Haha.

I'm not sure that you hate learning, just the way you've been taught up until this point!

Baroque kicks Classical in the butt anywhere any day.
I personally don't get why you would favor one over the other, there are fantastic composers in all eras

Good video
Thank you!❤🎶🎵
i love the steins gate sound effect
In my opinion it's Romantic era 1820 - 1880. I would put expressionism/impressionism 1880 - 1940. And then the "modern" era.
Yep, Late Liszt (1880s) produced a number of impressionist/expressionist pieces. Also of course that's when Debussy, Satie, and other composers known in impressionism began composing.
@@Souls_p_ Only Debussy (and perhaps, in part, Ravel) was a true impressionist composer.
7:09 what are those art works?

Somebody let me know please
Does anyone know the Medieval piece that’s playing in the background?
It's called Deum Verum
Geogorian chant
I'd always classified Debussy as Romantic...
Isn’t Debussy considered romantic as oppose to modern?
He's an impressionist and yes, I would consider him to be one of the last composers of the romantic era.
ahem i am watching this for class

Production and so-called "humor" over accuracy, factual information and appropriate examples. Terrible.
You need a teleprompter.
Great info, bad theatrics, shitty edit. Overall, okay I guess.
There's classical music sensu stricto and classical music sensu lato, so don't talk down to people for using the broad sense.
Why the hell were you reading of a script!!!
So much of stupid acting 🙄
Stop playing
It’s boring
superb
